  • vernon t. ollenberger rated it 5/5: Very happly, wash – dry – fold . Myself. Even visited with a person did not know. Nice to talk to person. Living, learning life. The two female persons working busy and helpful. I bought soap/bleach. Also: washers and dryers working very good. Thanks Lunar….

  • Leah Day rated it 5/5: Great place to do laundry! We were able to get wash and dry done quickly. It was pretty busy but we didn't have to wait for machines. There's an ATM, quarter machine, bathroom for customers, vending machine, and wifi! You can even pay with your phone. Would definitely come back if I needed to.
  • Toni M rated it 5/5: This place is wonderful. Clean, I never have issues finding open machines (keep in mind I go before 9am, but even if I've arrived after 9am on a Saturday or Sunday I've been able to access at least 2 machines). ATM and coin machines, but you may also use an app for the machines; they have numbers AND stickers of things to identify that you're paying for the right machine in the app (plane, skier, other random stickers). Also… EVERYONE I've chatted with there has been delightfully friendly.

It's a hidden gem! I drive here from Cap Hill because it's the biggest one I've found.

  • six raccoons in a secondhand patagonia jacket rated it 5/5: The laundry process is pretty quick and seamless here, you could be done in under an hour depending on the load. The washers aren’t expensive when you compare the size of the jumbo washers. I put in one load what would’ve been two to three loads of linens are my house and I feel like I totally get my money’s worth.

Also totally worth the two buses it takes to get there. I’m glad we have such a great laundromat in the area.

Stephanie D rated it 1/5: The girl with colored hair who works there had now turned us away five times even though it’s way before closing times. She always has sketchy people with her outside. Each time it’s the same thing she claims she has to leave and doesn’t know when the next person is coming in. Seems as many people have had similar issues and the owner is very mean and unprofessional in review comments.

  • Lamandalynne “Panda Rex” Promise rated it 5/5: Nice and clean!! Plenty of washers and dryers. Probably the best laundromat I've EVER been to!!
The dryer my boyfriend and I were using wasn't drying our clothes well. When we brought it up to the attendant at the desk she acknowledged the issue and was prompt with coming up with a solution. I appreciate her very much.
This is my first time here and very satisfied!!
    Thank you!!
  • Tea Lee rated it 1/5: Unfortunately I did not have a good experience and that lies with one of their front staff. Young girl, half pink half black hair, somewhat tall and thin. When I got dropped off, it was by an Uber driver. He did not speak fluent English and that’s perfectly fine. What wasn’t fine was the girl being dropped off by her companion, hopped out of the vehicle at the turn in (blocking the path for others, ironically), yelled at the guy that “you know you’re taking up two spots, bro”.

The guy politely waved, agreed, I unloaded the rest of my bins, and went inside. When I went to the front desk to ask which ones weren’t out of order, the girl in question, with an attitude; “the ones not in order.” Yes, thank you, however some unlabeled had no lights, which she also said was an indicator. It was not.

As I was writing this review to keep note of, the suspected owner let me know of a better washing machine (rather than where I was and where the girl had initially pointed to, all with attitude), doing a proper job and not inputting weird personal emotions into the mix. I couldn’t find the lady otherwise I would’ve spoken with her about this and not necessarily reviewed, but I could not.

The girl, during her initial shift, sat outside with her companion, smoking and generally goofing off. Would be one thing if she hadn’t been rude during the entire exchange.

The suspected owner is a nice lady, but she needs to reevaluate her choice in staff. This was unacceptable behavior.

Unfortunately our machine breaks often and we have to utilize this laundromat. I don’t wish for this to be a regular occurrence. It’s incredibly unwelcoming and unprofessional behavior.

  • Tuo Campolamente rated it 1/5: This place is terrible, for the simple reason that they're never open when they say they'll be. Your google profile says you're open from 9am to 9pm. Your website says you're open from 9am to 9pm. So why is it that for the last 3 our of 5 times I've showed up at 4pm on a wednesday to do a wash, you're closed? Well, it's obvious why. Because the people working there are lazy and want to close early so they can go home. Great, good for you. What about the people who are planning their days around your hours, last wash schedule, etc. Surprise, your plans are now foiled.

