Megan rated it 5/5: Super convenient location. Lots of different machines sizes available and decent prices for New York! Workers are always very friendly and wash and fold isn’t too expensive either

Most relevant reviews:

  • Kate rated it 5/5: I can't even begin to say how much I appreciate gentle wash! In early September I had to have surgery to have an organ removed. It was and has been extremely painful both before and after the surgery. I explained to gentle wash that I live on the 4th floor and I would need somebody to bring my heavy bag of laundry up to me (tipping the delivery person, naturally!) And their service has really been life-changing. There's such kind people, they respond immediately when you text them and they do a really great job with my laundry! I would recommend them to all of my friends!!
  • Stephanie Merone rated it 5/5: I usually do my own laundry, but last week was so hectic I had no choice but to find a laundromat. A friend recommended Gentle Wash and I am super thankful. All I needed to do was text them and they picked up my clothes in 40 minutes, returned them the next day all clean and neatly folded. I also love their detergent options. Highly recommended!
  • Mychae'l Green rated it 5/5: Honestly the best laundry mat in the city. Not only is it affordable and clean, but they have the best prices per wash I’ve seen…and I’ve lived in multiple boroughs! Highly highly recommend, you will be thankful !!
  • David Rodeck rated it 5/5: Been coming here weekly for nearly 2 years now to drop off laundry for wash and fold. They do a great job and are super nice. One-day turnaround and they're always on time. Highly recommend.

Kim Cassetto rated it 5/5: This same-day wash & fold is an amazing service located near the hotels in Times Square. We were charged $21 for 14 lbs of laundry and it was ready the same day within 5 hrs and neatly folded. Our hotel charges $25/dress, so this is a service we will definitely use in the future. Every item smelled fresh and was accounted for. The owner earned a generous tip from us.

  • Chase N rated it 5/5: We were in NYC for a trip and we were running out of clothes so I looked for any laundromats near me and thank god I found this place. They charge about $1.5 per pound and ended up being $27 for us which wasn't so bad for the amount of clothes we had. We dropped of our clothes there and we went around the city for the day while they took care of everything as they insisted that they do and I was amazed that they folded everything neatly, put it in a bag for us and made sure we had everything that we dropped off. The workers were very accommodating and friendly which made the experience very good. I would totally recommend this place for tourists who stay nearby Times Square that need a reliable and accommodating service.

  • Pavinee Gaffney rated it 5/5: The best wash and fold service we had during our 3 weeks stay in NYC. We tried 3 different places and Mr. Green laundry is the best of them all in price, speed, and service. We get the wash done 3 times a week and they are very efficient and reliable!
  • Brisbane Nurse BENNETT rated it 5/5: Absolutely brilliant service. Dropped off our dirty washing about 4pm and picked up the next day early. Will be doing this again before leaving on the plane…such a great service! All nice and clean and folded very nicely in plastic. Thanks Mr. Green Laundry!
  • Mike Gilbert rated it 5/5: I used full service. Laundry ready when promised. Everything clean and folded very nicely. Prices seem very reasonable.

Load Laundromat is a 24-hour laundromat in New York City's East Village. It has a wide range of washing and drying machines, as well as a coin-operated laundry service. The laundromat is clean and well-lit, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable, and the machines are well-maintained. There is a small seating area with a TV, and the laundromat is generally quiet and relaxing.

Param Talwalkar rated it 2/5: This place was really good and I recommended it to a lot of friends. But last time I used it, a used bandage fell out of my clothes as I removed it from the drier.

Most relevant reviews:

  • Dina Savva rated it 5/5: Love Load Laundromat! The are fast, kind, and communicative. I started using their delivery laundry services during quarantine and it has helped me tremendously. I fully trust them to handle my clothing and find the cleaning quality to be great. The delivery team is friendly and easy to reach!
  • Shuli Jones rated it 5/5: Love this place! I’ve only used it to wash my own, not the wash and fold. Cheaper prices and longer hours than nearby laundromats and they have a card system so you don’t need quarters. Plus Liz is super freaking nice and will help you out when you need it. I walk by like three other laundromats to come here.
  • Sam Hersh rated it 5/5: First, I already love Load Laundromat because it’s close to home. Second, they have plenty of machines, and for some reason, I always get there when there are just a few people around. So, it’s always a quick business. Lastly – and most importantly – I love the cleaning quality. Thank you so much, Load Laundromat. You help me a lot when I am busy, which is pretty often.
  • Param Talwalkar rated it 2/5: This place was really good and I recommended it to a lot of friends. But last time I used it, a used bandage fell out of my clothes as I removed it from the drier.
  • Tiffany Okoye rated it 1/5: Would literally never go here again. I got charged a bathroom rug cleaning fee ($6) which would have been fine if I was informed that that is an extra charge. When I informed the desk attendant to point it out to me for reference so I know for next time I was informed that it is only in the system. Not sure what that means, but ok. I also realized a few days later that ALL of my bra wires are ruined. These are bras I’ve had for 8+ years. So not only was I overcharged, but now I have to spend extra money to replace everything. This took me from expecting to pay around $30 to actually having to pay $70+ just to replace my quality bras. I decided to give this place a shot since the laundry in my building wasn’t working for 2 weeks – but I will never come back. I am really disappointed and would not recommend this service.

