I scheduled a free estimate, and with my permission the man came by during th day while I was at work. I told him when I'd be unavailable, and unfortunately he called when I was unavailable. I called the office 2x not realizing I had a voicemail. I was texted yesterday by the man who came out, and I was trying to communicate with him until he stopped responding to me. I would love to know how and how much a service would cost and to obtain this answer in a timely and professional manner. So far, that hasn't happened.

Their newer hires can sometimes miss things but that can always be fixed with experience. If I think something was missed or needs redone, their services come with a warranty and it is very easy to call and reschedule for them to come back. Their customer service reps are very polite and helpful too.
I would highly recommend Jerry or Austin C, and I want them for all of my service appointments! They are my favorites and are not just superb at their job, but also are very courteous, and love my dogs.
Hawx also uses pet friendly products and I also get delta dust around my deck that can deter carpenter bees (and other pests) instead of killing them, which is so beneficial to saving our pollinators.

The representative (Mark Priest) installed a rat poison trap and did not secure the box properly. The box also was not labeled as to what poison was inside, although it was indicated that the box should be labeled for safety purposes. The night that it was installed, my dog got into the unlocked rat poison box and ingested 4 pellets of rat poison, causing the need for an expensive emergency vet visit. We also had my young niece and nephew at our house that same day and they could have easily gotten into the box. This company needs to put forth better safety precautions and provide education to their employees on how to properly label and secure all pest control boxes so that this does not happen to another animal or a child in the future. In addition to this incident, I was told upon my initial consultation that the company provides foundation sealant for mice and attic rodent control treatment. However, when Mark arrived to my house, he stated that the company does not provide these services and that he can not go on a ladder into the attic. Upon reading other reviews of this company, it seems as if Hawx Pest Control services engages in routine deceptive practice and offers services that will not be performed. I will be contacting them on Monday for a cancellation and refund.

Fred Flarsky rated it 1/5: We were forced to use and pay for their services because the they got my wife, who has terminal cancer and is often confused, to sign a contract. She didn’t even remember signing up for service and when I tried to cancel the service they said they had done services for us at a discounted rate. To break the contract they convinced a sick person to sign, I had to pay full price for their services that had been completed. Found out they had tried to get rid of ants in my kitchen that only kept getting worse until the weather changed and they stopped because weather turned cold. For trying to get rid of ants that they didn’t get rid of, I have to pay $250.
I should get an attorney but that costs $250 or more to do. So I guess I’ll just have to pay it but I wouldn’t recommend that anyone else work with Hawx Pest Control because of the character of the company is something that just makes me sad they would take advantage of sick people to further their business. I asked if they treat the elderly like this when I was on the phone with them and the guy on the phone had no response.

This is just a good example that you should check reviews, get copies of business licenses and really make sure you get referrals from family and friends before using a company. Please don’t use this company or trust them with your family.

They would schedule the appointment and I would have to call them to see when the appointment was scheduled. Finally got it to a day I was available! Had my cabinets cleaned out ready to go and they called and cancelled the morning of!!! I understand people get sick but when big appointments are scheduled and you’ve went back and forth for a month to make an appointment work it’s very infuriating to have the appointment cancelled with no sort of remorse or even plan other than we can try next week?

I called Terminix on a Saturday afternoon and was assured they knew about the pests we were having problems with (Springtails). We had an appointment schedule for the following Tuesday between 10am and 12pm. No one showed. Tuesday at 1pm I called and was told that my appointment was dropped; not canceled, not rescheduled, just dropped. We were then rescheduled for Saturday from 10am to 12pm. This happen to be a birthday, but we were so concerned with the bugs that we waited around all day and no technician showed up. I called again at 1pm and was told “oh yeah, the technician Ivan was assigned and was probably just running late.” At 3:30pm I called again, they told me they were trying to call Ivan and he was not answering his phone and his voicemail was full. I was told to call back at 4pm and they would try to contact Ivan’s manager, Jeff Chase. I called just after 4pm and again, no one was able to reach Ivan. I was assured, however, that Jeff would call me, and his Regional Director would call me to investigate this situation and get me service as soon as possible. As you can imagine, I received no calls, no texts, no emails from Jeff or anyone. Saturday was a horrible day that we waited at the house all day and evening and canceled plans. Monday (today) I have called twice so far. The first call, after being on hold for 28 minutes and told numerous times that they were going to resolve this and get a manager on the phone, the young lady simply hung up on me. I called right back, connected to another representative and was now told that Tim and/or John, Jeff’s boss, will call me back. Do you think that happened? Nope. So I have to ask, is Ivan the only technician in all of Indianapolis? If I have called numerous times on Saturday and Monday and no one can reach Ivan, is he dead? Is he laying in a ditch somewhere? Would not someone from Terminix be concerned and try and track him down, find out why his employer cannot contact him, call his previous clients for the day and ask if he indeed showed up? I can understand if you are short staffed but at least have the decency to contact me to follow up.

