Found the problems and explained it in detail where I could understand. He was very professional and good at his job! He fixed what he could but we needed new units.
    Michael was great at helping us decide which u it’s would fit our needs. Very knowledgeable and helpful.
    Then Dustin and his crew came early in the Morning and worked hard and quickly at getting all 4 new units installed! We have been impressed from start to finish with this company. Anyone they’ve sent out has been kind and professional. Definitely would recommend Dukes of Air!

What made it great was when my HVAC went down, I called to schedule a new install appointment and since install was a few weeks out, the rep scheduled a technician same day for a temporary fix and it was greatly appreciated. Helped us get by the brutal heat.

    The new install team was solid. They were on time and ran an efficient install operation. Job was completed in about 6 hours. Only feedback I have is it would have been a better outcome if they spent time in checking/adjusting the air flow at each vent to ensure optimal performance. It was put on me to follow up and schedule an appointment with someone else.

    Marcos was assigned to fix the air flow issues. He was great.

We just moved into our new house a couple of months ago, and have been having issues with our thermostat and air ever since. I called Dukes on Thursday and they got me on the schedule for Friday afternoon (yesterday). Our technician was Kalem, and he was fantastic. He showed up and asked me what was going on, and immediately went to the attic to check it out. Within 5 minutes he was back down with a picture showing me what the issue was, and after I told him we would move forward with the repairs, he was back up in the attic fixing it for us. Though it was a small and simple fix, he was still thorough and made sure to explain it all to me after the fact, and even provided recommendations and got us on a maintenance plan for the future. Now, I am a little biased because I used to work for another one of the competitor AC companies. However, these guys are great at what they do, and are made sure all of my questions and concerns were taken care of before he left. They also were not pushy, and didn’t try to get us to do work or sign up for things that weren’t necessary (like I know most other companies do). Five star review all around, we will definitely be using them again for any issues we may have. Thank you Dukes of Air!

The air cleaner installed created a lot of static so we exchanged it for the LED one for another $200. I wish I knew ahead of time, but you live and learn. Warranty service on a small plastic part was needed this summer, but they were able to get out the same day. The Trane XR 17 is a great at both heating and cooling. The team is helpful, informative, and friendly w dogs.

When it came time for it to be installed there was a problem that the Model I purchased is no longer being made. They called me and explained my options and I agreed with their recommendation and they immediately sent Mike out to install it. I was not home but my husband said our installer Mike was prompt, courteous, efficient and worked hard to complete the job.

What a thorough job he did on both units! First time in 10 years I felt I received excellent service on both ac and heating. This was their first visit in my home. Saul also tightened my thermostat on the hall wall. He offered!!! I was told thermostat would have to be replaced because there was no way to tightened one that old. 20 years and thermostat works perfectly. I need to have some work done such as cleaning my air ducts! Will most assuredly call John's A/C and heating! Plus request for Saul! So refreshing to work with professional honest local company. They gave us different options for air conditioners and different ways to pay. Estimate was exactly what I paid for. Once I scheduled the service (that same week!) the crew was on time, professional, and worked swiftly! Even when there was a small bump in the road that extended the time it took to install, they worked on making sure I was comfortable and kept me updated all the way through.   • Duncan Glendinning rated it 5/5: In the spring of 2022, we decided that the time had finally arrived for us to replace our two A/C / gas furnace units in our house which was purchased new in 1996. One of the A/C units had a very slow leak, requiring an ever cost increasing annual freon recharge.

    After completing preliminary research, I decided to seek quotes from refrigeration companies which offered Trane products, due to their apparent reputation, and as a consequence of my brother-in-law’s brother being a Trane installer.

    We whittled our quote list down to two local businesses – both of which seemed to have good reviews. Each business came and gave us a quote, and was the start of the deciding factor leading us to select John's Refrigeration.

    Mike Rowland, a comfort consultant, arrived and explained to us that prior to working for John's Refrigeration, he was an independent energy consultant, providing residential consultation and construction services, including third party energy assessments for SRP and APS customers. We explained to Mike issues we were having with our existing A/C system, as well as cooling problems we were having since first occupying our house in 1996. Mike took measurements, analyzed our heating and cooling needs, and proposed a solution. His comprehensive analysis indicated that our existing 4 ton downstairs A/C should ideally be a 4.5 ton unit and thus recommended a 5 ton unit, and that replacing our upstairs unit with a similar 3 ton unit would be appropriate. Mike then provided good (single speed air handler / single speed compressor) / better (two speed air handler / two speed compressor) / best (variable speed air handler / variable speed compressor) proposals.

    The other refrigeration business representative came and provided an assessment largely based on what we already had (4 ton downstairs / 3 ton upstairs), without any obvious analysis. When quizzed about replacing the ground level A/C with a 5 ton unit, the explanation was not analytic enough for me. In addition, unlike John's Refrigeration, this company was not sure that the units I thought we would select would be available any time soon.

