They mostly did a good job, they were quick and efficient and communication was good. My complaints are 1) markup on networking equipment over street price was quite high, and 2) the mechanical installation of the rack equipment I purchased from them was rushed, a bit slapdash, and will have to be redone at some point.

I reached out to John on a Friday afternoon about installing video cameras. He got back to me immediately, and we scheduled his visit for the next day (Saturday). He gave me an estimate that very same day. I asked him several follow up questions over the weekend, and regardless of the time and day, he responded immediately.John was so responsive and knowledgeable that we didn’t bother shopping around with other vendors. We signed up on a Monday, and two days later, John and his team were at the house installing the cameras. The team was very efficient and organized. The cameras wires were neatly placed, and the team cleaned up everything after they are done. John made sure everything works, including my garage doors were closed properly (totally outside the scope of his work), before he left. I would definitely recommend John and his team to everyone. I wish all vendors were like John — responsive, efficient, and knowledgeable.
Stuart Block rated it 5/5: This review is long overdue – and now especially well-earned based on how well our system has held up and John’s incredible responsiveness when we had to relocate a portion of our system to accommodate some remodeling.John was referred to me in 2016 by a good friend in the real estate industry who hired John for several commercial projects as well as his own home. John had thoughtful (and very clear) recommendations for a six-camera home security system. We met with one other vendor and selected John based on his knowledge and his price (as well as my friend’s recommendation). His guys were neat and clean and efficient on the install and did a great job of hiding the cables. John was frequently on-site to oversee the work. John walked me through the setup on my laptop and phone and the system has been working for us ever since.
Most impressively, any time I have called John since 2016 (including tonight!) with a minor question or the occasional troubleshooting issue (mostly due to a change of phone or computer on my end), he has been incredibly quick to respond and has never charged me another dime, including making a visit to my house to assist on one occasion. Really outstanding service from a very stand up guy.

Our company has multifamily and commercial buildings all over San Francisco and in other areas of the USA. Our tenants & residents are grateful we invested in the buildings and have more piece of mind for safety. We just recently had SFPD come to review footage and commented on how clear, and easy to playback very necessary videos from the week prior were.
If I call John and he doesn’t pick up I always get a call back within the hour. We literally fired the old company after numerous attempts trying to troubleshoot glitches and poor customer service. John is very direct and we appreciate all his insight and expertise. Great company to deal with very flexible. He usually gives us a few options with different quality products, but did not hassle us for all the upsells. He focused on what was important for our business needs. He was not a pushy sales person and just explained the benefits and how each option would help us. Throughout the portfolio we have been able to add value by replacing the old existing systems.
If you’re in the market for a new security system, I highly encourage you to at least reach out to John as he is always willing to price match.

Kate Ma rated it 5/5: Swiflane has been a fantastic addition to our building! Our previous intercom system was difficult to use and left us vulnerable to break-ins. On the user side, our residents now have multiple methods of secure entry. The Swiftlane system is intuitive as well. Nearly all of our residents were able to easily set up their user accounts and start using the system on their own. On the management side, the admin portal is great for remote control of the system and is accessible both by computer and mobile app. You can easily see a log of all activity at the intercom and can adjust codes or users as needed. Our previous system required in-person programming and required a lot of guesswork for figuring out what codes were in use. The admin portal is especially great for us since we are a small building and self-managed, and do not have a lot of time to make constant changes. Compared to other options we were considering, Swiftlane was a much better value — lower cost with more modern features and better support. The Swiftlane team was quick to reach out and responsive to any questions and concerns we had about the system features and installation process. I highly recommend Swiftlane for any multi-family residence looking to upgrade its entry system.

The equipment failed repeatedly and is built on a Windows operating system. Customer service was a joke, and the price of the unit was more than double the Swiftlane solution. As soon as we installed Swiftlane the residents lit up with praise about the ease of use, the facial recognition, their ability to receive packages without a virtual doorman. We saved so much money on not needing a virtual doorman, equipment cost, and service charges that it was like Swiftlane was paying us to put in the units. We have one on the front door, and one on the package room and they work seamlessly and magnificently. If these guys were raising money, I would invest. I am a convert. The Butterfly boat anchor is pictured below. It was removed from the wall by force.

Use of the system as far as playback and recording was explained to me but very vague. I could use the app to view live but that’s about it. It was fine until we had a vandalism incident and I needed to play back data from the day before. That’s when I met one of their technicians named Joan Roa. She was amazing. Unbelievable patients She walked me through everything to get her remote access to my system and she completely took it on her own to conform the system then spent over an hour with me training me how to use my system on site and remotely. She is one of the nicest tech support rep that I have ever talked with. Very thoughtful and considerate to spend the time it took to get me comfortable using my system. The level of responsiveness, professionalism, and skill is unparalleled in my experience. Just yesterday, Raul completely transformed my IT setup, taking a mass of cables (even though color-coded) into a streamlined and safer configuration. It was beyond anything I could have hoped for.
