  • ashtin broussard rated it 5/5: We were visiting New Orleans from lafayette and decided to extend our trip an extra day but all of our clothes were worn and dirty so once we decided to stay the extra day my search started for a laundry service that was open and would possibly offer delivery back to our hotel on MEMORIAL DAY. I was able to drop the clothes off (in the dirty laundry bags supplied by the hotel) around 1 o clock in the afternoon and had my clothes delivered back to me like this! I explained the situation to them and she completely understood and she worked with me to make sure I was extremely well taken care of! Super polite group of people and even made the effort to interact with my children! She even gave me a couple of laundry tips I was unaware of and assured me that she would take care of me! I can’t boast about this business more! Will definitely be a returning customer!
  • Cynthia Hawkins rated it 5/5: I am a retired NY senior, married to a Katrina 2005 survivor. We live in the French Quarter and the washer dryer in our apt? A tinker toy..So, I went in search of a laundromat that was close by and kept hearing about this great place, and the lady named Dinah who is The Laundry Queen. I was not disappointed. Dinah received us like old friends. She was cute, amiable and very on the case. She gave me a little tutorial on how to use the machines; then gave me change to do my clothes. The place was immaculate. Chatted with her, and met a woman visiting from Australia who needed a last minute wash for her clothes before packing and heading back Down Under. People walked in and out the whole time – it was just a very cool vibe. Don't miss this lovely little local place!! Highly recommend.
  • DAN KLEIN rated it 5/5: Safe, easy, and perfect location! Owner is on-site and manages all transactions, which is awesome. She’ll swap out cash for coins and even provides free detergent! Just as important, I felt confident I could leave my clothes there while exploring the jazz bars only 3 blocks away. Perfect situation!
  • Peter Girvan rated it 5/5: Had a last minute drop off. The host was super friendly and nice. She offered an amazing service and had options for environmentally protective cleaning products and those that won’t damage your clothes. Also offers a drop off service which is great when you don’t have time to get back and grab your washing from her direct. Clothes were clean and extremely well folded on arrival. Would definitely use on the next trip to NOLA.

CulturalShock rated it 1/5: Be very careful washing here…I washed her a week ago and is missing over 3 pairs of name brand pants..boxer briefs..and white socks..I always would wash here and sit in my car right in front of the door I guess you have to guard your belongings by standing in front of your machines now…another lady that works there if I’m not mistaken mentioned how someone stole her pajama bottoms…So if you wash here please be mindful of someone stealing your clothes a couple of ft away from you…I WILL NOT BE BACK!!

  • Caesar Alarcon rated it 4/5: Pleasant environment. The attendant was very helpful. Dryer and washing machines worked well. Antonia was marvelous.
  • Jimi Berry rated it 4/5: Reasonable price. Free wifi. Very quick and efficient washer and dryers. Really everything one would expect from a laundromat. They did have a mini library so plenty to read while waiting. No complaints.
  • Leslie Molson rated it 3/5: My dryer is on the fritz, so I came here.

It's very, very, very dark inside. I had to use my phone's torch to check for stray socks, but I suppose bright lighting probably wouldn't be a pleasant experience either.

Many washers and dryers do not work properly. Some have warning signs, some do not. Expect to pay about $20 for a two-person household.

Also no one cleans the detergent cups, which are caked with powdered detergent.

The dryers are free on Friday (as they were for Thanksgiving weekend). There are four covered parking spaces, as it's a refurbished gas station. Also they do buy back quarters, and the change machines take fives and tens as well as ones. There's also a snack machine.

They have seating outside and inside, though the seats inside look like old movie theater seats and are very very close together. I waited in my car.

  • — rated it 2/5: I paid for the laundry service to have some comforters cleaned and after I got them back and pulled them out they were all lumpy which indicates it was not dried properly. Fast service but at the cost of quality. Won't be back.

Fun In Funeral rated it 5/5: Best laundromat in the city. The staff here is so helpful and enjoyable to chat with. They keep the place spotless! First time in my life ive not completely dreaded having to do my laundry.