The attitude of the staff is atrocious as well. How dare you come in 3 hours before closing with a new load – you just ruined that employees night, because she was hoping to skip work early, and she won't hesitate to tell you so with a barrage of cursing and infantilization.

I'll never go here again, and I suggest you don't either if you value your time.

  • Sandi Mann rated it 1/5: At 7:20pm, after looking on website for hours (9am-10pm), hauled a load of soaking wet laundry (my washer stopped spinning) was told
i wasn't allowed in to use a machine. I saw the "last load cant be started after 7) in small print under "hours open" I shared my situation with the attendant and that i wouldn't be drying my load. She was ready close down and closed the door on me. I did suggest she turn the OPEN sign off.
NOT HAPPY … could have my clothes drying in my dryer 😩

he said she had already cleaned and emptied coin holders a.

    HAPPY

  • Michael Ryker rated it 5/5: If I could give them more than five stars I would, it’s clean, the washers & dryers are fast & efficient, the people who work here are nice and the place has a nostalgic feeling.. it’s cozy & you don’t feel bothered or rushed. (& this is what google considers busy I’m the only one in here..)
  • Christine Dizard rated it 5/5: Great machines and no wait but the nicest part was there are chairs and plenty of room to bring my kiddos in. There are also no weirdos around , not this time at least. I had seen this place many times when going to the Volvo dealership and my usual Laundromat was packed so I gave this place a try and I am happy I did.
  • Shelby Ryan rated it 5/5: super clean and im obsessed with the huge washers i can throw like 3 comforters in at once and they still get super clean. never had any issues with people so overall great place
  • Mno Jkl rated it 5/5: Friendly staff.

    Convenient location.

A great location to spot the controversial and endangered yet oh-so-coveted …

    –change machine–

    *gasp*

… With help of the Pay Range App/Service, all washers and dryers also have the option to pay with Credit/Debit or Pay Pal or….EBT Cash Card?

They also have a wash/fold service which I have never used anywhere ever, but it sure sounds nice, doesn't it?

Overall, it's about exactly what you've come to expect while doing laundry at a laundromat in the outskirts of the University District.

C-Me Garcia rated it 5/5: It's a very clean place with plenty of space to keep a safe distance from other people. Weekdays (Tuesday – Thursday) are the best options to avoid any possible crowds. Lots of other convenient businesses near by to run errands while clothes are safely locked in the washers. Maria the laundry attendant is super nice and very helpful. If she is not physically present there, she is"a phone call away" if a customer needs help.

  • Lia Vennes rated it 5/5: We had such a great experience here for some washable rugs we have that are too big for our home machine. The staff was so kind to my 4 year old and got him a stool and let him help feed the dollar bills and coins into the machines. They were helpful in figuring out the right machines to use for my rugs too. 10/10 service, my rugs are so clean now, and will come back again. Bring cash, no ATM. I had to leave and get more but that was my own fault. They were very patient and said they would watch my stuff while I went out since the machines were already loaded.

Helena's Cleaners is a reliable, affordable option for dry cleaning in the Seattle area. Customers appreciate the quick turnaround time and friendly staff. Some reviewers have noted that the prices have increased in recent years, but overall the quality of the service remains high.

Paige Kruse rated it 1/5: I had a vintage piece I needed dry cleaned, and after asking around it seemed like Helena’s was a safe option. I asked the staff if their process was fragile, and I was assured there would be no issue. I was told the manager would call if they didn’t think my item was safe.

When I picked up my item, there was a note on the ticket saying “broken zipper.” I (wrongly) assumed this meant they had found a broken zipper and repaired it. Instead, they ripped my garment in two different places near the zippers and had stained it in another. The employee did not acknowledge the note, so I ended up paying for Helena’s to damage and stain my clothes.