Terminix has some positive reviews. I have no idea how those reviews can be accurate. I cannot stress how disorganized this company is and how they lack in customer service, accountability, follow up and basic services in general. Following my first call, they certainly charged my credit card right away but still I have had no service or communication other than me trying to chase these guys.

Please DO NOT waste your time and DO NOT call this company at all. Once their corporate HQ investigates these local branches, if they even will, MAYBE they can become a reputable company again. Until then, STAY AWAY!!

p.s. I am still willing to chat Jeff, Tim or John. The ball is in your court, but I am done chasing you and your team. I think it equally sad you won’t even contact me to discuss this situation.

The Alterra sales rep was very informative and patient with answering the questions I posed. We signed up for service and our Alterra "service professional" Jordan C. arrived on time (actually within the first 10-15 minutes of our time range) and was extremely courteous and informative. He reiterated much of what had been explained by our sales rep and explained where he would be performing his work and what to expect. Prior to leaving, he went over what he did, where certain elements were and explained what to look for over the next week or two so that we could better determine if a follow-up (complementary) service would be warranted prior to the next service visit. Lauren Kiser rated it 5/5: When we moved into our home, we had problems with mice. Cabinets smelled, poop was in the insulation, etc. One month, aka one treatment, and they were gone! We have kept up with monthly treatments and no issues with mice since, thank God.

Every single tech who has come out to us is VERY professional and friendly, polite, and happy to help in any way they can. We have had them do things with hornets, wasps, ants, spiders… any time I need them to come out, they will. In fact, they usually come early! And they always call, text, and I have a paper flyer with my monthly service dates.

I truly cannot recommend them enough. We renovated our kitchen and I am so relieved to know mice won't destroy those too!

They are honest, and will NOT try to rip you off (i.e. tell you your house has termites, when it doesn't, and then try to sale you an expensive plan. I experienced with another company.) There have been a couple times ants have come into our house between the quarterly services. But since we're under contract, we're able to get a technician to do a treatment within a day or two of calling at no extra charge. The costumer service representatives are always super friendly. I highly recommend Black Diamond Pest Control.

Today, Jeridan, was very professional, listened to where I have seen spiders and then did a great job spraying. Service was excellent. When I called to pay my bill, Payton, was very courteous and nice. Both these employees definitely understand how to treat a customers. Black Diamond rates 100% in customer service!!
Lauren Kiser rated it 5/5: When we moved into our home, we had problems with mice. Cabinets smelled, poop was in the insulation, etc. One month, aka one treatment, and they were gone! We have kept up with monthly treatments and no issues with mice since, thank God.
Every single tech who has come out to us is VERY professional and friendly, polite, and happy to help in any way they can. We have had them do things with hornets, wasps, ants, spiders… any time I need them to come out, they will. In fact, they usually come early! And they always call, text, and I have a paper flyer with my monthly service dates.

I truly cannot recommend them enough. We renovated our kitchen and I am so relieved to know mice won't destroy those too!

He treated our property inside and out for ants and explained thoroughly how it works and it is safe for our pet. Price was great and we felt he genuinely cared and wants to help. Mr. Kendall wasn’t able pick up when I called, his VM says to leave a message and he’ll call back. He did call back same day and he was able to squeeze in a quick inspection same day. I’m guessing this fast of service may not be normal, but I feel I won the great service lottery. Very happy.