Most relevant reviews:

  • Donald Patterson rated it 5/5: This place is awesome thanks to the gentleman who was working. He greeted us upon entering and was very helpful with other people. The machines were all running to my knowledge. They have a couple of large dryers 👍👍👍. The gentleman thanked us and wished us a good day when we left. Parking was a little hard but we were able to get in front. I would give more ⭐ if possible. But definitely the best laundry to go to in Nawlins…
  • Anthea Mayeux rated it 5/5: This place is VERY people-oriented, accepting, helpful, and cleanly. I have had nothing but amazing experiences here. I look forward to continuing to use this place to do my laundry. I think everyone in the area should look into going here versus other laundromats. This is a great place to go where there's usually not too many people and the prices aren't insane. Carla was very helpful and very nice and have such a great personality. Last time I was here I dealt with Shane, and he has a great personality and is very kind as well. Got dirty laundry? Go to Kim's dirty laundry!
  • Fun In Funeral rated it 5/5: Best laundromat in the city. The staff here is so helpful and enjoyable to chat with. They keep the place spotless! First time in my life ive not completely dreaded having to do my laundry.
  • Margaret Cain rated it 5/5: Very nice owners, neighborhood feel, and a galaga/Pac-Man machine that plays for a quarter like the old days!
  • Anne Delatte rated it 4/5: Cleanish and not too expensive. Vending machine, change machine, and obligatory Pac-Man game all accounted for. Some seating, but not much. Would recommend headphones–the volume on the tv and the young girls playing in the place made for quite a bit of ambient noise.

Greer Odette Conerly rated it 5/5: The staff is nice. Mr. Melvin is very helpful always willing to assist you and greet you with a smile. The laundry equipment is in excellent condition, the place is always clean and tidy. I don't go to no other place to do laundry. In my opinion its better than any laundry facilities I've gone to in the greater New Orleans area. I can go on on on about how this place is.

  • nunya bizz rated it 5/5: Tried Laundromat zone again but at a different location.

Apparently they had some construction going on but so far it looked great!
The attendant on duty was very nice and helpful.
I couldn't find the restroom because it wasn't labeled just yet and picked up on that and showed me where it was.
A customer couldn't figure out how to use the thing where u add money to the car and she helped him with that.
I know that's her job but service nowadays honestly sucks but it's nice to see someone taking their job seriously.
My only complaint which is the same as the other location is that their folding tables were really small/short.
I had to put some clothes on top of nearby washers until I collected enough of them to stack similar items together.

Even though they had construction going on the place was definitely nice and clean.

Also there were plenty of functioning washers and dryers.

You wouldn't have to wait to use them or fight with other patrons so that's great!

Yes I would recommend this place and will be returning soon

  • Annette Cheramie rated it 5/5: The lady working was very helpful n very pleasant to have conversation.
  • Victor Paz rated it 5/5: Pleasant and enjoyable experience. The attendant was cleaning nonstop and everything was absolutely spotless. The machines are fast and there are many carts to transport your clothes. Well lit and with ample seating. Yes, price is steep. But this was because I had three separate loads, one for bedding, one for regular colors, and one for delicates. It ended up being about $30 total for wash and dry. I think if you just have one big load, then it would have probably been about half. It’s definitely pricey, but the convenience is worth it! Will most definitely return!
  • Sean Sullivan rated it 4/5: Nicely renovated laundromat with new equipment

Crawbabies LLC rated it 1/5: .99 a lb listed inside the business and in their website but it is significantly more. Was not informed about this until after hauling loads of clothes in. Don’t waste your time. False advertising.

Most relevant reviews:

  • Michael M rated it 5/5: This is the best place to do laundry and get a bite to eat. Melba's is right next door. And if you come after 10pm the dryers are no longer free
Well to update this review they no longer offer the free dryers as they use to. But since the hurricane they stopped the free dryers
  • Kyle Lowman rated it 4/5: Wayyyy better than everywhere else. The hours are reasonable for a laundry mat and they have a great food place and bar connected to the facility.

4/5 stars because theres only one bathroom and is usually occupied by some random person doing drugs but whatever but theres a porta potty in the corner of the parking lot is nasty >?

  • L A F Berry rated it 4/5: The machines are great and they work well. The laundromat is clean and the staff and patrons are friendly. Our hotel did not have laundry service due to renovations.

I loved the highlights of famous people from New Orleans, the art work and encouragement all over the walls. It is a nice touch, especially when doing laundry is not a glamorous task, yet it must be done.

