Anthony Somes rated it 4/5: First time here. I'm from out of the area. I like the range in prices. Best prices. Especially for me doing a simple small load. The arcade on the mezzanine is fun. All games work. Back to the classics. Rampage is my pick for today.

Unfortunately the "Cafe" is closed. That was a draw for me to visit here. But will continue in the future regardless.

If you do not live in the area. Parking can be a chore. I was lucky to find a street spot open 100ft away. The actual parking lots holds maybe 3 cars plus the handicap.

Overall great atmosphere. Kept Tidy. Bathrooms clean. Wifi available. Able to pay cash or vard. And Stamp cards always a bonus.

  • B T rated it 5/5: Clean place with great machines that wash and dry very well!

Since I was in Mississippi District I figured I'd hit up the other Spin Laundry location. This spot is also nice and big, open tall ceilings with lots of natural light.

Machines are clean, work well and dryers are fast! These machines take credit cards, keep hitting the green button on the card reader to match the machine and its just that easy.

Enjoyed my visits to both spots! Easy to get in and get out quickly.

Old school video games upstairs only took a quarter to play; helped the time go fast!

  • Alice Schwarz rated it 4/5: The owner is nice, but the neighborhood looks sketchy (homeless camps all over the area) and they only have 4 parking spaces so I had to park down the block aways (which wouldn't be very convenient for alot of laundry or rainy weather). There were two one stall bathrooms and the farther once was all tagged up and had a sharps container (I didn't check the closer one). Even the changing table was tagged up so I didn't feel safe to change my baby there. She refilled the soap when I told her it was empty and was very nice to work with even honoring the remaining balance on a gift card purchased two years ago. If you want to support her eco laundry mission, try the other location. It was much larger and nicer.

  • B. Donnae Gilliard rated it 3/5: This Spin location was easy to find and very clean inside however there are only 4 parking spots that are always full. The attendants were nice, but had several machines occupied with laundry for persons who'd paid for it to be done by the staff. When it was time for me to use a dryer, several machines were noted to be finished but still were occupied with clothes so multiple people including myself were waiting to use the machines. When an attendant was asked about freeing up a few of the machines the response was "We're trying to get to it" if by getting to it means multiple people on staff in the back having a conversation and laughing then, I guess so. Another patron was nice enough to come over to me when her clothes were done so I could use her machine. Needless to say I won't be back.
  • S Fletcher rated it 3/5: The staff was nice and my down comforter was cleaned quickly through their drop off service. However, it came back with a fair amount of animal hair on it. It has always been in a animal-free house and had a duvet cover, so all hair was picked up in the wash/dry/pack process. I had to spend awhile with a tape roller to get it off. The facility looks nice, and the washers are large, but for anyone with animal allergies it might not be ideal.

Sharon rated it 1/5: I've been doing my laundry here forever. Like as in thirty years. I appreciate the new machines. My clothes come out clean.
It's a pretty cool place, reasonably priced, but there's one thing.
Man, the parking lot smells like an outhouse.
Okay it's disgusting. Takes your breath away.
That smell got on my shoes walking through the lot and now its in my car. Oh my god. Now I have to do more laundry after washing out the smell, if it comes out. The stench is overwhelming.
Trust and believe it won't be there.
I can't believe the management hasn't done something.
I'm not the only one that can smell it. It's off the hook

  • Lucifer “Louie” Avalon rated it 5/5: It's ACTUALLY open 24/7! Loved the variety of machine sizes. Prices were pretty reasonable. The machines look new/er and work great. Building was tidy and clean, though a little run down looking. Coin machines and detergent available on site. Only downside is it's cash only, no card payment available on machines.
  • Amber Morris rated it 5/5: I used their pick up services and loved it. They charge it by weight and everything gets picked up on a day and time range of your choosing and then dropped off on a day and time range of your choosing and I did the next day drop off and it worked really well for me since I work nights. The clothes were delivered in easy to grab bags right to my door (which is impressive cause I live on the third floor) and always came neatly folded they have name brand detergents or you can send your own with your clothes. The team at alpine laundry are so nice and considerate I will miss having them making my life easier. Thank you Alpine Laundry!!
  • Lars Hathaway rated it 5/5: Same schedule & services as before… 24hrs, full service laundry. But this time, it was super clean. And with new washer & dryer machines. The loitering by the transients wasn't a thing at all… this time. Service staff were very friendly and easy to talk with, ask questions and joke around with.
Good humor, great spirit, clean, new machines. And it felt safe, unlike ever before. Great Work
  • Makayla Verd rated it 4/5: Busy busy busy place.
My ONLY complaint is.. Dryers start for .25 for 5 min, but they take FOREVER to dry clothes. I even separated a medium load into 4 dryers and it was about 7 shirts in a dryer, 4 pairs of jeans in another, and socks and underwater in the last dryer, and my items still weren't dry 35 min later.. so I took them out and went to another laundry mat and dried them with about 15 min of dry time.

