More recently, when we needed a new fixture for our kitchen sink, he recommended a really nice, modern one on Amazon that he’s used for other clients that was a lot less expensive than others he could have recommended. We very much appreciated that! He did the same thing for our water purifier that he replaced. He’s also put in a kitchen screen door, has fixed our toilet, and fixed a front water leak. And when we had a small paint job he referred us to a painter that he works with and they both came over to review the project and his painter did a very nice job. Victor helped me stay in communication with him until the job was completed. We highly recommend him!!

Dan was honest and thorough describing the work that can be done to restore the speaker cabinet.

After a few weeks when I returned to pick up the speaker I was very pleasantly surprised to see how well the repair looked. The colors were perfectly blended to match the color of the speaker cabinet.

A rodent had gnawed on the dining table’s apron while it was in storage and the top side of the table had gotten some water damage on a corner. It was a nice table and a family heirloom so we tired to save it. Save it he did. The close up pic is the final result of the top corner where the water damage made the underlying composite wood swell. While you can tell that there is a repair there, the overall result is something that we are extremely happy with. The other pic is of the finish that we asked for, a mat finish. The rodent chew marks that were left on the apron are gone and you can’t see a trace of a repair.Working with Dan and his team was also great.
The important thing to remember is that they are a very busy shop and they take great care with the pieces that are entrusted to them. A good example of his customer service was that he really took the time to ask us what the final result was that we were looking for. We wanted to retain the character of the dining table, leaving the wear it had from when it was with my wife’s grandfather but we wanted quality repairs and a nice finish. Dan and his team came through.

Once you drop off a piece of furniture be patient and follow up every few weeks, as I said they are a busy shop. They also operate from two locations so make sure you agree on they best way of communicating. For us it was email and the occasional phone call. These days, repairing and keeping furniture is much better than trying to buy new stuff. Our table was by no means an expensive piece of furniture but it was extremely functional and had special meaning to us. The price we paid for repairs was probably on par with what we would have paid for another table but it wouldn’t be the same and we’d probably have to wait weeks for it to arrive. I will bring other pieces to Dan and his team in the future.

We were under a tight deadline (baby on the way) to get our couch cushions re-stuffed because the foam was completely broken down and gone. Dan helped us out and got our cushions stuffed for us in just about 1 week and they are so comfy and look so great now! Then when we discovered about a week later one of the cushions was sagging due to some broken springs in the couch that we didn’t know about, he again came to our rescue last minute and helped us reattach the springs so the couch was safe and strong again. I would go back to Daniel again and again with any furniture repairs or revamps I need in the future. It’s kind of hard to appreciate the difference in the pictures, but here is the before and after. The difference in comfort was astounding.