I appreciate the technology and having cards to operate the machines, but I recommend a buy-back program. This would help your out-of-town guests get their $10 (or more) back instead of just throwing the card away or losing it or trying to remember to bring the card on the next visit to New Orleans.

I understand why this is not included in your policy and procedures today, but in the future, think about it especially for folks genuinely from out-of-town.

Luckily, I found a gentleman getting ready to wash his closes and he was happy to get my card.

I did not eat at Melba's, maybe next time.

  • Crawbabies LLC rated it 1/5: .99 a lb listed inside the business and in their website but it is significantly more. Was not informed about this until after hauling loads of clothes in. Don’t waste your time. False advertising.
  • Alex M Wallace rated it 1/5: Half of the driers are broken.

If the location is vaguely busy, the backup to use the driers, have carts, find parking etc becomes backed up. Everything becomes backed up. It's awful.

    Just fix your driers 🤷🏽‍♂️

Meanwhile Melbas is expanding to another location 🤯

    Fix this one first maybe.

The Washington Laundromat is a great place to wash your clothes. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the machines are clean and well-maintained. The prices are reasonable, and the laundromat is conveniently located. The only downside is that it can be quite crowded at times.

Tammie “Tabitha Vali” Guay rated it 5/5: This place is awesome. I do my laundry here regularly. With the exception of a few dryer sheets on the floor occasionally the place is very clean. The staff on hand lets you know they care and are always willing to help or answer questions if you have them. There are several sizes of washers so you can wash a huge load if needed and the dryers are huge as well, and it only takes 1 or 2 cycles to dry most loads.

Most relevant reviews:

  • Jonathan Chan rated it 5/5: I have been to a few laundromats mats in my life and I don't go often. I was in town to help out with relief and found myself there an extended time.

On top of that I was pretty busy during the day hours and traffic didn't help. This location was opened shortly after the hurricane and had full services available. I was able to drop off my laundry for wash and fold service early in the morning and pick it up later that day at a very affordable rate.

This really helped me out while I was busy helping others!!

When I was inside I was blown away by the type of laundromat it was. It's very clean and spacious. It has different zones and areas while you wait on your clothes. They have several media watching areas. They even have a wall of mirrors lights and outlets if you want to do some basic cosmetology. It's really unique establishment and a great service to it's customers.

There's even snacks for sale. It's a chore to do laundry but not a bad place at all to do it in. Wash and fold is $1.15 a pound with a 10 pound minimum.

I even had to visit a second time for wash and fold. I was kind of in a pinch of time but they they were able to take it close to closing and have it ready at open the next day! Kevin the owner is great people and he has some great employees as well! They love and appreciate girl scout cookies as tips too. Come visit if you need and are in the area.

  • Ehron Moats rated it 5/5: By far one of the cleanest nicest friendliest places to wash your clothes they have a kids area multiple seating for your phone and charging needs a teenage area so your kids don't have to be bored and run around and cause issues everything has been wiped down and is fully functional I recommend this place if you're in town by far the best so come check this place out even if you have a washer and dryer it's worth the coming in and feel of the place

  • Kit Mui rated it 5/5: Cleanest laundromat I have been to! I was traveling on a road trip and my hotel didn't have self serve laundromat. Free parking, nice AC, super clean, kid play area, and workstation with outlets. Not a coin laundromat and you do have to purchase a card for $1.
  • SHEBA LOVE rated it 5/5: Absolutely impeccable!! This place is SO clean and well kept! Convenient location (for me personally) and easy to find. There are PLENTY of comfy seats to sit and wait for your clothing to finish up. The restrooms are nice and clean, there is a section for kids, plenty of working machines to use, also there's a tv and magazines for entertainment if you'd like!😊 I felt safe and did not regret choosing this place for my services. I am absolutely satisfied with this place! If I could give 10 stars, I WOULD 😁👍🏼

Most relevant reviews:

  • A Shep rated it 5/5: In town for work and searched for a laundromat with coin laundry after 7pm. Started at a different company near Costco and parking lot was congested due to it being joined with a gas station. Quick search and found Atlas. Information on their website said "Laundromat is well lighted with security cameras throughout our facility that are monitored 24/7 for our customers safety. Parking in our Atlas lot is never a concern for space, convenience or safety." I hopped on the road and arrived at 8:30pm. Immediately was impressed with the well lit and spacious lot. Sign on door said last wash 8:45pm. I was welcomed by heart warming and considerate staff and locals. When asking for the WIFI, I was referred to a lady servicing a dryer while chatting with a patron, I think she was the owner. She was pleasant to provide the WIFI and the patron mentioned she had the best facility in town. As a collective we held doors for one another and a gentleman wheeled a laundry cart to the washer unit I was using when time elapsed. If you were to ask if I would be back again, resounding yes!

