He advised what follow up steps I needed to make sure there is no mold after a leak. He contacted the restoration department for me and set up a same day appointment. Ted came and replaced my old water heater since 1996 year. Ted is very professional. Work done excellent. He explained me everything and differences between 50 and 80 gallons. The huge plus he has everything in his car and I didn’t need schedule another appointment for setting all up. Another plus I have 1 year guarantee on work and 6 years on tank. If something happened with tank during 6 years Michael & Son will take care and will contacted with manufacturer by themselves. Ted saved my comfort in life and now I can celebrate new year with hot water. Thank you very much for highly professional service!

    Work on water heater:

    1. Changed pressure valve- $317.27

    2. Changed the tray/drip pan- $494.95

    3. Fix a leak on a different copper pipe(not on water heater) – $80.00

    Total Approximate work hours: 4 hrs

    Approximate per hour charge- $215.32

  • Leah Brewer rated it 1/5: Fixed a leak, pipe leading from house to sidewalk. Leak was at side walk. Did not affect inside house. Removed bathroom sink, added a new valve when old valve worked fine. Left us to put dry wall back. Put cut out in drywall to get to new valve. We had to put sink back.
    Filled sidewalk with dirt & rocks. 1st rain it collapsed. Called to have them come out. Response "be out this week". No show. Called again "be out today". No show. Called 3 times. "Be out this week to refill with gravel". No show. Side walk had sat like this for 4 weeks. It is a hazard for people walking or car pulling into driveway over it. I called concrete company to come fix. 5 weeks later I still do not know if Michael & Sons plans to come out or if they ever did.
    The employees here who did the work were very professional, nice & hard working. But do not know why they had to do work in bathroom. Leave us to fix everything. Then never show to fix problem that was their fault. Thankfully Baltimore County let us use their caution cones.

Dale was the technician who came out and he was extremely knowledgeable and professional. It was refreshing to deal with someone who cared about their work.   • Monica Hetrick rated it 5/5: We have had nothing but positive experiences with Saffer Plumbing over the many years, two houses, and multiples projects we’ve used them for including installing a hot water heater, installing new toilets, replacing a shower faucet, replacing a dishwasher and garbage disposal, snaking pipes, etc. They are always on time, responsive, knowledgeable, professional, reliable, friendly, and fairly priced.

    Most recently we noticed the seal on one of our toilets seemed to be leaking slowly at its base. They came out that same day and fixed it immediately. The plumber shared that while the toilet was past its original warranty since those same toilets now had a longer warranty than when we originally purchased them, the service was completely covered. It cost us $0 for his repairs other than the tip we insisted he take for his exceptional service. He went above and beyond as all Saffer staff do making sure to expertly fix the issue and leave the repair area cleaner than how he found it.

    We have enthusiastically recommended Saffer Plumbing to friends, neighbors, and coworkers alike and everyone has been as satisfied as we have been.

    Our hot water boiler has an issue during Christmas Holiday, and we waited a few days later after the holiday so that we should be able to get a “normal reasonable service fee”. However, we were still getting a very bad experience.

    We figured out there are some issues with the boiler gas valve. The technician arrived and identified like what our thoughts. He said the problems are the gas valve and its connected accessories to the burner, and he charged $396 to replace them. My husband thought the technician is going to replace the valve and connected accessories, and the charge of $396 included a gas valve, accessories, and labor fee, so he agreed with the charge.

    The technician started to replace the thermocouple in the first place, and it turns out the boiler is alive. So he did not change the gas valve. But eventually, he still charged $396. It takes less than 20 minutes to fix the problem. The material of a thermocouple is only $11.5 on Amazon, but he still charged $396.

    The charge of $396 is way too much. And I wrote an email to complain about this issue to Saffer. But they ignore it without any response.

    They ask me to write a review. Here I am.

    Do not be cash cows like us. Even the review of Saffer is good. Do not too trust what they said. Ask for a detailed charge including every piece of accessories with their labor fee.

All materials came on time and installation was completed in a day and premises were left spotless. Today Zach came out for my free maintenance inspection. Everything checked out perfectly. We have literally never been so comfortable all summer in our home as we have been with this unit running and it is so much more cost effective than our other A/C unit which we keep as back up. I can highly recommend Amazing Heating & Air Conditioning.

Serviceman Tony explained problem and what was going to be done to fix it. Gave me a quote and also informed me of ways to reduce this cost by joining service plan. He explained the benifits but put no pressure on me to sign up. When parts arrived I was contacted by Amazing to schedule a time for them to come out and fix my furnace. With text and emails and phone calls I felt like they paying me a lot of attention which is important when you are having troubles, you don't want to be forgotten. Service was outstanding, prices decent, work was done in a timely manner with outstanding quality to detail. I would recommend and use Amazing again!