    The washers are fine! 🙂

There are some sketchy figures around, but hey, it's Portland. There was a guy sleeping in there on the floor, but a worker made him leave after a few warnings.

I brought my own soaps and dryer sheets, but they do have some cheap soap for sale for 1$.

There is also a washing/drying service where you can drop it off and pick it up. They used to come to your house for pickup/delivery, but call and see if they are still doing it now days.

If you're looking for an eco-friendly laundry option in Portland, Belmont Eco Laundry is a great choice. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the prices are very reasonable. The laundry facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the machines are high-quality and efficient. There's a wide variety of laundry detergents and other products available, and the overall experience is very positive.

HTB rated it 4/5: For chemically sensitive people….The washing machines are great, you can sanitize with hot water for free but that doesn’t mean your clothes won’t smell of scented dryer sheets from the dryers! The place used to be staffed all open hours but now you can’t use the bathroom if no one’s there. I find there’s often filth around the rims of the dryers and I have to clean them before use. Even cleaning the drum doesn’t get rid of the scent from dryer sheets. I loved the original owners and happy for them to be able to retire but the place isn’t the same without them. The pandemic has affected staff retention too. It’s still better than other laundromats but not nearly as good as it was.

Most relevant reviews:

  • Jody “Peachez” Parsons rated it 5/5: This is my favorite laundry mat by far! Very clean, they actually have a bathroom you can use and the staff is super friendly and helpful! Very nice machines as well.
  • Sarah Koch rated it 5/5: What's not to like? I've used this laundromat for 12 years and have never had anything to complain about. Spacious, clean, lots of modern machines (you can use your phone to track progress of washers or dryers). The washers handle double, 5x or 6x loads. There's usually at least one well-trained attendant if you have questions or problems as well as a phone number you can call for immediate support. (I believe there's also a vlothes-folding service available. ) I love the options of using change (there is a change machine as well as a vending machine for detergent) or a bank or credit card. BelEco makes laundry day so much easier.

  • David Burke rated it 4/5: Clean. People on site to help. Washers are large. Dryer get hot. It's a nice laundry mat. The big washers cost like 13$ but it's been awhile since I've got to the laundry mat so that might be the going price. I'd go back.
  • Steven Walker rated it 4/5: Facility was clean and well lit, which is a great start. Prices are pretty average, as far as I can tell. Machines work very well. The dryers do a phenomenal job. I paid for 30 minutes and everything was warm and very dry by 26 minutes. I used the 75 pound machines to get all my blankets and comforters clean for the upcoming cool weather and it all came out fresh and clean.

My only significant complaint is a lack of clear instructions for using the machines. I had to swipe my card multiple times for the washer. I expected it to just charge the price for the cycle I selected but it didn't. It only charged the base price and I had to figure out that I needed to press a button on the card reader multiple times to match the extra cost for the comforter cycle and extended rinse.

A much more minor complaint is with the vending machine for laundry supplies. Why can't all the detergents, fabric softeners, bleach, and dryer sheets be grouped together, in order, from left to right? I am tall enough that seeing which product was under which coin slot was a problem. Bending over and checking every slot because the dryer sheets weren't on the far right, as I expected, seemed unnecessary.

In all, I spent $20.50 to wash three full/queen blankets and a comforter, including $1 each for soap and dryer sheets. That seems like a fair price for something I do annually.

Profoundcake rated it 5/5: Can't get much better as a laundromat. It's clean, very well maintained and the washers clean your laundry better than most places I've tried. They have plenty of size options so you won't waste money using a larger washer than you need. They also sell things like eco friendly soaps, dryer balls, and laundry bags.

Most relevant reviews:

  • Katelyn Henneman rated it 5/5: This place is very clean, and for the most part, not crowded. The machines always leave my clothes feeling like new. They have different size washes and dryers, from a normal size washer to a machine that holds a king size comforter. The workers are also always kind and helpful. They take cards and coins. AND IT'S PET FRIENDLY!
  • Nancy “Nancy Drew Girl Sleuth” Drew rated it 5/5: State of the art equipment, excellent staff, makes laundry less of a chore. Love this place despite the limited parking. On the SW corner of NE 24th Ave and NE Broadway. Two thumbs way up 👍 👍
  • Laura Belk rated it 5/5: Best laundromat ever!! And I've experienced some really awesome laundromats, let me tell you. Super clean and big and airy. Tons of modern. Fresh-y washers and dryers of all sizes. Complimentary scoops of eco-friendly laundry powder. And very kind helpful staff who made me feel welcome and special. My one-and-only laundromat from now on.

