The exchange machines accept all bills up to and including $20s (when you insert a $20, it returned 3 $5s and $5 in quarters (big plus if you don't need that many quarters).
I highly suggest bringing your own detergent, softener, and dryer sheets. They are available in a vending machine but at a premium.

Decorated in red, black & white checkers it has a nice little theme & almost always has seating available. They offer laundry drop off and the last loads have to be in the washer by 11 which is a plus as well. I would advise going early in the mornings or later in the evenings to avoid rushes.

DS Cheney rated it 1/5: If you want clean clothes do NOT go to Laudroplex. They have old machines that don't work correctly. My boyfriend and I both took our laundry and used several machines. Everything thing came out of the washers soak and wet. If they worked correctly they should have been nearly dry. Then it took over $2.50 per load to dry. Back in the 90's it was my favorite laundromat now I wouldn't even think of ever going back. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same machines they had in the 90's.

Double loaders were $2.25. dryers on average take about $1. However if you have heavier things I would definitely add another .25 to .50 cents. Sitting out in the car, I noticed four drug dealer transactions. I was not involved I was sitting in my car observing. But I guess that's to be expected on Eastwood Trafficway. 🤷‍♀️ If you know, you know.

At the time it had some very rude employees and at the time the other consumers wasn't all that great neither. But I went about a week or so ago and from the looks of things it's gotten quite a bit better, so I'll continue to go every week and see how it goes

Used the 8 loader and paid $14.00 to wash because of the FREE DRY signage!!

Then was told by attendant that excludes TODAY. How convenient. But $14.00 for an 8 loader?
Josh Wheeler rated it 1/5: I knew this laundromat wasn't the best but the best one near the NE, in North KC, recently closed down and I needed to get laundry done. The laundromat was quite busy even though its machines are expensive even with the free drying. The free drying you have to sit and watch your machines to restart the ten minute cycle. You can put quarters in the dryers for more time but apparently at your own hazard. I tried to buy more time and the dryer only gave me one more minute. I asked the attendant if I could get my quarter back, and she started her reply with, "You're not supposed to do that so it's your fault and we don't have to do anything about it." If she had just said sorry no, that would have been one thing, but she instead blamed me for not being aware of a rule not posted anywhere. Never coming back here.

I didn't mention when Midtown Laundry opens because I was extremely surprised they closed! Midtown Laundry always seems to be open and ready to wash away your dusty blues, keep your colors colorful, and deliver your whites so bright you might think the Sun is shining at night! Always clean and tidy with a washer or dryer ready to serve, give Midtown Laundry a spin!

Only thing I'd change is the fact they took away they $1.50 small "quick" wash options after so many people utilizing those instead of the regular priced machines. They haven't ran specials since the first 3 years of operation, that also could draw customers back or help those who frequent this location.

Beyond the fact that the clothes are always perfectly done and folded, back so fast – their customer service has been superb! I have been happy every single week that they have picked up my laundry and dropped it off two days later. It takes such a weight off my shoulders in this busy life! What amazed me most was that they delivered today even with snow on the roads and below zero temperatures. To be clear, I 100% would’ve been OK if they did not deliver today. But I was absolutely blown away that they did! The drivers are always so kind and efficient!

As far as payment goes they have a kiosk which takes cards (wow!!) and then the traditional coin changer. There are metal baskets with wheels in two different styles. The place was super clean and had a few sitting areas with tables. I camped out while my laundry was going and for four big loads I only paid $20. Also there were duck videos playing on the TV, which was cool. Overall it's a quiet, calm atmosphere. This is my new favorite laundromat for sure!!

You have several was to pay for a washer and/or dryer! You can either pay the traditional way or you can pay by debit/credit card or you can use an app called Laundry Boss! The app was simple to use and extremely convenient!!! This will be my go to laundromat from here on!!

And this isn't applied to those loads that may be stuffed to the brim. The floors and areas could be wiped down a bit more frequently. The push for electronic pairing with the washers and dryers they an app is Ok but shouldn't prevent you from using some machines because of this added feature.

The other people not so pleasant one, chick throw away one of my bags of cloths and lied about. Had me all in my feeling so I had to pull up. Good thing something told me to check the dumpster and wala! My stuff! I just let it go, and remembered that I get what I paid for, them free dryers… ain't nothing free you gotta PAY attention.

Also, they do not use quarters. They give you a card that you add value to by inserting cash into a kiosk, then you just swipe that card at any machine of your choice. You don't have to deal with anyone either, the whole process is self serve.

Now, it is not a brand new sparkling clean facility, it is a neighborhood laundry, a few years old, but it's clean and polished and the machines all seem to be in working order, and I would think that it would be fine for you to do your laundry there since it's fine for me to do mine. That's just my opinion, and I'm hoping that's kind of what you're looking for.

Machines are expensive compared to other laundromats however the dryers are better than what you would expect from a laundromat, they dry quickly and thoroughly. This location doesn't take quarters, they have a card you load at a kiosk, which is fine unless you have a problem with the card not working, there's no way to prove that you loaded money onto it.