The lack of communication by this company is absolutely mind blowing horrible is an understatement. My A/C that is supposed to be brand new has broken now three time two years in a row. The tech that came to my home over a month ago claimed that it was our fault because the filter was dirty even though we had just changed the filter. But I went with it paid my hard earned money to get it fixed and also signed up for the premium service. Not even a week later the A/C broke again. They sent a new tech out who said that it was not our fault and that the previous tech didn’t know what he was doing. Now I am currently waiting weeks to get my a/c fixed. Called so many times without even the courtesy of a call back for me to call back and then tell me that they can’t find the part. Oh and to top it off tell me that they don’t know when I can speak to a customer service manager Alex because he’s in training even though I’ve called multiple times just ridiculous DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! ***This company is absolutely horrible if I could give zero stars I would. First they never answer the phone or call back. I paid thousands of dollars to get the inside and outside units replaced and every summer since it has not worked. I have currently been on hold for two hours because my ac is not working yet again for a second year in a row. Don’t waste your money with this business they will disappoint!!! Will be contacting Better Business Bureau on this company!

Supreme did the original install of the entire system about 3 years ago and their service support was as good as their initial work.. Definitely recommend.

They told me they would not be able to make it, but said they would be able to if I paid them the $250. I told them no and had my original fee refunded. After the service date, I received a text asking me to rate their service, and then 3 days later received another text asking how a named technician did at the appointment. So their system still thinks I had an appointment with them. I understand making money is the goal of any company but the lack of customer service and how they treat people because they opt not to pay an excessive fee astounds me. No apologies or anything from the receptionist.

    Stephen, our tech, was excellent and completed the job with efficiency and accuracy. He knows his stuff perfectly and was great to talk to in both a professional and informal sense. He answered all my questions and even walked me through some of the work he was doing so that I'd have a solid understanding of the system.

I have never been asked this by any contractor. Even estimates used to be free but I understand that has changed, but prepaying before anyone even comes out? What if no one shows up?? Absolutely not. We will pay for the work when the work is done.

I wasted a whole day waiting on these people. I told her they needed to waive the $89 diagnostic fee for my inconvenience. Again, I could hardly understand what she was saying. They called the night before and tried getting me to pay and told me I had an early morning appointment. To me they are slimy. I didn't hire them. They are less than professional and really want your money so you can't back out. I hired another company and their policy is if they are late they don't charge the service fee. That's reasonable. They need to be accountable. I'm surprised they have so many positive reviews. It makes me wonder if they are real.

They came on time, and stayed until the job was done. Did a full system check before leaving, found something wasn't quite right, and worked for another hour to make sure it's correct. They were very professional and polite, and I love the online invoice payment system- no having to phone in a credit card or write a check. Would recommend! They also were one of a few that would work in our high rise building on our water sourced heat pump.

They were very professional and polite, and I love the online invoice payment system- no having to phone in a credit card or write a check. Would recommend! They also were one of a few that would work in our high rise building on our water sourced heat pump.

  • Frank Longo rated it 5/5: My central AC unit died on Friday 7/15/2022. I scheduled 7 different companies to provide quotes for a replacement unit the following day. Smith & Son was able to provide the best price (by a long shot), on the highest quality replacement unit available, AND have it installed by the following Tuesday.

    The service techs that came to install the new unit arrived 30 minutes early, and completed the job almost an hour ahead of schedule. They were polite, professional, hard working, and very quiet. My wife and I work from home, and we were able to do our jobs while the techs were installing the new unit with zero interruptions to our work day.

    After the work was completed, the owner of the company Randy, came to inspect the work to make sure everything was in good order and answered any follow up questions we had.

    Its been a few days since the install was completed and so far everything is working like a dream.

    Thank you Randy and the Smith and Son team for the great service. I couldn't be more impressed with Smith & Son HVAC. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a fair price, great turn around time, and professional workmanship.

I got roughly 18 years out of my previous Rheem unit and its longevity I believe was related to the quality of the maintenance service that I received on it from Clean Air. When it was time for a new HVAC central air and natural gas furnace, they were best on price and brand from my three different installer quotes. Clean Air gave me three quotes from three very reputable brands. I choose Carrier and am very pleased with it thus far. Nice quiet central air conditioner system. Answered all my questions to help in my brand choice and registered my unit for me. They include a no charge check of your heating and cooling system in the coming year to further assure you that things are working correctly.
    In my opinion, a quality local business.

    Received call back Sunday morning and told tech would come THAT DAY. Wonderful surprise!!!
    He did come, checked the system and replaced the motor, and we were saved from heat stroke!!! Wascar Delos Santos was efficient and polite, did a great job….and our house is cool again. FIVE stars to Clean Air.
