I have no reason not to give it 5 starts I just never do hand out 5 stars. Place is huge, place looks fairly new, parking lot is decent size. There are a lot of people here and there is plenty of seating. Employees are walking around keeping the place of from why I see.

Dryers, washers are constantly OUT OF ORDER, the carts LORD if you can find one they don’t roll too good and if there is an error with your machine you just have to hope the attendant has enough money on their “comp card” because if not you are out of your money and have to use more money because you are forced to switch to another machine (hopefully that works properly)
I have it two stars ONLY because the workers that I’ve encountered there have always been helpful and they make sure they keep the place clean.

With cases rising in nj now is not the time to slack off on people wearing masks. I will stop going here and I will discourage anyone else that wants to go because it’s a safety concern if they don’t get back on it! Even one of the ladies that work there was walking around with her mask on her chin!

david? rated it 5/5: I've been to this place as a baby and seeeing the place again after years, this must be the nicest Laundromat to see and there are so many machines if the place was to ever get full, The only problem is, Even after 40 min of drying all the clothes a few never dyed properly, The other Laundromat near my house have dryers older then there's and it drys the clothes better even at a full load, If this problem was to get improved then I would give 5 stars.
Edit: I was there and washed some stuff earlier, the dryers seems to have been improved when it comes to heating and drying fully, 5 stars.

Moriah Potts rated it 5/5: This laundromat is a lot cleaner than the exterior. Its 24hrs. The staff is very helpful. They have more washing capacity than dryers and the dryers are very small. They have very big machines and arent as expensive as other laundromats. The dryers dry very well so beware when it comes to blankets and comforters or clothes you do want to shrink. They also have the option for 3 dollars more to wash longer. The machines wash really well and they're pretty new and easy to use.
They use cards instead of quarters. And the cards dont quickly expire. I have had a card since 2016 with $10 on it and it still works after all thos time.
There is parking available. The parking lot is not the biggest so you might have to park on the side street.
If you forget bleach or soap or fabric softener they have some to buy on site and there are nearby stores as well. If your forget soap, you might as well buy it in the laundromat. The markup in nearby stores are pretty much the same. The price of convenience.
The biggest washing machine is about $10 without the really dirty option. I washed 5comforters in this one and it washed really well. The one smaller can wash a contractor's bag worth of clothes and still has room for $6. The one smaller is $4.90. I'm not sure about the smaller machine. The dryers are 33cents for 7minutes.
They constantly remind people at peak hours to not leave their clothes in the dryer.
I find the best time to wash clothes is from 9PM-11am on weekends. On weekdays 9pm-230pm. Its great thats you can clean during the night hours.

It is spacious inside and there are two stations to fold clothes. A bunch of available laundry carts even during peak hours it seems like there is just enough And the facts it’s 24 hours makes it worth it.

I came here as a kid, and kept coming as an adult because Laundry Fresh is one of the only 24 hour laundromats in Newark. It was always clean, staffed by courteous and helpful employees, and reasonably priced. Over the past year or so, I’ve noticed things slowly going downhill. While the inside of the facility has remained pretty clean and the service has remained up to par, it has seemingly become a clubhouse or “kick-it spot” for random rambunctious locals in the wee hours of the night. I usually like to come to the laundromat around 1-3am when it’s tranquil and free of crowds. However, during the past few visits I’ve seen a parking lot full of people just hanging out. On several occasions I’ve left and came back, to still find them there. It’s unfortunate that the owner and/or staff do next to nothing to control the loitering of non-patrons. Unfortunately, until they do, I’ll be taking by business elsewhere.

My clothes always smell so good, they are well folded and separated (down to the little bag of socks). And on the occasion, when I washed my clothes myself, the machines are so clean, the counters spotless and the floors immaculate. The employees are super helpful and very friendly. This is how you should run a laundry.

They have the option of loading your card using cash app, but they charge you $2 for loading! It's not a credit card, so I don't understand why the charge is so high!

Third time using their service, all of my delicates; work clothes were missing. Four pairs of slacks, two blouses and a whole pant suit was missing. Including the bag it came in. This time I spent over $70 to wash, pants were $35 each and so was my shirts as for my suit (Lord relax me) was $100! The fact that they let a fein roam around there in the late night hours running through the machines is crazy. I know this from Yackira, she’s the one who washed my clothes. All I’m saying is I want to be reimbursed for my missing clothes ( It’s not like I washed them and left them in the dryer unattended). I trusted these people with my belongings and to not have a solution for this is beyond me. So before I open a suit against them someone needs to address this. Y’all have my information so let’s get busy. Otherwise, you all will be hearing from my lawyer. Thanks happy holidays people.

