The tech was wonderful, knew immediately what was wrong. When I initially called (due to the tablets black screen) the CSR just told me to unplug the tablet. However, they tech informed me that not only due you have to unplug the tablet but you have to remove the battery as well. Once he did that, the table was fixed (he figures the cause of the tablet going black was do to a power surge). So I am changing my one star to four. It would be five, but it really shouldn't take leaving a bad review to obtain assistance for your security system. Nonetheless, I am very appreciative of the ADT staff who went the extra mile for me and was able to send the tech out. Thank you, all very much! Original review: First year using ADT, and I couldn't be more disappointed. The tablet failed, completely black screen. Our vacation home is in AZ and we are only their in the fall and winter months, so this system failing after less than a year is a huge deal. I attempted to make an appointment to get a tech out, giving them a week heads up, but on the day my husband will be in AZ they have no available appointments. I'm paying for a security system, which does not provide any security and getting a tech out to the house on the dates we are available is impossible. Very disappointing to say the lease.

Sharon stated that working through her, she only requires the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number, and date of birth. She also advised that a soft pull of your credit history happens, if you decide to begin ADT services. At no cost, Sharon will come to your home, make suggestions for home security and give you an estimate without requiring your Social Security Number. Sharon is personable and will find you the best discounted price. A few days prior, I spoke with John, customer service agent at ADT to inquire about an estimate for a home security system. John asked for my birth date, social security number and stated my credit would be pulled in order to provide an estimate. I advised John that I would not be continuing with the call as highly personal information should not be required to do business with ADT.
Josh rated it 1/5: Horrible customer service. We were moving to a new house and were existing customers with about 18 months left on our contract. Our phones kept blowing up with reps calling about transferring services to the new house to AVOID the $700 cancellation fee and existing account would get cancelled and be a smooth transition. Sales rep Jorge came to our front door and talked with us. We went ahead and decided to transfer services and its been a nightmare ever since. We were still getting billed for the old property for 3 months and I've been on the phone with customer service multiple times and they could CARE LESS . Mind you after about the 10th rep and non stop runarounds and passing back and forth between departments, I was finally able to get the old property cancelled but guess what? Here comes the $700 cancellation fee on our bill. After calling about this situation and speaking to about 10 different people, having to explain over and over and AGAIN being passed around back and forth between the same departments, no one wants to help, or fix our account. Its so frustrating that these reps have no accountability nor desire to help. I get it, mistakes DO HAPPEN and I'm understanding about that, but FIX IT!! Its the runarounds and feeling stuck that upsets me. Now we were forced to block them from taking money out and now we have to go in person to an ADT store to get this sorted out before we pay anything. Its been nothing but a headache.

Never where we told about a 5 year contract, we had discussed 2 years. We get services like this to help us sleep better and not get robbed when we are actually still being robbed. Great Job ADT

David Jacobson rated it 5/5: I had one of those small jobs that a shop like this really doesn't make a lot of money on. I pulled into Sound FX and told them what I needed done and they jumped all over it for me! It's easy to give great customer service to someone spending thousands in your shop. When someone walks in and spends less than hundred dollars and is treated as well as I was today, this is a company that truly values every customer, not just the big dollar ones!
Sound FX gets my highest recommendation and I hope this review causes you to support this business!
Dave Loew rated it 1/5: Worst selection of a business for stereo installation I could have made. I compared pricing for the same stereo to other shops and this shop beat the pricing. however the installers screwed up more things than I could believe. They left the stereo incomplete and would not fix it, they installed my lights and left bare wires touching the frame and it fried the LED panel, they over torqued the setting on the front headlight leaving it flopping around and unsalvageable. So both these lights, front headlight and rear, had to be replaced. And of course you can't purchase just one light for the front and rear they only sell them in sets.
So the cost to reorder the sets, along with having the wiring fixed and purchasing new lights has cost me an additional 800 dollars.
The shops owner denied culpability and would not help. I tried to post with zero stars but Google wouldn't let me.
Hunter Rudzik rated it 1/5: First things first, got these installed and they seemed super chill about it. Had them in for about a week and then they started to go out. Took it in to get looked at and they said the Control Nob was broken and needed to be replaced. After about a month I decided to take a look at it myself. Control Nob works fine, the wires they installed were completely torn and melted not including they did not even set it aside so it melted to the battery. So now I had to replace the relator and the wire and it works perfectly fine. I thought they were some cool dudes. Never trust someone that does it cheap. Learned this with these.