Jay “JayGee504” Gee rated it 5/5: I hate having to go to the washateria but this one is the exception! This place is always clean and the machines are always well maintained. This time I was pleasantly surprised to see that all of the machines were brand new! I was also glad to see that the very nice lady attendant was still there because I usually have questions about what settings I should be using on the machines or how to wash certain materials and she is always patient, kind and knowledgeable. She really runs that place well and treats all of her customers kindly and with respect. I highly recommend this washateria!

  • DeMonte Bosman (Ms LovinLyfe) rated it 5/5: Let me first say THANK YOU to the owner of the establishment for opening up in the aftermath of a hurricane, second to the PATIENT, ATTENTIVE, CARING and FRIENDLY laundry attendant and thirdly to the community that keep this local establishment flowing. My first visit was Sunday morning. I was greeted so welcoming I felt like I should of worn my slippers and robe. The laundry attendant made sure that my careless mistake of leaving my laundry detergent didn’t get carried away by intentional thieves. She was very calming and welcoming. The facilities was very clean and operational. The owner was on site and friendly. Rarely you see an owner of a business comfortable enough to speak with patrons. The vending machines had a great selection and they was operating as well. The prices was detailed on the machines. There are a mask mandate as well. There are plenty of dryers and machines to accompany the community. And drop off service is available as well. The only thing that is missing is the community taking advantage of the wonderful establishment!
  • Kelley Goodrich rated it 5/5: The ladies at the counter are always SO sweet. It’s a clean, convenient laundromat that offers wash and fold. After using their wash and fold service one time, I’m ready to sell our machines and just give them all our money! They are wonderful.
  • Nicole Hogan rated it 5/5: Love love love this laundromat! Love the industrial washers and dryers. They have every size you could possibly need. I love the super huge washers that let me wash all of my family’s colors, pillows, and bedding at one time. It saves me so much time. The washers and dryers cycle fast. The washers have so many selections like prewash, heavy soiled, medium soiled, and you can even pick what you are washing. They have colors and towels, sanitizer wash, whites, and bedding. You can select from three temperature settings. If you choose extra soiled, I believe it picks the temperature and settings for you. The dryers have three different temperatures. They also have reversed drying, and extended drying. All machines are self explanatory. They have a nice staff. Just make sure you are on time because when they are ready to leave, they are out the door. They have snack and drink machines. They sell detergent, softener, bleach, and laundry bags. If you need a extra sized garbage bag (I use them to cover my pillows for the car ride home) they are a dollar. They also can wash, dry, and fold your clothes for you. I don’t know what the rate is.
  • Theresa Barnard rated it 5/5: Have used this laundromat for wash and fold services while our home machine is not in use. Very friendly staff. Laundry is ready on time. The building inside and put is clean. Machines look to also be clean. As a bonus, it's not overly loud during busy times. Would definitely recommend for drop service.

September Porras rated it 1/5: Don't really like to post negative reviews, but I did want to mention not only is the cash situation difficult, but if the machines break (which they often do) you cannot get you items back until the mechanic comes, usually the next day. Also, when you get your items back, they still make you pay to wash and dry them after you have to COME BACK to get them because their machine broke. The dryers also have stained/burned my clothes.

  • M D rated it 5/5: Old laundry with lots of good machines. Attendant on duty and fluff and fold $1.37 a pound
  • Neesa Johnson rated it 4/5: Clean, ATM and change machines operate. When there is a problem there is usually someone there to help with coins getting stuck or malfunctioning machines. Wish there were more folding tables
  • Tim Harrell rated it 3/5: The laundromat is fine. It gets the job done, but the lady who runs it is a nasty piece of work. So incredibly rude. And it's more expensive than other places.
