Edwin Ferguson rated it 1/5: The attendant on duty Saturday afternoon July 23 intentionally ripped my debit card off for $12 while pretending to assist me.She also declined to dry clean my clothes telling me that they did not provide that service with no reason. Stay away bad place to wash your clothes.

  • wild rice rated it 3/5: I've been coming here for about a year and a half or so. It's an okay laundromat but throughout that time the number of machines that are out of order on a given day has gone steadily up. This makes it hard to find available machines as it's not a huge place place to begin with.

If you use the smaller (normal-sized) dryers, you have to watch them like a hawk because every five to ten minutes they will just stop working and give a flashing error code. You just have to restart it and it will go for another 5 -10. This can easily double the amount of time it takes to dry your clothes (if you're not watching actively) and the cost as well. That has been happening since I've started coming here, so I always try to use the larger dryers if possible but a lot of them are reserved for staff.

As for positives, they have some comfortable couches to sit on and the bathroom is usually clean.

I mainly come here since it's close to me but without having the core basics like being able to reliably wash and dry my clothes I'll probably start looking to find a new place.

  • Terry Coleman rated it 2/5: The photos are nice and must have been when it first opened. There are a LOT of machines BUT it seems almost half of them are broken or reserved for staff. Looking for a dryer was the worst. Very little individual seating and very few laundry carts to use. There is people's left behind bags and stuff all over the tops of the machines. Also doesn't have any standard washing machines, it all bigger load machines
  • timothy rooney rated it 2/5: I went in and asked the worker if they could give me quarters for the 8 dollars of dimes and nickels I had, she told me that there were quarters machines on the wall, I proceeded to say to her that I only had the change. Told me that she could not give me the quarters so I could do my laundry. Really! So I had to return home to bring my dirty laundry into my apartment. I had been to this laundromat several times in the past. I will not return to this laundromat in the future. Absolutely ridiculous how this was handled. I guess being a honorable veteran with high standards should expect something like this in today's world. Always try to accommodate your customers as best as you can. Thanks again. Lol 🇺🇲

Torry rated it 5/5: I am so thankful to have found this laundromat and to have met James. I was going to another place and it had become unsafe. My boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try after driving by so many in the neighborhood. When I first walked in James the attendant was so nice and very helpful. He greeted me with a smile and asked if I needed anything he was there. He keeps the place really nice and clean, I love his music and he’s always there helping me. I really like coming here talking with him and I feel safe. He continues to be nice and greet with a smile and the place is always clean and the machines are always working. I can’t say enough about him and the laundromat. Very nice and I am thankful.

Thank you
Torry

  • K U rated it 5/5: This might honestly be my new go-to laundromat. I was wary of going for the longest time because of the pre-injected detergent but with new management this is no longer the case. Spacious, clean, friendly attendants, open late (last load 10pm), wasn't too noisy when I went, and everyone was masked. The dryers don't get as hot as some dryers I've had at other laundromats but still gets the job done.

  • Shawna Dowdy rated it 5/5: I love this place! Especially when you have A Lot of clothes to wash! The largest compacity washers hold 8 full size loads and cost $9.50. I can fit multiple comforters in one as well as wash all the laundry (for a large family) in one go! The dryers actually get hot and give you a realistic amount of time, 30 mins for $1.50. It's always clean and the doors lock automatically after 10 p.m. It's the only place where I feel safe washing by myself at night. Plus the attending I met, Stanley was really attentive to the establishment, kind and respectful to everyone.
    Seriously, love this place!
  • Sharon Rousseau rated it 4/5: There are many machines and every time I’m there they are all in working order. ATM, bill/coin exchange machines always work. Attendants are present but it’s hit or miss. They are VERY nice and helpful and keep it clean. Be aware Bathroom is locked when no attendant there. Clean, plenty of rolling baskets & folding tables, good air circulation (heat and AC). Maybe 8 or 9 parking places in smallish lot. 4 stars (and this IS NOT their fault) because the roaming homeless/addicted people are heavy presence outside and sometimes inside. Not the greatest area. I had to call cops once – quite scary fight erupted, 4 drunk high men. One also walked up on and touched a female customer. So this definitely affects experience. Usually it’s just normal people minding own biz and doing laundry. The building is for sale so I don’t know their future. I’ll continue to go here unless I find a close-by safer alternative. If there is one more incident I won’t go back.
  • Joseph Stegall rated it 2/5: This place was decent back before they got bought out. The machines took cards. Detergent was included in the wash. And there were always attendants here to make sure the place was clean and kept the riff raft out. They even had coffee and a small free popcorn station to eat while you waited. Now it’s completely different. The machines only take quarters now and the prices increased. There are hardly attendants present so the crazy’s are always coming in or hanging out right outside the doors, and it doesn’t look as clean and organized as before, although one of the original workers are still here and she’s great. It’s really nothing like it was before. As soon as I find something close to me that’s a little better, I won’t be coming back.

