Diya Saigol rated it 1/5: I was very disappointed that my discount was not applied, as that is the reason I trekked all the way to dependable cleaners (it is not near my home). I received a 25% discount by email and specifically showed the email & asked to apply it when dropping off my clothes. The person said he’d applied the discount. When I picked up my clothes, I received no bill or final price, not even by email, and was told my card had been automatically charged (without telling me how much they’ve charged!!). I specifically asked for the bill and the person acted like that was strange (pretty sure it’s illegal to charge a card without a receipt, you should be providing it by default at least by email- I shouldn't have to ask!) and then sure enough once he printed the bill I discovered the discount was not properly applied- it was 20% instead of 25% off. I pulled up the email to show it was supposed to be 25% off, and the person was not even apologetic and refused to fix the issue- he just shrugged his shoulders, didn’t care at all (even though he was the one who made the mistake when I brought it in) and said he can’t change the charge. It shouldn’t be so hard to correct a wrong charge you made- you made a mistake and you should fix it! Now I wasn’t about to argue or make a big deal about a small amount, but it’s the principle of the matter. Not only did he refuse to fix his mistake, but he didn’t even apologize or care- at least take responsibility. He said they’d apply it next time- there won’t be a next time! You’ve lost a customer. I don’t do business with companies who hide charges, don’t provide receipts, and then don’t fix the charge when mistakes are made.

No entertainment for the customers (no tv, no music, no games) just complete silence. It’s dark and grey in there. The “ “guards”…I mean attendant was so rude, and emotionless I felt like it I did something wrong or asked a question I’d be kicked out. Not to mention how expensive they are. I never wanted to leave a place as quickly as I did when I was there. They lock the door at least 5-10 minutes before the 5pm last wash time. I’m happy that it’s a black owner business in our neighborhood but this place just sucks and the service is the worst!!…NEVER GOING BACK

Finally reach someone via text who tells me the driver is 8 stops away and will get their at 1pm. 5:30pm rolls around, still haven't gotten my clothes, still no one answering the phone (I called 5 times over the course of the day, not once did they answer). Finally, I got my laundry – but that is not the end of the story. I open it up to start putting it away and one of the straps on a dress had been ripped right off, un-repairable. Finally, the top half of my favorite bathing suit is nowhere to be found. And I received someone else's sports bra. I could seriously not have had a WORSE experience if I dreamt it.

But in the last 2 months they gave me a bunch of clothes that was not mine in two different occasion, and some of my items went missing. Their response was also unsatisfactory. Very stressful experience to have to do an inventory of clothes to figure out what items are missing. And be charged for items that weren’t mine. I can only imagine the frustration of the folks whose clothes got mixed with mine, when they realized their items were missing. I had a total of 10 clothing items that didn’t belong to me, and two of mine missing. I will ask for a full refund, return the items that are not mine and never come back here again.

On average a person uses 25-35 mins on dry at a laundromat. Which averages to around 7-9 dollars on the dry. $5.75 for a "triple load". Then to take out cash you'll most likely have to pay a fee and a fee from your bank. So altogether between wash, dry and the bank ATM fee. Your going to spend 18.00 on the lowest average cost to do 1 load of laundry. It's all deceiving tricks used to dry up any person coming in to do laundry. If your to use this place, only use their laundry service. Other then that, teets on a pole….. Useless.

I had a very large dry cleaning order (~250 items), and Bill patiently took each item one by one and even went out of his to way to get my ordered delivered to me outside of Boston. He genuinely cared about my order and wanted to help! I could not have expected better service. Thank you!

I had my maid-of-honor dress altered and had bra cups sewn in but they didn't come out exactly as I had wanted. I spoke with Bill and he went above and beyond (even offered to drive to my house and pick up the dress!) to make it right since the wedding was in just a few days. They re-adjusted the bra cups and stitched them in from the top which make the fit just perfect – I'm so happy with how the dress came out but even more satisfied with the superior level of customer service I received!
I would HIGHLY recommend Columbus cleaners (I've been to both the South End and Southie locations) for any alteration needs.

Fair price too. Their customer service is good, they even helped me carry my heavy bags to the car. I have tried many places before, but I am def sticking to this one!

Haven't used their drop-off services, but I've seen staff handle it and they're always professional and neat about it. I'd feel comfortable dropping my laundry off, if I ever needed to.

Benjamin Smith rated it 5/5: i'm like obsessed with this place. after paying $112 for 15 shirts to be dry cleaned elsewhere, they honestly do my work shirts just as good here in the machines. and it's so cheap! i've brought like 2 weeks of clothes, sheets, towels, etc & i've never spent over $35. loveee this place! i wish they spoke english but i mean welcome to east boston.

I recently brought in my cloth to get washed (drop off service) the people there are amazing their folding technique is so neat and organized I’ve never seen someone fold cloth in such an organized way! Not to mention the smell of the laundry detergent they used, it smells amazing!! Totally recommend!
