Texasgurl Lesley rated it 4/5: Organized and for the most part clean. Coin machines worked washer and dryer have credit card option available. I did get extremely sick the next flu/cold maybe better disinfectant job. Does say wear mask on door. Don’t know if was a coincidence but haven’t been anywhere in weeks been home vacation. Did allow homeless to sit in store without using machines. Dryers were extremely hot and only .25 variety or different load size machines. Affordable

  • aaron martinez rated it 3/5: For the most part the employees are always nice and helpful……. Would have gave a 5 star review how ever a lot of washing machines do not work which is a inconvenience for a busy location! Also restrooms are not cleaned bad smells no soap dispenser for soap to wash your hands after using restrooms many homeless inside and out of facility and restrooms…. Other then that don’t think I’ve had a bad experience over the years I’ve been coming to this location would be better if most of the washers worked! SHOUT OUT TO THE HARD WORKING STAFF IN THIS LOCATION!
  • Yerika Perez rated it 1/5: This was not a fake review. Good luck with reporting my review with pictures being that I am a high level local guide.
Clean your machines, fix your washers, and AC.

DIRTY MACHINES, DIRTY FLOORS, DIRTY PEOPLE.
PLACE IS EXPENSIVE AND AC DID NOT WORK, EVENTHOUGH RHE OUTSIDE TEMP WAS ONLY 80 DEGREES.
THERE ARE FLIES AND BUGS EVERYWHERE.

  • joe nich rated it 1/5: I have been here in the past and usually avoid it. Though the facility is usually clean and the staff friendly and helpful, there are to many people begging or hanging out. The machines are expensive compared to other places and usually have too little water. None of the single load washers are currently working as of 3 days ago. I also had a problem with getting a cart to unload my washer and had to wait for the employee o find me one. Some folks are commandeering the carts as if they are their own personal cart and that causes problems. Also employees are hard to find, they don't have any clothing that tells you they work there. I also was threatened by a woman that refused to take her personal bags out of the cart and let someone else use it. The employee witnessed the threatening and didn't say a word to her but just stood around. They need to solve the cart hoarding problem before someone gets hurt.

Washatopia Laundromat is a reliable and affordable laundromat located in Austin, Texas. The majority of reviewers said that the staff is friendly and helpful, and that the laundromat is always clean. Cheryl M rated it 5/5: We give a 5-star review thanks to the attendant, Laura!! She knows the machines and how to use them, or in our case, how not to use them. Laura was so helpful and patient from the start, first showing us how to use our credit card to purchase a wash card. It's actually very easy and far preferable to using quarters!

We thought we needed the largest machine to wash a fluffy comforter. When the machine did not seem to be working properly, Laura explained that an 85-pound machine was not designed to wash a10-pound comforter. She stopped her work to help us consolidate all of our items into one washer, which meant force quitting our other washer. She saved us money and time! I can't say enough about Laura's helpfulness and kind demeanor. Just can't say enough.

About the laundromat. We went to one place closer to our home near Northwest Hills that had good reviews but it smelled so strongly of cleaning antiseptic that just stepping inside turned my stomach. We decided to drive the 7-8 miles to Washatopia, given the many positive reviews and card pay option. It's nice not to have to handle dirty quarters. The space is large with plenty of availability at 3pm on a Monday. There are enough washers of all sizes. The space is clean and we had our choice of seats and folding areas.

  • Dawn Comford-Wilcox rated it 5/5: Friendly attendants. Can purchase dryer sheets and detergent… Great bc I forgot mine! Great number of machines even on a busy Saturday! Commercial size dryers big enough to do my comforters! Can even use wifi while I wait! And extremely cool on hot Austin days!
  • ESG 360 rated it 5/5: Most self-serve laundry establishments I have been to over the years are, might I say, a bit dirty or even nasty places that I would not want to wash my clothes in. But Washatopia here in North Austin on Anderson Mill Road is an exception. The equipment is clean and in good operating condition, the facility is staffed, there are plenty of machines available, and vending machines for soap and supplies are stocked. If you need a place to do your regualr laundry, or big stuff like blankets (that's what I do) try out Washatopia. I can recommend it above all others I have tried in this area.
  • Robby Vogel rated it 5/5: This place is great. Laura is super friendly and helpful. The facility is very clean as well as the machines (Speed Queen). This is a great alternative when our washing machine went kaput. Would highly recommend.

  • nattie tude rated it 5/5: Mack was super helpful. I will be making this my new laundromat based on his hospitality alone. The facility was spotless, the machines were all new and easy to use, prices were reasonable, you can use quarters, a laundry card, or your credit/debit card, and it is usually open 24 hours (but call ahead late night). The giant dryer was super quick, it took lees than one cycle to dry everything (60lbs of clothes), and didn’t overheat or damage anything!
  • Dee Shed rated it 5/5: Great staff. The machines usually all work, unlike other laundry places in North Austin. And I especially like that they are 24 hours. 🥰 U can go after midnight and there is only a few people there so u have several machines to choose from.
  • Nickholas Bailey rated it 4/5: *** Update 8/8/22***
They've done a pretty big upgrade on the equipment, so the machines are much better and it looks a lot nicer. All the machines take cards so it's hassle free.