  • Robby Webb rated it 3/5: So the hours listed on Google maps said opens at 7. I called the numbers listed just to make sure. Over the phone I'm told the laundromat opens at 6:30 on the weekend. It also says it on the building. So could someone explain why I'm currently sitting in my truck at 6:40 with the windows fogged up. I gave them 3 stars because the washers and dryers look nice. Maybe they'll get more stars when I can actually go inside and use them.

Jen Dimov rated it 3/5: I would have preferred, like, 80% less being expected to hold a conversation, and also 100% less of the TV blaring. But the people here seem nice and the laundry got laundered in a reasonable period of time for a very reasonable price.

  • Butch Magnum rated it 5/5: Washing machines are fast and the drying is free. Clean floors and clean machines, this is a hip place.
  • Sydney Hallett rated it 5/5: Extremely awesome and kind staff, such a great experience for a laundromat. Would definitely recommend for anybody getting laundry done!
  • Monica Ward rated it 4/5: The most expensive laundromat I've ever been to in my life. Top loaders are $3.75 and front loaders start at $5.50. There's free drying so that's helpful. A lot of machines were down, but there were still plenty to use. Came on a Saturday morning at about 7:30am and it was still pretty empty. They offer drop off service and last wash is 90min before closing time. It's clean, the staff member was extremely helpful and the place didn't smell which is a plus, just wish they weren't so expensive.
  • wild rice rated it 4/5: This was a nice laundromat. I looked here at Google Maps and found they tend to be strangely not busy at all on Saturdays and that turned out to be true. It definitely has an old-fashioned vibe. That can be charming in a way, however the deal-breaker for me is that they don't accept cards. I have coin-operated machines in my apartment building, the only reason I go to laundromats is it's 2022 and I don't want to deal with coins or cash. I realize now that the laundromats I've been going to were the exception and most laundromats are still stuck in last century when it comes to payment, but it's a must-have for me.

I definitely pick this laundromat over any other laundromat! if I can give them a thousand plus plus plus stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐(etc.) I totally would!! They deserve way more credit than what they get. I definitely recommend others to visit, despite what people may say about the unsafe area because I tell you what I've been so safe there whether it's morning time or super late at night I've never had a problem and they seem to care more than just the regular laundromats else where. They don't just provide service they provide forever lasting hearting warming moments and words of encouragement and wisdom. They Always leave me with perfectly clean, warm clothes and a super warming smile !

Lauren Brunk rated it 5/5: So glad the laundromat that I usually go to was closed, that’s how I stumbled across this place. The owner is absolutely wonderful! He was so helpful, I had my youngest with me and my hands quite full, he offered to help me get all my laundry out to my car.
They have a arcade racing game, tv, two snack machines, restrooms and staff that is out of this world. I will never be going back to the other laundromat, Wishy Washy is where I’ll be going from now on.

  • Jessica K rated it 5/5: This building is pretty run down but the machines are newer and always work. The washers hold very large loads and cost 11 quarters to run it's 25 minute cycle ($2.75). The dryers are huge and it costs 1 quarter for 7 mins. You won't need more than 28 mins in these dryers ($1). All the machines are very quick and efficient.
The thing I like most about this laundromat is that there is always an attendant here. It's not your typical laundromat. She seems very nice and there is even a drop off service. Shell do your laundry for you (same day). Although I don't know the exact cost for the drop off service, I've noticed quite a few people utilize it & there is a large scale they use to weigh the clothes. So obviously it goes off the weight of your laundry. One gentleman brought in a large mesh bag containing some clothes and a large comforter. It cost him about $17 to utilize the drop off service. And She uses yellow rubber gloves when handling your dirty clothes.
There are 3 change machines here although 2 we're out of order when I last visited. There's also a TV in the lounge area.
  • Ebony Navarrete rated it 5/5: Went here for the first time on a Wednesday morning at 6am. Completely empty! Had the whole place to myself. There is plenty of parking and plenty of washers and dryers. Washers are anywhere from $2.75 to $5. There are two type of Dryers. Bigger ones are a quarter for 5 mins and regular load size dryers are a quarter for 7 mins. They have drop off laundry as well. They have vending machines and two arcade games. They do have vending machines for change, laundry bags and washing goods as well. There is a nice sitting area with table and chairs in front of a nice size and loud tv. Very relaxed experience! Will be returning. The attendant was very nice as well!

