But today they lived up to the advertising. Everything from the first phone call to the final walk through of the repair was absolutely stunning. The plumber was EARLY, assessed the problem, fixed it, SHOWED me the fix in *detail,* advised me on what other after-issues I may run into. All in about an hour. 10/10 plumbing, will plumber again.

I called Morris-Jenkins at 8:25 and was informed someone would be there between 12-3pm. Austin Ford arrived at 2pm and stayed to almost 7pm until my project (and few additional ones!) were done. Extremely pleased with the communication and quality that I received from this company and Austin, especially as a new home owner in an unfamiliar area. Cannot recommend enough.

James Gay, Matt Welbourne, Tyler Petty, and Lewis Holland replaced our water main from the meter to the house in one day. They did excellent work in extremely harsh conditions (95˚, mostly direct sunlight). We now have a hand hole on our side of the meter with a water cutoff and a pressure reducer that is easily adjusted. The water main pipe was installed within a protective outer PVC pipe. The entrance to the back of the house is completely underground. The pipe emerges from the floor, insulated, in the garage where it then connects to the existing main copper pipe for the house with another cutoff. Problem solved, and then some. We will call Morris Jenkins again the next time we need plumbing work.

  • Marcus Parenti rated it 5/5: Our house had a water leak where the line goes thru the slab foundation, between the meter and the shutoff valve indoors. I found Morris Jenkins using Google Maps Search and based on the sheer number of reviews and high ratings I contacted them for an estimate (which is free). Hiring a trustworthy contractor can be an intimidating task and based on my experiences I did not expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised. This company is not the cheapest, by far, but if you can get past the sticker shock and can afford them you will not be disappointed. A case of “you get what you pay for”. There were probably 10 or more employees involved at various points with this project and it went off like clockwork. Each party, based on their expertise, was called to the job to perform their function like you typically see on larger projects like house building, etc. Very efficient.
    Here is what they did:
    1) Buried a 2” PVC pipe with a tracer wire and ran ¾” PEX water line through it between the meter and the house. They were able to go through the original slab penetration, which is what I wanted, but did not expect them to be able to do.
    2) Added a new box just downstream of the water meter with an isolation valve and pressure reducing valve (removed old PRV inside house).
    3) Added a new box just before line enters the house so that if it were ever necessary in the future to repair or replace the line it would be much easier and with no digging.
    4) Added a whole house carbon filter with automatic backwash along with a new outlet in the closet.
    5) Replaced thermal expansion tank at no extra charge because it was installed improperly by the previous plumber.

    These guys kept me informed every step of the way and made sure I knew how to operate everything and happily answered dozens of questions. They also tried their best to keep areas as clean as possible and then cleaned the work area very nicely when they were done.

    Since so many were involved in this project, I know I will forget to mention more than one technician, but here are the ones that I can remember that worked on it:
    Boots, DJ, Ethan, Mike, Shane, Troy, and Zack. I’m sorry to anyone I have failed to mention.

He went through the trouble to explain to me how each system worked and what was broken in each. As bonus he also evaluated the ducts and crawl space. I highly recommend him and would call him again for help with AC systems any time!

    Josh gave us an accurate and fair assessment of what it kind of system would work best. One hour heating also always tries to give us the best price.

    The very next day I got a call from the representative. He was an able to move it up. The. Next morning they were here installing the new system. The installers were also awesome. They did the install and cleaned up the mess inside and out. They explained the new. System to me and my son. There are such fine young men just like the sales representative. I have already recommended the to a whole bunch of people

  • Ashlyn Mundy rated it 2/5: The bad: I needed one outside flood light replaced and one bathroom exhaust fan /light combo replaced. I already had the replacement fixtures on hand. Both of these things I could have done myself but to save myself the time I decided to pay someone for the convenience. Both jobs were super simple and when I booked the appointment online it gave an estimate for each job of $69. It in no way explained that $69 was merely the dispatch fee. For an hour of work they quoted me a price over $1,000. I said absolutely not and did not go through with the service. After the technician left I installed the flood light myself and since I still didn't want to deal with the exhaust fan, I called another company that had done good work for me in the past. They quoted me $225 to replace the exhaust fan. Michael and sons prices are nowhere near competitive or reasonable.
    The good: I was able to easily book an appointment online and receive service the very next day. Also Carlos, the person dispatched to my home waved the dispatch fee when he realized there was a misunderstanding on the estimates given online. He was very nice.