My roommate later brought a cashmere sweater to them that they ripped as well.

I’d avoid this location at all costs or hand wash your clothes. Truly disappointing experience.

  • The Dress Theory Seattle rated it 5/5: Helena’s team has been wonderful to work with! We bring store floor samples here, refer brides and bring our own apparel pieces here for cleaning – including our own team members’ wedding gowns! Great work, pricing, timelines and overall service provided by Helena’s!
  • Sarah Solomon rated it 5/5: Helena’s Cleaners went above and beyond getting a red wine stain out of my dress. I was so impressed with their professionalism, timeliness, and quality! I’ll be sure to use Helena’s from here on out, and definitely recommend them for stain removal
  • Nay S rated it 1/5: I used them to dry clean a rug that cost me thousands, over $6k. They sent it to a specialty rug cleaner. When I received my rug, it was ruined. It has large black marks all over the entire rug. My rug was in pristine condition before, it had no marks on it whatsoever – I just needed it cleaned because of allergies. I wish I never trusted them with my item and looked at their Yelp reviews. They did not care that they ruined my rug and did nothing to fix it – zero customer service. I'm absolutely devastated because this was my mom's rug and she passed away so it is irreplaceable. RUN AWAY.

Edit: I was told that they take 1 star reviews seriously and to reach out to the company – I've already spoken to managers about this and they do not care. They've since edited their response to me. The business refuses to accept responsibility. I am disabled, was recovering from surgeries on both wrists, and could not even lift the rug to inspect it within their 12 day time period which I repeatedly told them. Additionally, I needed movers to move the furniture to be able to lay this huge rug down. There are no other factors that could have damaged the rug – it was wrapped in Helena’s packaging the entire time until it was unraveled. This business ruined this expensive, irreplaceable rug and continues to dismiss it. Do NOT trust them with your items!

  • Gregory Copploe rated it 1/5: I have been going to this place for years. I find out today that if you have something pressed, the charge the same as having it dry cleaned. Well you might want to communicate that to the customer then. I had 1 suite, 1 pair black pants and 2 ties pressed at $104.95. Something is very wrong here, and I won't be back!!!!! There has to be someone else that will take my business and not charge me hundreds for a few pieces to be dry cleaned and pressed. How do they stay in business???? I just removed my tie and found a scratch on one of them. I can't even believe this. They used to be so good. My Giorgio Armani tie is ruined, and I never even got to wear it. I emailed the Manager and am waiting for an answer back as to what happened with this order.

  • Amanda Giordano rated it 1/5: Helena’s does a fine job but you absolutely can’t count on them and I would highly recommend thinking twice before sending anything of value to them. The drop off pick up service might be convenient but when I sent a large order of designer clothing I received only half of my order, excluding ALL of the designer items. This happened as soon as they transitioned to the individual plastic bags instead of hand bagging (before they offered this service). When we filed a complaint they pointed fingers at my building even though the cameras in the building didnt match up to the clothing scans they claim they do as they pick up and drop off so there clearly was a discrepancy. Instead of taking any accountability, they held firm they had time stamps (that clearly were wrong) and I lost several thousand dollars once all was said and done. Highly recommend going with another cleaner and please reach out if you have additional questions.

Sabin Dimitrov (Edinstvo) rated it 5/5: I absolutely love this laundromat. The atmosphere here is surprisingly welcoming and you don't have too many crazy people coming in. You can even strike up a wonderful conversation with your fellow laundry doers. The machines are always very well kept and they are great at making your clothing very clean. If you use the right detergent, your clothes will come out stunningly clean. They play good music overhead that is everyone friendly.

If you ever need to get your clothing done nice and quick, this place is where to go. They even have their own parking lot lot. Best part, you are next to a lot of cool businesses to waste your time at.

