I own a home in Old Farm after being unexpectedly plunked in a wheelchair when a foot surgery went bad I was out in front of my house pushing my lawn mower (yes pushing my lawn mower) when a WIRE NUT service truck passed by. The gentleman driving that truck took the time to pull over take the mower from me and finish mowing. Thank YOU . That was rare. I will always call on a company that takes the time to look around and so should you. I hope the owner see's this it's true.

The technician who provided our estimate apparently didn't take the measurements needed and when the hvac guys showed up they didn't know if they would be able to pull it off with our set up. Jeremy was great, not only did he figure out a solution but he was kind and very thorough. He gave us updates of what was being done and assured us he would find a way to make it right. He did! Jared came the same day and was very attentive – he not only restored the power, but checked safety of my electrical wiring – we found some issues (house is almost 40 years old). We scheduled time for an appointment for him to come, rewire and replace outlets on same circuit from garage to bathrooms to outdoors power. Jared and John did a fantastic job – they communicated with me about all my concerns, they took a great care of my home and were polite and efficient. Thank you WireNut for a job well done!

And scheduled the installation to be done quickly. This is very important to me as I live in an area that is already experiencing freezing temperatures.
One Source Home Service scheduled a technician to come out the same day I contacted them. Brandon arrived in the time frame expected. He cleaned and inspected the heater. He took pictures of the motors, blower, circuit board, etc… He used these to explain why the heater wasn't working and what it would take to get it functional again. He was professional and pleasant. He gave me the information I needed to make a decision on how to proceed with no pressure.

I was told in advance a plumber would have to reinstall the toilet and sink and I have (now had) a membership with One Source so I booked an appointment. The original appointment was canceled due to challenges during flooring (not related to the work, just the house) and called again when I had a good idea of completion. The next appointment was delayed due to One Source not having personnel to handle the work and I agreed (reluctantly) to a new appointment the following week. That appointment was today. They called around noon to ask if they could show up early and then showed up within the appointment window (not early). Looked at the work to be done and quoted me $1100. Note, I'm not asking for a new toilet, sink or washer, just a rehookup of the existing equipment. Never again will I use them!

That was refreshing, after having several salesmen-type people from other businesses. Joel and his partner came to do the install, they were on time and very focused on their job. A few days later a fuse popped on our furnace (not their fault, whoever previously hooked up our thermostat made this mistake) and Scott came out immediately that day to fix it at no cost.

Recently we decided to upgrade our furnace to a more efficient furnace. Their sales consultant, Scott B., provided the pros/cons of each furnace option. His thorough, no high-pressure presentation helped us pick the best option for us.
Dan B. & his team were right on time. The team was professional, courteous & took the time to explain the operation of the furnace & attached humidifier. Protective covering was placed on our stairs during the installation of the new furnace.
Our sales consultant, Scott B. stopped by during the installation to see how things were going. Additionally, John D., Home Heating Service’s install manager came by to check on the installation progress.

We had the technician diagnosis our 32 year old unit and was very upfront on our options of repair and expectations. I requested info on a new unit and he did not push the most expensive unit he pushed what unit was going to be best for our home and family. We then decided on a new unit and had to call the office for payment and scheduling. We were not happy originally because we were given the impression that turn around was going to be fairly quick for install and we were told it would be almost a month out. We scheduled anyways. Thankfully the lady at the office contacted me next day on a Saturday that they were able to get us scheduled that week. We were thrilled that they managed to make a window for us. The install day was smooth and they worked quickly and got us running A/C again. They were very knowledgeable and patient when teaching us about our new thermostat. After 14 years, it was time to replace the furnace and a/c. Alejandro and Erik were fantastic. They were professional and kept working until the job was done. They even patiently taught me to use the new thermostat. They were the Dream Team.

He was very knowledgeable and I never felt like I was being up-sold anything I didn’t need or want. On the day of replacement my technicians Alejandro and Eric were prompt and very professional. They did an amazing job replacing my 35 year old furnace with a high efficiency model, which could not have been an easy job! They fit the new furnace into the same spot and did a great job on my new external vent as well. They walked me through everything I needed to know about my furnace, filter, and new humidifier before doing paperwork and making payment. Gary even stopped by on install day to check in on Alejandro & Erik and drop off a SoCozy blanket for me, which was a nice touch! I’m a very happy customer and feel confident after this that the cozy club membership will be worth the money. Highly recommend SoCo if you need any heating/cooling work done
Edit: I had some installation issues pop up but the team came out to fix it very promptly. We’ve had our new heater turn off and Trevor came out to troubleshoot the issue (no charge with cozy club!). Trevor was very friendly and replaced a part and we haven’t had the issue since! I appreciate that if things go wrong this company takes accountability and makes it right 😊

These guys were able to come out same day (albeit after hours for a surplus charge but I was glad they could do it!) I was hoping it was a small repair like the pilot light had gone out, but turned out the water heater needed to be replaced (not surprising since it was 40 yrs old). Rob talked me through all my options and pricing and helped me settle on the the best option. We had to wait 4 days for the install but I knew that wasn’t unreasonable since I’d already talked with several other companies. He came on the appointee day, replaced the unit, and everything is working great so far.

He explained every detail of his work; why it was necessary to perform; and how his inspection and work could prolong the use of the furnace over the course of time. He tested for any carbon monoxide ( there was none detected).
He treated me with respect – and was extremely polite and well-mannered. Larry looked at the thermostat in the front room, and changed the batteries; before he finished, he installed a new filter – and left an additional filter for me to install in the course of the subsequent months. He looked at the water heater, tested for carbon monoxide.