    1st time using Horne for device, It would be nice if they gave you a little heads up that they don’t carry the filters anymore and that you need to have them present before they get here so they can change out the filters on the HVAC system.

They even sent a tech out for free to give me a second opinion on my existing system to validate indeed the repair costs would have outweighed full replacement. They sell Mitsubishi. I had a Fujitsu system prior (worst system I've ever experienced). Sales tech was the most thorough of any of the contractors that came out. I had some come out who didn't bother to even measure! Horne took pictures of everything and was responsive every time I had questions. I have requested a service contract as a result.

Once we finally decided to move forward, Horne was able to have a sales technician visit us within 3 days. He (Hugh) was great in explaining all of our options to us to help us feel like we made the most educated decision. Our installation appointment was scheduled within 3 days of our downpayment which was very convenient. The technician's (Nick and Colby) communicated well and showed up promptly for the install. They kept our home very clean and we are very happy with the install. They also answered any questions that we had along the way. Overall we would definitely recommend Horne for any HVAC needs.

Our old HVAC unit was showing its age and Tony our favorite technician – who is very experienced, knowledgeable and honest, gave us the breakdown of the new motor and coils which had gone bad after over a decade of service. We hence decided to go for a new unit instead. Forrest, Horne’s sales person came and saw our current system and duct vents etc. and guided us with the newer units and their benefits. He was patient with our questions, and we selected a HVAC with a higher SEER rating than our current one. Two days later we had Colby and Nick who came and installed the new unit. They were professional and even laid out floor protection so that nothing in our home would get dirty. They installed the unit answered our questions and gave us the information needed to use the unit.

    On monitoring the unit we found that the cooling mode was not working and called Horne immediately. They sent Brian and Tony from their quality team, who inspected the system and found that some wires had got mixed up in the thermostat which they corrected immediately. Brian and Tony were very pleasant and professional to work with and were able to take care of the issue very quickly.

    Further, we would like to mention Stacy at the office who was very great to work with. She was professional and pleasant and got things organized quickly for us. It was great experience overall and whom ever we worked with at Horne provided great service. Thank You!

They did a great job, are really nice people, and offered a good price. I highly recommended them to neighbors, who all went with Bradham and had similar experiences.

    However, over the last couple of years, I have had 2 issues pop up: one ended up being something covered under warranty, and most recently a gas line leak. For the warranty work, they a service fee of around $90, and for the leak they charged me for the repair AND the same service fee. It would seem to me, service fee should be waived if a repair is done, especially on the warranty item.

From the salesman Matt that first came to our home to the techs who installed the ac and thermostat everyone was exceptional. With ac install they did inspections a few months after to make sure everything was working smoothly. They even sent out one of their electricians Tony to inspect the breaker after install. Quality work.
    Several months later we had an electrical issue (unrelated to ac) and called Acosta back for their electrical service. Tony came out again and diagnosed the issue and repaired the issue. He does quality work and cares about his work. And it shows he tested many things to make sure his initial diagnosis was 100% the issue.
    I could not recommend Acosta enough and would use them again without hesitation they're just a great company with exceptional staff who knows their stuff.

After discussion, they repaired the ceiling. The County inspector came to inspect installation which failed and the inspector about fell through the ceiling because of damage done at install. Komfort Air scheduled a apt to come out and finish the job so inspection would pass, called and canceled the apt, its been 3 weeks with no communication. Beware!!

  • Christopher Stokes rated it 1/5: I hired Komfort Air on September 27, 2021 to replace air ducts throughout I was told by the sales rep ‘Jason’ that this was a 2-day job. Fast forward to today October 17, 2021, the job is yet to be completed.

    On day 1 the technician came and the truck wasn't loaded correctly the material was from their previous job so they had to go back and pick up the correct material.

    On day 2 the technician were suppose to arrive between 8-10 AM but they never showed. After waiting around until noon I called the sales rep no answer, called customer service and was told I should have received a call earlier that day saying they have to reschedule due to lack of materials.

    The next time they were supposed to finish and after going beyond to check they forgot to replace the return system b/c the sales rep never took the proper measurement (the same case will the grills). Lastly, material was left for me to disposal and to compensate for such horrific service I was told I would receive a email with the details on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 and as of today the 17th nothing.

    Bottom line, double-check their work and except delays!

