I HIGHLY recommend.When he arrived, he spent at least 45 minutes diagnosing issues I presented to him. He took the time to carefully examine each issue before providing a quote for the job. His quote was fair and importantly it didn’t change once the work for more difficult. He explained the issues clearly and went to work.

    In terms of work, He fixed required three outlets that had been improperly wired by a prior serviceman. He sourced an electrical short in a fixture and installed another fixture.

Before we agreed to the cost, he tried to open my ceiling light which fell apart, and he could not/didn’t put the effort to return my light as it was before. He apologized for that. Then I did not agree to pay him the ridiculous amount he wanted me to pay him—$ 100 per light (just a replacement recessed light). When I disagreed with his price, he told me I would not get anyone to do my job. Not only that. He started talking about me to the painter I hired to paint my house and that I wanted to pay him very cheap, and I would not get anyone with the price I wanted him to replace the light. For your next estimation visit, remember that you do not get to say to them that no one will do their job. Second, you do not leave your customer with broken light that you broke. Third, I don’t remember discussing the price with the handyman you found in my house. You go if you don’t like it. Fourth, be realistic, do not try to rip home honors!

    After two kids and a dog, my grandmother’s Chinese Chippendale furniture was ready for landfill, but I couldn’t bear to part with it! Too many memories!
    Didn’t know what to do! Then, one day, I read about Upholstery Specialists on Autumn St. George and Paul to the rescue. The fretwork had been broken, but over the years I carefully saved every piece, and they put it all back together like a jigsaw puzzle. Plus, they’re so sweet! They understood perfectly that the furniture had to be saved, otherwise, something inside me would die!!!
    Well, I think they were surprised that I didn’t stint at all on my fabric choices. George even warned me with due concern that it would all cost money. It did, but the results were great! When my son saw our living room, he started shouting, “Beautiful! Beautiful!” At first, I didn’t know what he was exclaiming about. Of course, it was our new antique furniture.

I lived behind their building for almost 2years. Till I got back on my feet. They didn’t hassle me, have me removed, etc. Even though they didn’t like it. I was safe. Now i”m forever grateful. We need people more like them.
    I observed the shops work ethics during that time. And hard work. Good custom work also

The worn and soiled printed fabric had to go after 50 years. Had George and Paul and his team re-upholster from quality fabric we supplied and purchased at a store in Milpitas, CA. George recommended Naugahyde on the arms. The re-upholstered work was done perfectly and they look wonderful. Highly recommended.

This effectively included rebuilding portions of the column, re-painting, and re-caulking these columns. We also asked Stephen to repaint a portion of our ceiling and one of our indoor closets.In short, this is one of the most positive experiences I have had hiring a contractor to do any work, not to mention a somewhat complicated repair. Everything from the initial interaction, to the quote visit, and the eventual repairs was handled professionally and efficiently.

    I hired him for a bathroom remodel and when he came in for the consult we exchanged thoughts about what to do. I ended up going with his suggestion which he had very great reasons for and I’ve been very pleased with the outcome.
    During the process he communicates well, updates on timelines, budget, which contractors were working at my house that day, etc. I was also at work for the majority of the job timeline and had no concern about having his team in my house. He wrapped up the job in May (ahead of schedule) and I have not had any issues since. I would work with Stephen again.

Stephen helped me with some general repairs inside and outside of our house – siding, tiling, painting. All of the work was done very well. His communication was exactly what you’d hope for, and we were always informed of timing, expectations, costs, everything. In terms of price, we found him to be very competitive and the end result was worth it. We’ve had not great experiences with contractors in the past, and so it’s very refreshing to come across Stephen. We’ll definitely look to him again when our next project comes up, and I 100% recommend their work.

I was excited to share the experiences with friends and neighbors about how professional they are but I started to think they may become too popular and busy to work for my future bath remodeling. Stephen is extremely professional, responsible and reliable. He gives thorough inspection and provides his suggestions according to our requirements before the project starts. And during the construction, he visited the site frequently (almost everyday and checked every tiny details which even we may have missed although his team already did very well. His team always keeps the sites clean everyday before leaving. The final results amazed us! I really appreciated all his work to help our house reborn.

However towards to the end of the project, they didn’t connect the cable properly while installing the treadmill. I had to step in and troubleshoot with them for half a hour. With my guidance, they were able to reconnect the cables correctly. This redo took them extra 40 minute. The work were supposed to be done within 3 hours.