Tony Mowatt rated it 5/5: Great laundromat! Kind attendant met me outside with a cart for my bag and helped me in. There is no ATM, but there are change machines and a couple vending machines. There is a bathroom, but no Wi-Fi (at least none that I found). Drying is free, but you need to babysit it because you can only do 10 minutes at a time and press the button to start again. Washers range from about $4.75 to $8ish I think. I don’t remember the exact prices. Overall, a great place.

  • Justine B rated it 5/5: Great little laundromat! Super friendly staff, clean machines, and space. Conveniently located and offers free dryer Fridays! ATM out front, change machines inside, and vending machine for wash and dry products. Would highly recommend if you need to get those comforters washed for winter holidays.
  • Shay Tucker Bah rated it 5/5: No matter where I live on the planet I prefer doing my laundry at a laundromat. First, it’s just easier to get it all done at once, and machines at laundromats are more efficient and better for environment. West End Laundromat is quickly becoming my fave laundry “haunt” in the whole wide world. It’s conveniently located on bus line near restaurants and Schnucks. The attendants are polite and helpful. If they see you coming with your laundry they hold the door open. It’s always clean, and the dryers are free. It’s busy quite often which shows it’s a fave laundry spot for many. I have never had a problem finding a washer or dryer to use though.
  • Latasha Walls rated it 5/5: It's not ghetto and that's a plus for me🤣 My clothes get clean and dry what else can I say🤷🏿‍♀️ Stop by see for yourself.
  • Chris Bartley rated it 3/5: It's conveniently located close to my home, it got my King sized comforter clean.
    VERY small and congested

  • Kevin Childers rated it 4/5: There is an attendant on duty and lots of working washers and dryers. A little extra for the washer, but dryer is free. Vending machines and restroom on site. Burger King right next door. Free WIFi. Extended hours 7 to 11, Last load 10:00. Lots of table space for sorting and folding. As well as a tables to sit and watch TV or what have whole yor clothes get clean.
  • Jimmy Conway rated it 4/5: It's a nice laundromat there on Chippewa next door to Burger King, which has a restroom, snack machines, and usually at least one employee on site. All the machines and dryers appear to be clean and in good working order. The prices are a little bit higher on washing machines, but the free dryers makes up for it. The only way I can see to get another star is for them to be open 24 hours.
  • Adrian Wilkerson rated it 3/5: I gave it three stars because I have never been in I’ve always just walked past What it look like a nice clean place
  • Jeffrey Schenk rated it 3/5: I've been using this laundromat since 2013 when I lived up the street. It's well maintained you can use their dryers to drag your wet clothes for $1.50 which is very reasonable. They don't have a ATM there though you have to go to QT for that. The upside is there's a Burger King right next door yay.

WashU is an excellent school with a beautiful campus, great academics, and amazing opportunities. The students and faculty are incredibly intelligent and passionate, and the school provides ample opportunities for students to get involved and explore their interests. The only downside is the cost of attendance, but WashU is definitely worth the investment.

Karen Lynn Keil (Karebare) rated it 2/5: A little pricey on machines and products for laundry they do offer where you can drop your clothes off or dry cleaning the washer clothes or do your dry-cleaning where you can come and wash it

  • Kurtis White rated it 4/5: Clean convenient spot to do laundry. Large variety of sizes and Temps for laundry. I haven't been too very many laundry mats it is about. $7 for a large wash and dry. I feel thus is fair.
  • BreakingRigsby Stl rated it 4/5: Its never fun going to the laundrymat but if you have to do it, might as well do it at Wash U. The place is clean, usually pretty empty when you go in the evening and they have plenty of washers and dryers that you can do all of your loads at the same time. Theres even a bar and grill next door so you can grab some food while you wait.
  • Jim Hart rated it 3/5: Not much water flow in big washers for 3.25 extra wash selection…nobody here until 10a.m.-2p.m. bathroom is always locked…if you have any problems you have to come back the next day…not cool!!! When traveling and it being right off to major highways ..DUHHH….
  • L Ove rated it 2/5: The laundromat is clean. However, the doors lock before the closing time and there is no one there to let you in. I was waiting in my car one evening and went to get my clothes around ten. I couldn't get my clothes until the next morning. This happened a few weeks ago and the doors locked before ten thirty. I couldn't get anyone on the phone, I got up early to rush there in the morning to get my clothes.