Herman Rijken rated it 5/5: Laundry is easily sorted here. Change machine, sell soaps, washers of all sizes and many hot dryers too. You can get away with having your laundry washed and dried in 1.5hrs. Price is fair. Baskets available to transfer washed clothes to dry. Folding area too.

Most relevant reviews:

  • Mare rated it 5/5: This place is small and BUSY, come prepared for some high-voltage self-service experiences. Susan helped me get started with one of the larger washing machines ($7.50 per cycle, about half an hour cycle), and I purchased single use detergent ($2.00) and single use fabric softener ($2.00). They do not offer dryer sheets. There is a quarter exchange machine for $1 bills and $5 bills, larger bills can be exchanged at the counter. The dryer costs ¢25 per 5 minutes and has three heat settings. A large load of various clothes took about 45 minutes ($2.25) to dry on the lowest setting for me. They offer large bags for clean clothes for ¢25. The employees speak fluent Spanish as well as English, too!
  • Paul Larson rated it 5/5: The place was busy but the staff were helpful and pleasant, one staff member in particular was great but we did not get her name unfortunately. They were very helpful with regard to directing us to a washing machine and then dryer when we needed it. Everyone in the laundry when we were there were working around each other so everyone could access where they needed to go. Good value for washing and drying.

  • Jillian White rated it 1/5: If I could give 0 stars I would. The workers are so rude and have no patience or courtesy of your time. They're also unable to keep the environment clean, half of their machines don't work, and they keep jacking up their prices. Don't waste your money here.
  • JILLIAN WHITE rated it 1/5: Terrible service, machines don’t work, and they keep jacking up the prices. The management is incredibly rude, will touch and move your clothing without asking and will yell at you when you try to talk to them. The environment is very unclean and the machines barely wash your clothing but that doesn’t stop them from price gauging. Don’t waste your money here.

NYC rated it 3/5: So, you can’t trust the reviews here. I guess the only way to find out if you like this place is to try it out yourself. They’re running a promo asking for reviews (see pic).

You do have to buy a card the first time (it’s like a $1 if I recall) and this place is cashless. Machines are a bit cheaper than on 1st, but that’s expected as it’s farther east. Signs say new machines.

It’s a shame that reviews are pointless these days. Some are legit but others not so take with a grain of salt. But I guess you can’t trust reviews on yelp either. Ultimately the only way to see if u like a place is to try it out or word of mouth. But I will say this place looks clean.

  • Jeanie rated it 5/5: The best laundromat I ever been too. I feel like my time flies by while I'm looking at all the beautiful plants they sell and relax while staring at the beautiful clouds painted on the ceiling.
  • Lily Koenig rated it 5/5: The best laundry service/place ever in NYC. They are fast, kind, and make it so easy. Not only are they the best at what they do but they are super organized and have a lot of different options to maximize the best service possible. I had asked if they could do same day delivery and they were able to have it to me within less than 6 hours. They are FABULOUS.
  • HAMSAFER BBS rated it 5/5: A very good and spho service i recommend everyone to use a once in their life.

  • Ron Gott rated it 3/5: I have and probably still will choose to use La La. But the customer service can be as unreliable as some of the machines. Unfortunately they have some people who are more concerned with helping their bosses save a buck by deflecting problems with equipment by creating insulting and ridiculous reasons instead of offering any real assistance. Overall a pleasant place but can definitely show some improvement.

Rahul Sanghani rated it 5/5: Great place for getting laundry done. Rather than wait while your clothes are being washed, they offer a drop off service where they wash, dry and pack your clothes for you – $14 for up to 7 pounds of clothes. Saves a huge amount of time when you are on a holiday.

  • Jonathan Escalante rated it 5/5: Staying in NYC and needed laundry to be done. Although they allow for self service laundry, I chose to pay for the full service. 12lbs for $20. Let me tell you, easy and excellent service. I dropped three bags of laundry and got this amazing bag folded and compressed. This guy was able compact my luggage to almost 1/3 of it's size. I've decided to not open the bag and go back home with more room for souvenirs.
  • Maria Alyssa Aguilar rated it 5/5: Owner and staff are approachable and wash prices are reasonable. It took me 2 hours to look for a laundromat this Sunday prior July 4th. Good thing Plan 452 is open. Would definitely go back!
  • Catie Di Stefano rated it 5/5: I’m staying at a nearby hotel and it’s my first time using a laundromat. The staff was very friendly and helped me operate the machine, and exchange coins for me. There is an ATM outside if needed, but there is no seating to wait for the laundry. I sat waiting outside under the trees 🙂
  • Isabella S rated it 5/5: Convenient, well located, early opening time, clean, quality and value laundromat. I went here twice to use both the washer and dryer during my stay in New York. The machines are well maintained, good customer service and well priced! $7 for a triple load washer and $4 for a double load washer. $2 for dryer. Get in early as the machines fill up quickly! And don’t forget the last entry is 8:05pm despite the laundromat closing at 9:30pm.