The original Goodman system was installed by Andersen and Andersen technicians kept it running during that time. We wanted to bring our HVAC system up to date so we contacted Andersen. They sent Omar Abundez and his assistant, Masin, out to check on our Goodman system. We decided to purchase a new system because we didn't want to pay money for fairly expensive repairs on our old system. We agreed on a new Rheem system on 3/14/2022. The very next day Omar and Masin were here at 9:00 They took our old system out, put our new system in and it was up and running by 1:00pm. Our furnace is in the attic accessed by pull down stairs. It isn't an easy task getting anything up there. They took out the old furnace and put the new one up there without any damage what so ever of any kind. They were great to work with and we were extremely pleased with their courtesy, their willingness to answer any and all of our questions, their installation work and their promptness. They cleaned up the attic and everything downstairs and we didn't have to do anything. They were awesome. We would highly recommend Omar and Masin if you ever get the option of having them do your installation.

Travis Crawford does residential and commercial and have a lot of experience handling a variety of jobs. I really appreciated the free consultation – the technician, Kyle, came out, diagnosed the issue and then was able to provide a price quote at the same appointment. It was very helpful to talk to a technician about the options and prices and not a salesman.
    We got scheduled within two days and JD and Wes are installation specialist. They handled all the logistics and were full service. I didn't have to help them figure anything out. It's expensive, you're unsure who to trust and it feels like you've heard it all before just to be disappointed. My experience working with Brandon at Sky HVAC was exceptional. I had 2 units replaced. Brandon was easy to work with. He took the time to understand what I needed and worked with me to find the best configuration that aligned with my budget. He kept me updated regularly and delivered on him commitment. Every business out there talks about great customer service. Very few actually deliver it. Chuck from Sky Air Conditioning and Heating Charlotte contacted me to setup a time for a free quote. He arrived on time, introduced himself and we immediately began a once over of my current system. He found one small item that would have to be changed out to meet current code. My current one is 26 years old. He also looked at my electrical panel and noted the current AC breaker ( just the breaker ) would need to be replaced to account for more efficient systems than 26 years ago. In addition to thoroughly going over the inside portion of the unit he also went into the space above the garage to inspect the venting pipes. When complete and giving me detailed explanations of everything involved he said he would work up the quote to send to me. After he left, within 30 minutes I had 2 detailed quotes sent to me and called me to let me know they were sent. Cut to the chase, the second quote I had was only about a $300 difference and that salesman was also very professional and not pushy. I felt comfortable with either company. The third one I could not get out of my house fast enough.

    Chuck was very professional, explained everything without getting too technical, zero hard sell tactics and not in the least pushy. In the end I went with Chuck and Sky AC *AND* they were offering 60 month financing at 0%. My install is scheduled for 11/7/22 and hopefully I will have a glowing review once it’s installed.     This visit was for routine maintenance but our first encounter with Sky was for a repair. I was pleased with that and decided to sign up for the regular maintenance. They are a quality company that is easy to work with
    My only con is that a 4 hour window for the tech to arrive for a scheduled maintenance seems a bit much. They did a good job of letting me know when he was on his way but I had to block off the whole second half of my day until I knew. It is understandable for a repair but not a scheduled maintenance. Overall though I definitely recommend Sky and Sonny (and no they didn't pay me to say that : )
  • Anne Moebes rated it 5/5: My father used to say "An honest person will never be without work". Any company that promises they don't make mistakes is lying to you. Everyone makes mistakes. But, it's the company that has the integrity to admit them and make them right that I want a long relationship with; in this case, that's Sky HVAC.

    My HVAC system had an evaporator coil leak; it was misidentified by my former HVAC contractor for over a year; indeed, they even charged me to replace refrigerant a few times. Clue? But when my energy bill soared, and the system continued to pump out cold air, I just knew something was wrong. So I called Sky HVAC. Frankly, a less seasoned technician for Sky also initially missed the leak. But, cudos to Sky because when I called back, they immediately (same day AFTER HOURS) sent their senior technician Patrick out free of charge. This guy is amazing. He accurately identified the leak and within a week replaced the coil and checked the system thoroughly and now it's working better than ever. He was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, honest, fair, smart and courteous. And my hat's off to Sky as well for sending Patrick out so quickly, after hours, on a Friday night no less, free of charge, and adjusting the bill to accommodate for any previous error. Needless to say, that's the company I want to do business with. Obviously they get that it takes a lifetime to build a reputation and a split second to lose one.

    I signed up for their maintenance plan, and if I have to replace anything else in the future, Sky will be my call; and i'll be asking for Patrick as my technician. Good job!