If you ain't used to fighting in the TRENCHES, this ain't the place for you. It's ALWAYS packed. 8am? Packed. 4pm? Packed. 2am? Packed lol. Add to that, half the machines are out of order, so you're really gonna have to be assertive in getting in and attentive in getting out.

Great staff most days though. And many of the machines accept cards which is HUGE! But yea, it's hella busy. And yes, people will make their own parking spot behind you (see photo) – good luck finding who it is if you don't speak Spanish 😅

  • Natalie Navarro rated it 1/5: Customer service is horrible!!!! I asked for change for a 5$ bill(3 one dollar bills and 2 dollars in quarters) and was told by the worker (the Hispanic lady with the blonde hair and jacked up teeth) that she could not give me change because her change is for customers buying products….. am I not a customer? and I was going to buy some bounce dryer sheets from the machine which only cost $1.50. I did NOT need 5$ in quarters for dryer sheets that only cost$1.50! But she rather me get my whole 5$ bill in quarters, I guess that makes her job easier!! Of course. And she stated I should be “prepared” when coming to wash clothes…..if this is a business, and I bring MONEY to use the service, how is that being unprepared?? I hope she was prepared to get cursed out and embarrassed!! Then she said she didn’t give me change because “how I came at her”. First of all, I was ignored and walked off on at the service counter!! I still waited patiently until she was ready to help me and was still polite when I asked for change(again, to use their dispenser machine). I guess she didn’t like that another customer waved her down to let her know I was waiting…. I should have cursed her out in the beginning, cause that’s exactly what she got after she started TRYING to talk to me crazy!!! And to top it off… first she threatened to call the police on me and when I told her to go ahead… then she did! And of course they didn’t come!!!! How ridiculous, she called to police on me after she was the aggressor but then got cursed out and embarrassed cause she didn’t know that she was trying the wrong one today!!!! I’m still waiting on the police to get here while my client’s clothes are still drying in the dryer!

Rachel G rated it 5/5: Was able to get all the clothes I needed before a long trip washed and folded in two hours, took a lot off stress off of me. Great staff and services

Most relevant reviews:

  • Sean Keenan rated it 5/5: I liked that I could use my debit card for the machines instead of coins since I never carry cash. There was a staff member on site who helped me decide which washer to put my queen comforter in which was helpful. I paid $3.25 for the wash & $1.75 to dry. There are other bigger or smaller washers available as well. The place was clean, but busy.
  • Andie Price rated it 5/5: September 2020– mask are required. Best laundromat I’ve been to all across the US. Some dryers had issues closing so pick wisely. The attendants were friendly and kind. When the change machine wasn’t working they promptly gave you change. Bathroom was clean and the whole place was clean overall. Decent prices for the dryers. Not sure on the washers. I used this location 2 days in a row. I was there pretty early and they seemed to get busier as the morning went on so I suppose they are a busy location.
  • Rachel G rated it 5/5: Was able to get all the clothes I needed before a long trip washed and folded in two hours, took a lot off stress off of me. Great staff and services
  • John Miller rated it 4/5: When laundry becomes overwhelming, SpinZone wash and fold service restores my sanity.

I was originally skeptical. It's in a larger set of interconnected parking lots for multiple businesses, and tends to attract a colorful set of people hanging out in the parking lot. However, I've never been harassing (or even been acknowledged by) any of these folks, so I now just don't pay it any mind. The place is clean.

The staff is super-helpful and friendly. I request wash/fold with button items on hangers. I request things be washed only in cold water. All of my clothes are folded and bagged nicely and neatly. At other places, I've had items folded and bagged in a way that wrinkles the clothes – here, they know how to bag things so this doesn't happen. The service is fast/timely. The price is quite fair.

I use them frequently, and have no hesitation recommending them to others.

  • ZsaszJazz rated it 4/5: It does the job well, not a lot of staff when i went and some broken machines. Even so, there was more than enough availability for me to get my laundry done in a quick and tidy manner

e c rated it 5/5: Chill place to do a laundry!

Since the laundry room at my apartment is remodeling since the winter storm, I was forced to find the laundry service. I found out this place has been around for 2 weeks and is 5 minutes away from my home!

The manager Mark greeted me and gave me perks, including a coin bag and a laundry bag! He also showed me how to use the machines (small or large amount). What really cool about this place is that it offers a free dryer once I’m done with washing machine! This offer lasts until the end of May so you better take advantage of it!

