    I called Atlas in a panic on a Saturday a little before 1:00, and they had someone out at my house by 2:00. Their technician (Kyle A.) was AMAZING! Not only did he take apart the old washing machine and take it to the curb for me, but he also had to switch the placement of the dryer and washer in my laundry area. He was kind enough to run to Home Depot and get the parts for the longer dryer vent hose and install it since I am about the least handy person when it comes to this stuff. After all that, he installed my new washer and made sure it was all working before he left. I am truly impressed with their promptness, knowledge, and willingness to go above and beyond. Worth every penny!

They couldn't repair our furnace due to it being over 40 years old and sent out someone to give an estimate within a couple of hours, even though it would be after business hours. The person doing the estimate showed up on time and worked openly with us on options and price and seemed to really be trying to find us the best solution rather than selling the top options. He was extremely professional and friendly and found an option that would work for us and replace both our furnace and central air, that hasn't worked for years, that was below our budget. He scheduled the installation for the next morning. The installation crew showed up exactly when they said they would, where top tier, installed the furnace and air conditioning unit, and cleaned up perfectly. The entire experience was fantastic, professional, friendly, and their focus was on helping us solve the problem with the best option for our needs rather than up selling and maximizing their profits, and their pricing was competitive to other options I researched in the area, and they could do it immediately instead of waiting for a week or more with no heat. They took us from a repair call to an unexpected full installation in less than 24 hours and handled everything they could to make it easy and low stress. This was the best experience I have had with a contracting/repair service. They where open and honest about everything, did exactly what they said they would when they said they would do it, responded to every inquiry immediately, and seemed to take great pride in their service and work. After this experience they will be the only company I will use for HVAC needs as long as I live in their service area.

He took the time to discuss our options, and addresses any concerns. The service crew, came to work. They removed everything from the house and cleaned up when finished. Their lead tech is good. Explained how the system worked, the controls, the maintenance. All around a pleasure to work with. My new system works great! The air feels great, the humidity and dust control were two options Ive wanted for a while.

He told my wife that the furnace was showing error 42 (fault with the inducer motor essentially), and because our unit is old he recommended that we replace the furnace. I told them that I could replace that myself and he told my wife everything else was functioning. I assumed the furnace was still functional since I had just run it earlier that morning before he arrived.
    I found that evening that the furnace was not functional. I found a used inducer blower unit online for about $260 and just replaced it today.
    Upon a close inspection of the unit I removed, I found CLEAR evidence that a tool had been inserted through the cooling hole on the motor housing and dug into the circuit board. There are clear marks and damaged components on the circuit board and a clear mark on the plastic cover. There is no reason a tool would ever be inserted in that location. With my electrical engineering and technical background, I have some home automation tools already logging my furnace, and I show clearly that the furnace was functioning normally before the technician was in our house. In my opinion, this unit was intentionally damaged to justify recommending a replacement furnace. I see no other reason anyone would insert a tool and pry on the PCB.
    I have no idea if technicians are given any sort of incentive to sell new furnaces, but I am very disappointed. Someone with less technical skill would have spent thousands of dollars on a new furnace. A new replacement blower unit with installation would easily cost over $1000. I'm out about $260 and a few hours of time, but I'm very disappointed.
    I've attached pictures of the damage to the PCB and the marks in the housing from the tool insertion.

We had a number of places come out for estimates and Fire and Ice was the only one who actually went around and measured our windows and home and determined we should get a smaller furnace than what was installed before, saving us money both up front and on efficiency down the road.

    We were also impressed at the quality of the installation itself, as our old setup was clearly done without much care or thought. Fire and Ice took the time to move pipes and such that were just hanging from my ceiling before, move the humidifier to the proper side of the furnace, move over the ductwork that was not put in a good location, raise our electrical box outside away from the ground, and all kinds of little things to make sure our system runs right for a long time. It's been a few months and our setup runs perfectly. You get what you pay for, and I'm glad we paid for Fire and Ice!

    We experienced a flawless, informative process from sales to installation. Bryan, our sales pro, performed a detailed anaysis of our home's size, construction & features to develop an evaluation of our HVAC needs to offer the optimum sized equipment and has returned several times since the installation to insure it's proper functioning and our understanding of the entire system. The installation was performed within 3 days of our agreement – with the crew (Jon, Daniqua & Colby) getting the old system removed (furnace & A/C) and the new system installed in a matter of hours – they even modified ductwork and rerouted some lines originally installed by our builder to increase efficiency and give the system a cleaner appearance. Another great surprise was their tenacity with the cleanup – all their work areas were left totally spotless!!! Overall the best contractor performance we have experienced in 35 years of home ownership including having 2 homes built by the area's most reputable developers. The system runs great, is quiet and can now be operated through my phone from anywhere – even if just to insure it's running while at my winter haven.

    Today, May 2nd I had Rick and Willie come out and install a new AC and Furnace unit. They happily moved the location of my AC unit outside as requested, and truly went above and beyond. Everything they did is incredibly nice, organized, and a vast improvement over the previous heating and cooling system. They even moved components for our humidifier to where it should have been in the first place for it to properly detect humidity, which was something I didn't realize! They were also personable and friendly and I couldn't be happier with the great work they've done.