Sel Ng rated it 5/5: New to the neighborhood and was nervous about which laundry service would wash and fold impeccably with items coming back the original color and smelling great! I am SO HAPPY I followed the reviews and went with The Eco Laundry! Service was within a day, friendly, and everything came back smelling terrific and perfectly folded. There was nothing missing and all the whites came back white instead of gray! I dropped off the items for the first time just to check out the actual laundry and it was sparkling clean, efficient, air-conditioned, and run by the finest staff. Don’t take your laundry anywhere else. Ask them about the first time client discount.

  • Mike Cassidy rated it 5/5: Best in NYC… and that is very tough competition, we walk 10 minutes to get to Eco Laundry… clothes perfect every time! Well done!
  • Steve Karas (Steve) rated it 2/5: I should have known…

From the phone person that does not say “hello” when they pick up the phone but waits for you to you talk to the angry pick up man, it was a mistake.

I gave two bags separating dirty hot wash with light fragile items to wash cold. It all came back the same bags mixed , folded and placed with no care what so ever in the same bags, I hope the bags were cleaned too. Everything is a mess, at this price point, I expected more. Like basics more.

The delivery guy had so much hate in his face I was embarrassed to say thank you, he said no words what’s so ever and turned as fast as possible.

They did do it fast and it all here but that wasn’t the most important for me.

  • Grant Keller rated it 1/5: I was a long-time customer of Eco Laundry Chelsea, but will no longer be giving them my business. After receiving a white shirt back from the Eco Laundry team that was in worse condition than when I gave it to them to launder, the team was unwilling to problem solve with me to fix the shirt that they stained. The lead employee at Eco Laundry told me the shirt was “wearable” and refused to acknowledge the problem that his team stained my shirt, did not get it fully out, and then only got the shirt to a condition he deemed “wearable”. The shirt was “wearable” (albeit not clean) when I sent it in for his team to clean, but now it was in a worse condition with remnants of the stain still visible on the shirt.

The “wearable” excuse was disappointing for a team I worked with countless times. More disappointing was the combative and accusatory phone call I received from the lead employee, telling me I was taking advantage of him, by trying to have the shirt cleaned and returned to me in better condition than when I dropped it off. The lead employee was not constructive and did not address how we can problem solve so his customer was pleased. This experience was extremely disappointing and I hope the business does better by others, as I will not be supporting the business any longer. The lead employee has many times in the past made me feel like he did not have time to help me (which I have seen in other reviews, so know it is a pattern); however, this incident truly was too much for me to justify going back to the business.

Jordan rated it 3/5: Fine for other things, but do not use their hang dry service. I walked in wondering where their hang dry space was, because I didn't see any clothes hanging up or racks for it, but I assumed it must be in the back somewhere. I come back 36 hours later, well past the time they told me things would be ready, and all my clothes are still wet. And its no wonder, because they were all crammed into a tiny hanging rack.

Much cheaper than most places for that service, but not worth paying per item if you have to hang everything up again to dry at home.

Also, the lady was rude to me.

  • Stacey Pryor rated it 5/5: I find this laundry facility to be top notch. More than enough folding tables, machines both washer and dryers and adequate places to sit. They also close later than the surrounding laundries. Last wash during weekdays is 7:30.
  • Ragan Belton rated it 4/5: In and out in no time. I would give a 5 but there are times when they allow homeless to hang out. They light cigarettes indoors and have to be yelled at to leave. I have observed an occasional bug or three on the seating
  • JoAnn Canning rated it 4/5: Neighborhood business. Efficient, personable staff.

  • Daniel Zuluaga rated it 1/5: The worst experience! At first, I left my clothes washing a couple of times. They charge me extra to separate the white clothes from the color one. When it was returned, it smelled like it was never washed. Since it was my most convenient location, I decided to go back and wash the clothes myself. They staff is not nice at all! I went to wash at 8:00 pm half a bag of clothes. They didn't let me wash it because they were cleaning even though the website says it closes at 9:30 pm. I do not recommend anyone going to this place.

Plenty of beautiful new self-service washing machines in multiple sizes with digital countdown timers, alongside rows of efficient new 3-temperature dryers. Other available services: drop-off wash and fold (same day upon request and discounted 15% until 7/27/19) and dry cleaning. I’ve never been so excited about a laundromat in my life!

  • Stella Lee rated it 5/5: Local laundromat run by a super nice family. They are responsive and efficient. I used to supply my previous laundromat with my own softener and detergent but I don't need to because my laundry always comes back smelling amazing. Prices are cheap for Manhattan, so glad to have found this business!
  • Tamara Lewis rated it 5/5: always friendly and never lost anything. they fold your clothes nice and neatly and it smells fresh. They pick it up and drop it off and text you to make sure you are home when they drop off.
  • Briana Carassone rated it 1/5: Maybe they’re good as a self serve laundromat, but this review is specifically for the dry cleaning. I requested next day pick up. They took it honoring that request. They didn’t have to and I could’ve found another business which I wish I did. It’s two days later and I’m told my items are in QUEENS in someone’s broken down truck. they do not do the dry cleaning on premise. Big No No and I will not return here NOR recommend this business.