I did a drop off and pick up service, and although I was able to do this the same day was excellent. However, when I got my clothes home and unpacked them all my whites came back stained, digny, and dull. All my white towels (bottom right pic) we're all brand spanking new, had never been used. This was the first time I was washing them and this is how they were returned to me, I cannot use them I have to throw them all away. And my white t-shirts ( bottom left pic) all returned the same as the towels, again have to be thrown away. This is sad, so disappointed, Never Again!

Never had any problem with machines and anything else.
Place is organized, a bunch of machines, you don’t need to use quarters, pay by card and they also have vending machines inside.
They provide Wi-Fi too.

Morning Calm Laundromat is a great place to get your laundry done. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices are very reasonable. The laundromat is always clean and well-maintained. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great laundromat in the Newark area.

The guy actually did my work for me and he never complained. Or asked for anything. Ive been irresponsible on multiple occasions leaving out and not returning. And my clothes never came up missing. Even when it was full to capacity i never had a problem. And u get free drying. My clothes always come out clean. There are big spaces for folding. Thats a plus. Ive been to other locations where u can barely have space to do anything and the machines are so complicated. Most of all the atmosphere is very polite.and there is always someone around to help. You feel welcome. Cant complain about anything..

Atiyah Guyton rated it 1/5: At first when I was going there I like it because they have free dryers and big washers but now I hate it the dryers are still free but the washers are terrible they're always either broke or done produce enough water and the owner doesn't like to reimburse you for their mistakes I'm define finding a better laundromat
Bi Jou rated it 1/5: Been to quite a few places, but this is by far the worst. A laundromat with no hot/warm water. The machines start turning and zero water comes out. There are four temperature options and only one of them works. But you wouldn't know that because no one tells you until you've already spent your money. I asked what the issue was with the machines and apparently this is for ALL the machines. I watched another customer ask the same question and the attendant had to manually fill her machine with water, but still no soap was being dispensed? This place is pretty low budget with poorly working machines. Definitely requesting my money back.

The next day my clothes were picked up at 8AM and returned to me by 2PM same day. Everything was washed and folded to perfection. This was my first time using this service and it won’t be my last. I will definitely be a frequent customer.

It’s good to clarify that the actual washing and folding of clothes is very good. The issue is the manager and whoever else is in charge of dealing with questions and issues that come up with a missing bag or trying to get a spot for delivery. In sum, that part of customer service is lacking.

I have used the “drop off” and “delivery” wash and fold services. In the beginning everything was good. I was actually quite happy with it. But then it became a hassle.

1. Wash and fold delivery services: even when reserving days in advance, the manager did not send the driver for the pick up of my clothes on the day it was agreed upon. There was no call o text stating it. When I reached out via text the answer was “I’m sorry the driver was full as well as the laundromat”

2. Wash and fold drop off: because of moving residences, I had a lot to send so I decided to use the drop off service. When picking it up, even after noticing that perhaps the order was not complete, I checked and I was told that everything was there. At home, when putting the clothes away, I noticed that two comforters were missing.

The issue for me is not that human error cannot happen, but the way it was handled. They tried to pin it on me (the customer) that I did not check and I should have said something at the time of pick up… and I did ask about it.

When checking the website to call the store, there were 2 numbers: 1 ended up being the contact for wash and fold. I spoke with the person in charge and told me I had to go to the store, she was gone for the day and also that she was the manager. There was such a lack of responsibility and carelessness.

It’s very unfortunate because they are good at washing and folding services. However, having to deal with unnecessary back and forth, when one is trying to support local businesses, it’s time consuming.

I’m trying an app for wash and fold delivery services from now on.
Joana Bastos rated it 1/5: I’ve been going to this laundromat for years. I’ve had a few issues with the machines and my clothes getting ruined but the worst part of it all is the owner. The owner does not care for good customer service. He has always been rude but today, he truly put the icing on the cake. I always have a timer for when the machine will be done washing/drying therefore I know to come back as soon as my machine is done. Today, I showed up a mere two minutes after it was done and see that the owner is removing my clothes from the machine I was using. When I approached him, he was incredibly rude. He argued that he needed to use my machine but most machines next to the one I was using were empty. This isn’t the first time he has done this but it is certainly the last as I will not be coming back.

By accident. I call about it and she hangs up on me saying she doesn’t have time … yet when I called back shocked !!! Literally shocked !!!! I that she would hang up … (have been nothing but polite with this business) I timed it she spent over a minute saying what she wanted to say and when I tried to speak she talked over me again and then says she doesn’t have time yet again. Usually people behave that way when they know they are wrong and instead of saying no worries I’ll add to the next order etc. she basically said she doesn’t care about having me as a customer oh she was doing me a favor yet she also said she has two other clients on my area as well ..Montclair …

Blows my mind that in this day and age people still don’t understand that customers are the reason you have a job even if you are the owner. I tip and use there service on a regular basis and she tells me she was doing me a favor lol. So sad
I had work done in my house since the new year luckily it’s almost over and I can use my washing machine and dryer again.