Thank God for the quality of work!

Larry was the technician who came out to assist. Not only did he go above and beyond to fix our fireplace, but also resolved an additional issue discovered while in the process of repair, without charging me more than the original estimate. He also came back twice when he did not have the exact item needed to complete the job. Even worked around our schedules, on a Saturday no less–to complete the work.

Cannot recommend this service enough. Thank you for the thorough and professional job.

Furnace World came out, explained exactly what needed to be done and didn't try to convince me to get things I didn't need. They did a tune-up after 1 year and Larry was great – explained everything he was doing and gave me tips on how to maintain the system. Highly recommend!

I called around 10 on a holiday and they were able to squeeze me in before the temperatures dropped. Josh got my furnace up and running, changed the filter and did a safety check in no time flat. They were able to come over same day, repair, and replace any necessary parts all within about 3 hours. Communication and promptness are rare these days but these guys do it all. Plus, they were showing us pictures from the crawl space of what was wrong and also how it looked after. Plus, prepped us for any possible challenges later on due to the toll our furnace had already been taking.
Within 10 mins of repairs we could finally feel the house warm to where it should have been since winter started! Thank you!

Chris came over that morning and was able to get it running again and gave us several estimates to review for a new system and duct cleaning and was able to have a team out first thing Monday to swap out the old for the new. The entire team were professional and friendly and took the time to show us the work they were doing as well as share pictures of the before and after of the duct cleaning…..super gross! Lol They set up inspection from the city for today and the inspectors said they did a great job and remarked how the company even sealed along the top of the furnace hood (sorry I don’t know the lingo) and that most companies don’t take the time to do that. He said they really must take pride in their work. I would highly recommend this company!

The crew even stayed late to make sure they answered all my questions. I can't say enough about this company and the customer service. The phone was answered quickly and professionally. I was given a prompt arrival time and quote. I wasn't put on hold multiple times like other companies. I was text with updates which was very much appreciated. Shawn Brooks was my technician and was very pleasant to work with. He fixed my issue promptly, explained what happened and how to avoid it happening again. He didn't push sales of other products me. He answered my question about allergies etc. I will have Shawn back out for a spring tune up on my furnace and AC units. I highly recommend Elevation Mechanical.

The team that came over replaced my whole AC unit in a matter of 2 days. Juan and Kyle kept me and my wife updated on everything that was going on. They showed us how to use the new unit and things to look out for to avoid any future problems. They were very professional and friendly, as well as time efficient. I have spoken with April many times over the phone and she is so incredibly kind, communicative and professional. She always returns my phone calls in a timely manner and works us into their busy schedule if we are having issues with our unit. We strongly rely on their services because of my son's health and they have always been such a pleasure to deal with. All of their techs are so friendly and respectful when they are servicing our unit, this speaks volumes with this type of business. This business has never overcharged us for their services and they are very fair with their pricing. Cristian was the tech that did the maintenance on our AC unit last week and he was great to work with. He was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and detailed in explaining what he did/the services he performed and gave us some great advice on how to keep our unit running at it's best this summer. Tad Schexnailder rated it 1/5: Do not use this company! They do very poor work, lie, and tried to sell me a fan motor or furnace to cover up that their work caused the problem.
On November 3rd 2021 I called Brown’s Heating & Cooling out when the fan for our A/C and furnace would not turn on. They said that the problem was that the control panel was bad and so we had them replace it. I called the next day because the fan started to smell like something was burning after running for a few hours, shut off, and would not start up again for another few hours. When the second technician (different from the one that installed it) came out they said that nothing was wrong and that everything was fine in a very rude way. He then suggested that we replace the blower motor and get a new furnace. We declined because this sounded very suspicious since we have everything serviced regularly and our service technician said our unit was fine a few months prior. The problem continued every time we turned the fan on for long periods of time so we simply stopped using this function of our unit. After three months it did the same thing but this time when the fan was on auto. We decided to get a second opinion since Brown’s technician was suggesting replacing the whole furnace. Upon calling a different company, we found that the control panel that Brown’s had installed was visibly fried after only 3 months of use (that was the burning smell). After replacing it again all of the problems with the fan were resolved and we can now use our unit the way we did before Brown’s came out.
According to the technician who fixed Brown's mistake (who also has been servicing our unit for a few years) the control panel wiring was done improperly. Also a 5 amp breaker was used when it should have been a 3 amp, a pressure switch was left dangling, and screws were left in the door tract that cause a corner of the door to be bent when closing.
Seems pretty straight forward, a part was installed improperly, failed after three months, the part was replaced AND wired properly, the problem was resolved. I called Brown’s to discuss a refund and emailed them pictures of the improperly wired control panel both installed and after which clearly show the burnt parts. After trying to give me the run around, asking me why I didn’t call them back to replace my furnace (as if that was ever the problem) they lied to me and told me that the control panel only had a one month warranty and refused to give me the refund. I called the manufacturer and confirmed my suspicion that the part actually had a one year warranty after installation. Now if the part were the problem then it should be no issue for Brown’s to use the manufacturers warranty to get their money back. I suspect that they don’t want to go this route since the part is so obviously not the problem, nor is my unit since it is running perfectly now. That leaves only one factor, the installation.