Unfortunately that company sold out to another company, and I wasn't getting much of a friendly vibe from the new company. So I did some research and found US Alarm Brokers. Switching to this company was the best decision ever. Brandon set up an appointment quickly, and came out and assessed my system. He put together several proposals and we quickly had a plan to slowly switch over. Brandon is a pleasure to do business with. He is very knowledgeable, and there wasn't any high pressure sales tactics. I highly recommend Brandon, and US Alarm Brokers to anyone looking for a security system.

He could not get the system running right and then started to charge us for visits to fix it without telling us. Last straw was when he went on vacation leaving no one to help if the system did not operate correctly. We had an issue with one of our doors and he said it would have to wait till he got back from vacation. So we found Titan and what a pleasure. The cameras the other dealer sold us, that the previous company said could not record, can record! Titan showed us how. They also installed new camera's for us, they made sure all components in our location were operating correctly and every one at TItan has been a pleasure to deal with. We are very happy we made the switch. Our security system is running smoothly and I know if something needs attention we can call Titan and they will take care of it. Highly recommend Titan Alarm.

Last service call, we waited and they claimed that they did not have the gate code, did not call the phone numbers on file. Did not show up and had us wait for 7 hours. Not the same service since the original company CCS alarm sold to Titan Alarm.

After the good experience the first time, had them unmount the TV they had mounted, move it to a friend's house and mount it there with a Mantle Mount, and then mount a new TV at my place. Each job was well done. One minor quibble is that they weren't able to finish the job at the friend's house in the time they allotted and they had to reschedule and come back to finish it. (Mantle Mounts are much more complex installs than regular mounts. And although I made clear what mount would be used, they didn't seem to take note of that.) Each job was done with care, quality, professionalism, and friendliness.

I was ready to purchase. He said hed get back with an estimate within "a few days". Mark never emailed and estimate (not in my spam folder either), or called, or stopped by or texted or mailed a letter, or anything. Just left me hanging. After 2 weeks of having such a bad experience i went to a more expensive competitor. I really liked that guy. No follow up means no customers.

So I didn't go fill out a application because it will waste my time so yeah . Tracy is a customers service person.

Michael hillman rated it 1/5: I signed up with a company called Bay alarm two years ago which Central Alarm bought. I paid for internet and cellular service for my home. Received calls that when the internet was down they lost communications. Right after I bought their service a tech came to my home to tell me my internet was down. He could not figure out the cellular service issue. Recently A service tech came to my home after I was told they could not connect with my system. after checking told me that the system was never updated when installed so that is why I never had cellular service. I called the local contact and his voice mail and mail box was full. When I called Central Alarm he would call back and say he would get back to me, which he never did
Today he called and said the tech was wrong and my cellular was only off for a short period of time.
Tired of the lies and poor service so I discontinued my service today.

Security was a top priority, so we started the process of interviewing companies to install an extensive camera system. All of the companies we interviewed found the project daunting simply due to the distances involved. Many refused to even quote it, the few that did blew the roof off our budget. That is, until I was referred to FDC Security. Kevin came in with a game plan that would get the job done, and for a reasonable price. He and his whole crew installed our equipment quickly and professionally, and it has been totally reliable for over two years. Thanks Kevin and Gang!

They are courteous and prompt. Job is done flawlessly, the systems they install are top of the line and they will spend as much time with you as needed to review the system and make sure you completely understand the operating procedures.

John Meech rated it 5/5: I normally don’t do much in the way of reviews, but AV Specialist is number one on my list. We have been dealing with them for about the last six months. I have been dealing specifically with Jim Casner, who has been outstanding!
We have completed several projects with them during this time. Jim has designed and installed an upgrade to our home theater system including researching and giving us his recommendation on a new TV. He has also installed a new Home Automation system for us.
Last Thursday our home computer network took a dump. Wi-Fi, internet, printers and some of our new home theater system and automation. The more I tried to fix it the worse it got. Late Friday night I sent Jim an email detailing the crash. As the electronics gods would have it Jim called me first thing Monday morning and told me he had some time that morning, that he could come by.
Jim showed up at the agreed upon time with all the necessary equipment and tools. In about an 90 minutes he had the new equipment installed and working. This was just a stroke of luck that he had time available.
Every employee of AV Specialists that have worked at our house has been great. They are all professional, a great work ethic, knowledgeable and neat and clean.
Ok, you got the great now the the other side. Their prices are a little on the high side. But in my opinion you get what you pay for. I paid for great quality components and got great customer service with it.
It was well worth every penny!

What is also very significant to note is that when problems arise, they are very quick and efficient in solving them. I recommend without hesitation.