Overall, I like the manager’s friendly service and plan to comeback again.

Most relevant reviews:

  • Clay Fife rated it 5/5: “Clean” does not do Justice to how thoroughly spotless this facility is. The machines are modern and high tech (no coins needed) and speedy. You can be in and out in 60 minutes thanks to the efficiency of the equipment. And the owner was there and extremely friendly. Laundry day was almost fun here!
  • Carlos Magaña Olán rated it 5/5: I remember seeing this laundromat months ago when I just moved to a nearby neighborhood, but it wasn’t until today that I finally gave it a try, and man oh man, what an amazing experience

Clean and nice looking facilities, new and fast modern machines, vending machines, clean restrooms and free WiFi

But the best part for me was the cashless option through the DexterPay app, you just just select the machine number, it doesn’t matter if it’s a washer or dryer, and you can even select the water temperature from the app, you approve the payment, and voila!

The app even lets you know how much time left for your washing/drying cycle, and you can even add extra time

    Without a doubt a pleasant experience 💯

  • Adam Rahman rated it 5/5: Very clean and reasonably priced laundry with both self serve and full service options. Friendly employees.
  • Asbin Dahal rated it 5/5: As the name speaks, the laundry is clean around with new machines. Plenty of dryers and huge washers as well for big loads. Less crowd if you go in the afternoons. The washers are a little expensive compared to other laundromats but overall it is okay.

Rae Nicole rated it 1/5: I give this establishment a one star. That’s only because the lady that was working tonight was very disrespectful. She saw me putting my clothes in the dryer 30 mins prior to closing. Said nothing up until my clothes were drying almost halfway through. She could’ve said something before I put my money into the machine to dry my clothes but did she? Of course not! I was not about to leave with wet clothes that I already paid to dry. It’s wasn’t okay to have an attitude and be disrespectful to me PERIOD! If I pay for a service I will be serviced until the end. Otherwise refund me my money and I will be on my way out. Since she wanted to wait to say something halfway through my drying time I waited up until i had a min left. I’m a very nice person but she did not deserve my kindness. Treat folks how you want to be treated parents teach you that growing up well should’ve. Obviously they skipped that with her. Common sense You don’t get paid for services cut short period. This was something small, could’ve been handled differently. If a individual cannot handle conflict that person needs not to be in the service industry! That was immaturity and extremely unprofessional! That behavior needs to be corrected immediately! This is an example of HORRIBLE Business! Rule number one never let your feelings get in the way of providing quality service! I’m disappointed.

  • M Cano rated it 4/5: It's clean and big. I left two pairs of jeans here a few weeks ago, and no one turned them in. How is someone just going to take pants?
  • V B rated it 1/5: The laundromat is dirty. The machines are overpriced and don’t wash clothes well. I used a $12.50 machine which didn’t wash my clothes entirely. They were covered in soap powder. When I altered a staff member, she stated that I was at fault because I probably overpacked the machine. I had less than 5 loads of clothes. The machine holds 10 loads. I spent $26 to wash.

They were super rude and it didn’t make sense. I figured they locked the doors at 9 with people inside based on how the hours are printed. I didn’t get to finish my dry and didn’t get a refund. I want my money back!

Clean Laundry is a laundry service located in Austin, TX. The company has a 5-star rating on Google, with customers praising the quality of the service and the convenience of the location. The company offers a variety of services, including laundry, dry cleaning, and alterations. Customers also appreciate the friendly and helpful staff.

Stephanie Marrero rated it 4/5: Cleanest laundromat I have ever seen. Very impressive.

BUT: Prices too high!
A two loader (but extremely tiny, barely enough for one load) is $3.25
A three loader is $4.25
A four loader is $5.50
A six loader is $7.75
A nine loader is $12

For any washer, you can add $1 extra for what they call "Super Wash" which gives you more wash time, a pre-wash, and a third rinse. The the prices for the dryers are a bit better; more in line with prices of the other laundromats in the area. $0.25 = 7 minutes.

Victoria was extremely helpful. She gave me a free laundry bag and coin purse. When I can't afford it, I will come back here.

Oh, yeah! And no mask required! Sweet!

I had the pleasure of meeting Mark last night, he was so friendly, helpful and definitely keeping this place clean. It's great to know there is a dependable laundromat in the area. Also their token machine takes debit/credit so saves a trip to the bank or remembering to ask for cash back at a store. Definitely going to be a recurring customer here. 🙂
  • Joshua Obas rated it 5/5: I'm hesitant to write this review because I know it will attract people here and it will get crowded, but I must. This establishment is wonderful. Upon entering I was greeted with cleanliness and wonderful smells. The employee was very friendly and helpful. 10/10 I'm coming back again and again.
  • Stacie Forbes rated it 5/5: I am currently sitting at this laundry mat washing clothes. I am not from this area, my boyfriend is working here and I drove up to see him and help him with his laundry. I found this place and seen a lot of good reviews on Yelp. I’m so glad I picked this one.
This place is so clean, the man helping people in there is so kind. The washers and dryers are in great condition and got the job done on the first try. I wish we had one of these in my town.
Also, I was skeptical about the app, but I did it anyways because it seemed cool. It was actually very easy to use and made the whole process easier.