  • Carlo Gentile rated it 4/5: Clean. Small – relative to other laundromats I've used around the country, but typical size for Seattle. No public restrooms, no large sink, no attendant, no drop-off service. Coins, not cards. Bit tight in terms of folding space if you are doing large loads. Soap recommendations for oversize machines = great idea! Busier as it gets later in the day – especially on weekends. Drug store and supermarket nearby so you can run multiple errands if you're so inclined. Or just chill at one of several neighborhood coffee shops.
  • Sara Mae rated it 4/5: Good spot. App for laundry is lovely – don't need coins! Busy after 10am on a Saturday. No bathrooms but plenty of local coffee shops to grab a cheap drink and use the restroom nearby. Would be 5 star with bathroom and/or attendant. Unhoused person was napping between machines but did not disrupt anyone.
  • getsemani cortez rated it 1/5: Machine ate 5 dollars of my money and the service number is inoperable with No way of communicating with business owner.

    I do not recommend

  • New Jeruuz rated it 1/5: Only good thing is u dont need coins… but washers and dryers are old… to be honest… they need someone to keep them bumz out cuz it may stink in there! Tighten up

If you're looking for a no-frills laundromat in Seattle, Wedgwood Laundromat is the place for you. The reviews mention that it's clean, well-lit, and reasonably priced, and that the staff is friendly and helpful. There are a few complaints about the machines being old and not always working properly, but overall, reviewers seem to be happy with the experience.

Daniel Vanmeter rated it 2/5: So this laundromat isn't good. Good area, that's for sure. It was clean… yes.
But many things I disliked. There cheapest washer is like 4.00. but there big guy is only 7.00
They only have 2 rolling carts for your clothes. Its .50 for 3 min in the dryers.
And the machines only take either debit card or laundry card….. so the only 1 or 2 things that were good, doesn't out weigh the bad. 2 stars from me.

  • Luc M rated it 5/5: Overall a great laundry mat. A bit of a tight squeeze by the machines, but nothing unbearable.

Takes credit/debit card! Have never used it, but they have a machine to add cash to a card to use if you don't have a card to use.

Usually pretty busy in the evenings, so I would suggest going earlier in the day if you can. 2 big washers, 4 medium ones, and a bunch of small/home sized ones. Plenty of dryers, something like 16 or so. Small bar area to sit at with some magazines, right next to a couple of tables for folding. Laundry baskets available for use, washing detergent/dryer sheets/plastic laundry bags available for 75¢ from a vending machine (quarters needed).

Next door to a couple of cafes and all of a 5-minute walk away from a Rite-Aid (came in handy when I forgot my laundry pods one time!).

A little pricier than some coin-op laundromats, but I'm willing to pay extra for the convinience of using my card. 100% recommend!

  • Aurora Rivera rated it 5/5: This laundromat has card readers to operate the washers and dryers, and space available for folding laundry and bar style seating while you wait. You are able to use a sanitizing setting prior to using the washers for extra cleanliness! Overall this laundromat is clean, and the people that patron it are respectful of each other and the space. Prices for washer start at $4.25/load on the smallest load and $0.50/ 12 minutes on a dryer.
  • Dustin Yansberg rated it 4/5: Machines are fast and have great capacity. I was able to wash and dry in 1 hour the amount of clothes that would usually take me a whole day.

They don't have a ton of washers though — maybe 15 of them — and the place overall is quite small, so do anticipate being generous with sharing your personal space.

  • Anna Naumova rated it 1/5: Credit cards can be used in this laundry facility. First I thought it is convinient but it is actually not. Washer mashines need several card swipes with 25 cents increments. So, you finally lost count how much you paid for one wash. Dryer machines not always start even if you slide a credit card and the machine confirmed that transaction went through. I had to move wet clothes to other dryer that works ecen if I have paid fir the previous dryer. You have no idea how much you paid in total. I would not use this facility again for sure.

RE: Owner's responce stated that she/he spoke to the customer (me) on the phone. This is lie; nobody called and discussed the landromat issue with me. Therefore, I am changeing the rating of this facility from original two stars to one star. Just for lie.