  • Tessa Cooper rated it 2/5: Called Buckeye Heating and Cooling after my AC stopped working. They determined I needed a new unit, and since mine was from 1998 we expected that news. It took a week before a salesperson could come out and discuss our options for a new unit. We had to then pick a new unit before we could schedule an install appointment, which we did within 15 minutes following the end of our appointment, but the salesperson didn’t respond to our selection for two days to book our installation. We had been told that we would receive a call same day as making our selection. We reached out twice on our own to contact our salesperson as well, with no luck. By the time we were able to schedule an install appointment, the soonest was two weeks out. When it finally came, the techs were in our home only about 15 minutes before realizing that the new coil for the unit we were sold would not fit, and we either needed to pick a different unit or replace our furnace which was 8 years old and in perfect working order. So then the sales guy came back out, took a bunch of measurements and told us the only possible way to replace the AC was to also replace the furnace (which he somehow didn’t identify the first time when he took a bunch of measurements), which was also a completely different story than what the techs had told us. When I asked about some of the options the techs had presented, the salesperson stopped responding to me, and we got a letter in the mail a week later that he was requiring the city of Columbus to inspect our hvac system before proceeding. I called another company at that point, they were able to accurately identify which AC unit was appropriate for our house, and installed on the first try without issue and had no concern whatsoever about the needs for an inspection. Really seemed like we weren’t worth the effort once we decided not to replace the furnace, and were mislead about it being necessary, as evidenced by another reputable company completing the work quickly and easily. Maybe if you have a standard suburban house then buckeye heating and cooling would do an adequate job, but if you live in an older home, I would absolutely not recommend them.

We've had issues with it for a year plus now and wanted some options on whether we should repair or replace. The receptionist was very friendly and explained options and we went with just getting an estimate and options which was free. Mitch came out and gave us 3 options and was honest and up front. We even asked if he recommended a total system replacement given the age. He said he would not at this time given what he could see. My fiance and I talked it over and came up with a few questions. We called KMA back and they had Mitch call me and answer all my questions. We decided to go with one of the options he presented and they had Mitch back here the same morning we approved the estimate. He was a Godsend coming today in this weather. Through all of this Mitch was honest and friendly. The staff answering the phone was also very friendly, much more so than I've ever dealt with at any other service company. I recommend these guys for your HVAC needs for sure!

Friendly, knowledgeable, professional- everything you want your electrician to be. He answered several questions for us and explained everything in detail. We really appreciated his help and experience. He & his partner (Michael) showed up when promised the next day & worked until about 10pm to ensure they were able to get power back on to the house including our heat. I can’t explain how thankful I am and how GREAT the work was. We’ve had KMA do several jobs/home improvement projects for us over the past few years and are always happy with their work. Knowing they’re there in case of emergency & for very large jobs too gives me peace of mind knowing my family is safe and we have a reliable company we can trust. Highly recommend!! Thank you Todd! Right away I had a friendly and informative conversation with the woman who answered the phone and she made me an appointment quick and easy. The technician Jonathan came by and was quickly able to find my issue and give me multiple options to fix it. Jonathan was very polite and knowledgeable. He also recommended my panel be replaced as it was around 30-60 years old. This being a costly repair he took some time to put together a lot of options that were reasonably priced and he was not pushy with his pitch at all. I was not able to get the panel at this time having so many other projects going with the new home but I had a great experience with this business and will recommend them to everyone.

We called to place a service request and Justin came out to perform the work. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. You get alerted when your service tech is on their way – a photo so you know who will be knocking on your door. They provide a window during which you can expect the tech to arrive and communicate when there is any deviation. The techs are always courteous and respectful of your house – wearing booties to cover their shoes, for example. When the service is completed, you'll receive a thorough explanation of the work done and the incoming invoice. No surprises which I appreciate. Charles has been working with us for a while now and it's nice to have continuity and familiarity with our furnace issues.

    I've been in the hospital all week and returned to no heat and freezing temps. I spoke to a very nice lady on Thursday 11/17 and she tried her best to get me on the schedule given my circumstance. A tech was supposed to come here yesterday (Friday 11/18) between 2-6pm. Nothing. No call, no show. At this point it's too late to call anywhere else without getting charged extra. I left a message with the answering service to be passed on. It is now 11:15am Saturday and no one has called me. I tried calling, but it just rings. I can't afford weekend rates somewhere else, so I will just continue to freeze. The customer service from the woman was exceptional, but the rest was a huge let down as a first time customer. It's better I know now that they didn't take accountability for missing my time block or the fact I'm disabled and freezing and now stuck until Monday to find a place.

They diagnosed the problem on the first visit and were able to narrow the cause to two parts that they were then able to acquire under the original manufacturer's warrantee. They got the parts quickly and came out and efficiently implemented the repair. Furnace has been operating well since.

He took the time to provide details on my furnace so I could understand the problem. (yes, it is summer & they still have techs available to help with a heating issue – that was a plus). It was appreciated that in addition to getting knowledgeable help, I was assisted by a very considerate technician.

    Update: Stevenson Service Techs Shane and Cal installed the new furnace yesterday. What a nice experience. I have an older home so the work area was small but they got it done timely and did a through cleanup after. They took the time to walk through things like the new filter and how to use the thermostat. If the furnace, is the same quality as techs Cal and Shane, it will be a good one.