Washers had all the settings possible and the dryers worked pretty fast. I was able to get in and out without much fuss (did laundry right after they opened)

Looks like it could be fun place to "wash and mingle" later in the day.

    Nice clean washroom was appreciated

Kalab Washburn rated it 4/5: The washers and dryers work well, it's generally clean and there is almost always staff onsite. It can get busy. Prices have gone up and it isn't cheap, but it's still my go to when I have a lot of laundry to handle.

Most relevant reviews:

  • Amanda Martin-Tully rated it 5/5: I tried to ditch a date by saying I had to do laundry and he offered to come with me… I said he couldn't come over after because my bed wasn't made and he offered to help with that too. So while laundry may not be a deterrent for bad dates, take the free labor and tell him your roommate's coming home early.

Doing laundry shouldn't be glamorous or expensive, and it's not here. Friendly staff and a well lit location makes this place feel clean and safe and that's greatly appreciated. There's also a bar next door (Claudia's) and that's the perfect spot to grab a drink while your laundry washes. Just avoid football Sunday, if you've sworn it off just like you did your ex-husband.

  • john winter rated it 5/5: Kind and helpful staff, really clean area, reasonable rates, plenty of machines. Love doing laundry here. Location is convenient, and plenty of things to do close by.
  • Shane Stricker rated it 4/5: All the cleanliness and efficiency of Spin Laundry, without the bells and whistles. The place is definitely taken care of. The location is nice with many shops and things to look at nearby. The prices, comparable to Spin, are a bit high. $8.25 for a giant washer, $3.25 for a tiny one, and about $1 to dry everything.
  • Kalab Washburn rated it 4/5: The washers and dryers work well, it's generally clean and there is almost always staff onsite. It can get busy. Prices have gone up and it isn't cheap, but it's still my go to when I have a lot of laundry to handle.
  • Artsykat2003 rated it 1/5: UPDATE: You'd think they'd make it a little more Obvious that you will Not get warm or hot water before you pay for extras at the machines…. Apparently, this has been going on for TWO (2!) Months!!! Back to the earlier point – Anything For a extra Buck – #Dishonest!!!!! Absolutely LAST Time here.

New owners = service & cleanliness are Way Down. Masks are optional, it seems – the "No Mask No Service" was replaced with a small sign, a little bigger than your phone, with a picture of a mask. The Carts are Not Cleaned and people doing laundry not wearing masks

This Used to be a terrific, if somewhat on the high-end, place to do your laundry – in both locations. Always Clean and owners kept it up shipshape. Not any more. BTW Prices were Raised as Service is Down.
    What a Huge, Huge Disappointment!
Changing to One (1) star. The place is No Longer Clean. Just the machines are the remnants of what this place used to be like.

  • Manie Morales rated it 5/5: Great laundromat! Super clean and the owner is super friendly! I called ahead on New Years Eve because my usual laundromat closed early, (totally fine they work really hard ) and the owner actually answered ! Super affordable and well, I just love it and I think you will too!!
  • Harley Angel rated it 5/5: Always clean. The owner is always there improving the laundry mat. It is always busy.
  • Caroline Perry rated it 2/5: I would not go here if you are a younger female. The owner and friends will creepily stare at you then the women will be nasty to you when you just try to be left alone. I may as well be back in Kintucky because clearly these people are no more progressive and decent. Also, the washers are cheap and one of my socks got caught in the inner lip of the washer and didn't get washed at all.

Caleb Rodriguez rated it 1/5: That was incredibly frustrating. I’m new here. I thought my complex’s laundry was expensive so I tried here. I couldn’t even find the place at first because google and Siri kept taking me to various spots around St. John despite having the correct address in. When I finally got there I find out I can’t actually have my laundry done by people as was advertised. The reason why was that there was not a single “bag” to load my laundry in inside the establishment. Can’t get quarters cause there’s no ATM. I went when they said there would be an attendant. There was none. They say you can load up a card with cash, but there was no where to get this card. There’s not even a number to call or get a hold of if you need anything at all. Above all else, it’s MORE expensive than using my apartments laundry room. Can’t believe this place has business, but I guess if you’re desperate and have few mobility options this is your “best” bet. I certainly wouldn’t bother