    So as a result of Mike's pre-sales analysis, fit, and product availability, we chose to move forward with his the "better" proposal. Mike confirmed that the units that we wanted were in stock and arranged for installation to begin a week later.

    Installation day was whirlwind. A swarm of 7-8 people showed up at about 8am and started to work removing the old systems. In what seemed like no time, one team removed the old air handlers and compressors while another started assembling the new units. Soon the new compressors were installed and the new air handler installations underway. Included in the install was assurance that duct work would be adjusted to remove bends, to ensure we would have better airflow to a front room which was always a problem to cool. By about 4pm, the install work was finished, and configuration and testing underway. We have Z-Wave thermostats which I was quite sure could be used with the new system, and the install team was very accommodating in connecting.

    I was pleasantly surprised at how much cooler our house now is, the fact the A/C units no longer run non-stop throughout the day, and the reduced energy consumption we now have. Specifically, our June / July / August 2021 on-peak (3186KW) / off-peak (10661KW) consumption has been significantly reduced to on-peak (1610KW) / off-peak (7366KW) for the same months in 2022 – approximately a 35% energy consumption reduction and a corresponding 37% financial savings :-).

    We are very happy with the pre-sales, installation and post-sales support from Mike and the John's Refrigeration team, and wouldn't hesitate them to recommend them to anyone looking for Trane equipment in particular and refrigeration services in general.

Derek came to my home and made the experience extremely easy. Everybody I’ve come into contact with has been super professional and very helpful. I highly recommend this company if you need your AC repaired or replaced. I had to say goodbye to my old Trane unit. She lasted over 20 years and that’s her on the crane. I replaced her with a brand new Trane unit hopefully I’ll get another 20 years out of her.

We received four bids and Isley’s was one of the fairest of the bids. Sarah was patient with my many questions before scheduling and during the project. Keith was amazing as the head plumber; patience of a saint. Our house had many challenges due to the architecture, and the project went longer than estimated, but they were persistent to do a good and complete job. In the end we are happy with the work and recommend this company.

We have lived in this house for more than 4 years and our courtyard fireplace had never worked. It is going to be so nice to sit outside on chilly nights with family and friends. Southwest Has only had three companies that they recommended. This was the only one that would come to Arizona City. I was quoted a price for travel and that included 30 minutes diagnostic time. Not only did he take care of the problem, but no extra charges!!

That’s the good the bad thing was he charged me 337.50$ for a 14$ part, not good?? Love you guys for helping my family in need, however would not recommend your company to others due to Extreme price gouging.

Olivia was very helpful getting an appointment scheduled with the technician Steve. He arrived on time and asked what was happening with the unit. I explained that another company had come out and said that I needed a new blower motor. Steve checked the thermostat and confirmed what I already knew, that the unit wasn’t working. He did not go up on the roof or check the unit in any way, he did not give me a price quote. He did use my bathroom and then told me that if the other company was recommending replacing the blower motor then I I should do that. Don’t use this company as it was a waste of the $60 trip charge. I called Olivia at the office to share the disappointment at my experience with the company and never heard back..

There was regular and useful communication from the dispatchers and the repair guys by phone and text, and there was always a helpful voice answering the phone when you called the main number.

The blower motor was under warranty so parts were covered by Carrier and the cost of two visits with a proper diagnosis and install was 800. Jason spent extra timing double-checking the diagnostics and and Rolando and Alec took extra time to adjust the condensation pan and blow out the line. All the guys took pride in their work, made useful recommendations, and took time to explain things (which even including on-the-job video from Rolando). I would definitely call Western States for future HVAC needs.

The price was fair, Carrier is a good unit and the installers were nice. The entire time we had them service our unit annually with the exception of 1 year we had another licensed company perform the service. At our service I asked about the fan which had a little oil leak so I asked about the warranty. He said we would need to maintain annual service or the warranty would be void (over the barrel I think) he also said they could sell us a maintenance package for 700+ for 6 months. We declined at the moment and decided to call Carrier and see how the warranty works. Come to find out Western States never registered the unit like they said they would and we now we do not have a warranty (would have had 5 more years left). We also repeatedly had to chase them down for months to get them to respond and send the rebate. So my advice is register the unit yourself and don't fall for any frills or hard sells. The acid wash of the coils is 350 dollars without the maintenance package. The acid, $28.00 on-line and they rinse it off. What a racket!

Very recently there was a concern, but not an issue, about drainage in the attic, and he took care of it right away in a single phone call, even though he didn't have to, not a small job. This review is done willingly due to competitive pricing with superb customer service, responsiveness and honesty.

It only took a few minutes for the technician, Elijah, to figure out that the unit had gone into defrost mode, which is what it's supposed to do if frost/ice starts to build up on the coil in the unit
    . The unit was heating just fine when we tested it while he was here. Elijah was very polite and professional. I hope Aire Serv knows they got a good tech. I hope they treat him good. It would be foolish to lose a guy like that. Thanks Elijah.