Sweet!

  • Jennifer Granados rated it 4/5: Really clean. Machines were available and lots of space to fold even on a busy Sunday afternoon. The machines washed and dried my clothes well with zero issues. They have folks on site to help customers which is nice:)

  • Jenna Rhodes rated it 5/5: i love this place. they have huge washers and dryers. there are two wonderful ladies that work there on Wednesday mornings and i absolutely adore them. this is the cleanest laundromat i’ve ever been to!
  • Ryland Bogart rated it 3/5: Place has lots of washer/dryer machines, plenty of availability. Change machines are also convenient and in working order. Wash times are pretty quick, and the place overall is a great spot. My one complaint is that the washers don’t appear to be cleaned regularly. I went around and picked a washer that looked the “cleanest” and some of my pics show the buildup inside of all of the machines. I visited about 30min after they opened so I know that the detergent buildup/mold that was in the seals of the washers was not something that built up throughout the day. It doesn’t look like they clean these regularly enough, if at all. Seems like an odd choice since wiping out that filth is a quick and simple thing to do to really improve the location. Wish I had that warning before I already went.
  • Priscilla rated it 1/5: I frequently use this laundromat because it’s convenient and reasonable but this place is going downhill. The staff is rude, not helpful, and very inexperienced with the app that the business switched over to. When asked a simple question on what to do when the machine isn’t working and you paid through the app, I was told “I don’t know anything about that app and don’t know what to tell you.” Totally unacceptable, as there were plenty options that could’ve been offered but wasn’t, especially when one load is $6 and I’ve already put product in the machine. Sucks that I will have to travel to another laundromat but will do so for experienced staff, working machines, and overall better experience!
  • Joe Altamirano Jr. rated it 1/5: This place has become a Dump it has more Washers Less folding Tables same dryers and more Money 💰 for doing your Landry. Place is usually Dirty guess New Owner wants you to use his Landry Service but as Dirty this Place is your clothes probably are Too !!! 🤷‍♂️

  • Henrietta Alouette rated it 5/5: The machines are clean and well maintained. I absolutely adore the staff because they are always so kind and helpful. Their wash and leave service is the best at less than a dollar a pound. Love love love this place! And did I mention how clean the machines are? No soap residue or slimy buildup and no mold either. Also… Very fairly priced machines, WAAAAAAAY less than spin zone.
  • Jai Hudson rated it 5/5: First of all they got a avocado tree which is awesome and the machines work like a single mother of two.
  • Carol Bellman rated it 4/5: First visit to a laundromat in 20 years. Most of the machines looked to be working and the staff was helpful and busy with their wash and fold service. My clothes got clean and dry fairly quickly. The floors could have used a good sweeping but otherwise, it was fine. I felt very comfortable because there were attendants on site.

  • Bruce Bruce rated it 1/5: Yes the staff is nice we’ll the ladies are. Bottom line is the Washer & Dryers are old. If the washer isn’t $4.50 and up they don’t work. The dryer doors open up while clothes are drying. It takes $1.75 too dry a load of white clothes. Owner doesn’t invest in the property. Dust in the ceiling fans that don’t work.

  • Emi S rated it 5/5: This is the best laundromat I’ve ever been to! Kind staff and the machines work really well, my stuff always comes out super clean. They have benches so you can sit down and wait (it’s a very calm environment) or you can leave and come back. They have change dispensers if you have cash, but if you’re paying with card they’ll give you quarters and add up your total at the end and charge your card. I only ever do self service but I see them working diligently on the drop off loads every time I come in. People always leave happy
  • John Allred rated it 5/5: Like many people in the Austin area, my partner and I have been shuffling around from apartments to Airbnbs until housing construction is completed. One major downside to that has been limited laundry facilities. The team at Michael A Laundromat has taken care of our laundry needs and are absolutely outstanding! I highly recommend their services to anyone interested in quality and top notch customer service! I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
  • Shane Strawbridge rated it 4/5: Pros:Clean for a laundromat, big machines, soap/etc available to purchase on site.
Cons: Took two cycles for a small load to dry.
  • TC 63 rated it 1/5: I believe that the reviews for this coin laundry are dated, as they do not match with my experience on Jan 30/23. I found the entire facility to be very dirty: all trash cans overflowing, machines streaked with spills and dust, and the linoleum floor filthy. For this reason, I cannot recommend this coin laundry.