  • Chase H rated it 5/5: I like how they have a pre sanitation wash for free before you wash your clothes. The washer and dryers are newer then most places. They got this Blue Sky Laundry Cards that you can use and you do not need quarters. On the washer you can get a text message when there is 10 minutes left and when they're done. The happy hours are the first two hours I've opening at 6:00a.m. and the last 2 hours to before closing @ 11:00p.m.
  • Nancy Binder rated it 5/5: I've recently come into association with the excellent wash and fold services of the people at the Blue Sky Eco Laundry while assisting a friend with her new AirBnB adventure, which has it's own need for tight scheduling and professional looking products. I have been most happy with the very fast turn around (within the 24 hours they state as their usual timeline) of VERY bulky bedding. I also appreciate the secure lockers until items are picked up:-)
  • B L rated it 4/5: Maria is the nicest attendant and person you’ll ever meet. She was so kind and helpful. She deserves 10 stars.

I like the sanitizer option but the machines could use someone to clean them by hand as the rubber gaskets are dirty.

The dryers are the most powerful I’ve seen and will dry even a bulky item in less than 20 minutes.

I also appreciate that customers can use a credit card but boy is it expensive to do a wash, and if you want hot water that will cost an extra $0.75 but it only charges the credit card $0.25 at a time so it’s a hassle.

  • Edwin Nava rated it 3/5: Semi clean, a few weeks ago there was some needles by the trash.
Prices are $4.25 per small wash and usually .$75 to dry. Not cheap, but not very expensive.
  • Caleb Rodriguez rated it 1/5: That was incredibly frustrating. • Kronic Kimchi rated it 5/5: Very clean and a customer told me about the Speed Queen App id highly recommend it, that alone will get me to return also its next to a Plaid Pantry…
  • Steve Solomon rated it 5/5: I love this place , even though I hate doing laundry! But when your laundry piles up and you don't want to do it at home, this is the place to go. It's always clean, lots of machines, some of them very large.
  • Karen YES-Karen rated it 5/5: Cleanest laundromat I’ve ever been in… It’s only a half an hour to wash and a half an hour to dry! They have all different size washers and dryers. Only five dollars to wash and a buck 50 to dry.. you feel safe there and there’s a plaid pantry right next-door if you get thirsty or hungry. I won’t go anywhere else!
  • Jane M rated it 4/5: Very clean laundromat, no broken machines. There are a few $3.00 smaller washers if you just have small loads, otherwise the washers are $5.00. As others have said, the dryers are $1.50 to start and you get 30 minutes. This is the thing that made me deduct a star. I travel all over in my RV so I see a lot of laundromats.
Almost all of them start with just a quarter, although the minutes you get vary. Still, I prefer not having to dump in $1.50 just to start. Overall a great laundromat tho.

Erin rated it 1/5: The wifi here is horrendous, you cant even load instagram. The washing machines ONLY take some stupid app that you have to prepay a set amount, so you are WASTING your money. I will never come back

  • Maxx M. rated it 5/5: I provide the cleaning service for both mats. When I clean the machines they look like the photo I've posted. Most of the regulars clean up after themselves. But every now and then there are those who don't care how their lack of consideration affects the establishment as well as other customers. A lot of people complain about the dirtiness, but forget why it's messy at times. It's a self-run mat, we do what we can but can't be there 100% of open hours. We sincerely appreciate the customers who tidy after themselves.
Each time I work the customers have been friendly towards me and even the neighborhood residents showed gratitude when I was cleaning up the outside. It's a great neighborhood and the owner does what he can to get machines fixed. The owner has just gotten me involved and hopefully we can get things running smoother and keep it that way.
  • Bridget Bimrose rated it 5/5: My washer broke & I was scrambling to do laundry. Clean-O-Rama in NW delivered! I highly suggest you download the app for payment: less fuss and it gives you updates on how long is left in the wash/dryer cycle. It was clean, I had a place to park my car and wifi allowed me to get some work done while waiting.
  • Jake Foster rated it 2/5: Don't leave your stuff unattended here!!! While I've never had my clothes stolen i have had people steal my dryer. It used to be a good laundromat but lately it's become dirty with constantly broken machines and an abundance of homeless people hanging out that you can't trust your stuff around. So be aware when you use this place.
  • Mamimi Musubi rated it 1/5: Dirtiest laundromat ever. Smells like mildew and must when u walk it and the seals on the door have all sorts of black mold and brown juice that leaks into your laundry while washing! It is beyond disturbing and I would not recommend.
