The person that installed the bait system accidentally drilled through our irrigation line and wiring which of course required repair. We let them know that there is damage and were told that Orkin would repair any damage done to irrigation system. We asked Orkin to get the system repaired but it was taking them too long so we had it done and sent the invoice to Orkin. Our termite treatment and system damage was done in May. They billed us and received payment as soon as the treatment was completed. It is now mid July and we still have not received reimbursement from Orkin despite several inquires and phone calls, we are told it takes awhile to process. This is unacceptable. Not only were we not anticipating a huge bill to treat for termites, we did not expect to pay for fixing our irrigation system. With that being said, the individuals that inspected for termites and treated our property were nice and professional. Accidents happen. But the customer service for getting issues resolved is not acceptable in our experience.

At best it's not gotten any worse, but frankly we're not seeing results worth the cost they charge. Orkin is the second exterminator service we've used, and have yet to find a good reliable pest control service that gets the job done.
Ring0 rated it 2/5: I was concerned after finding several black widows around my house that my newly walking baby would get bitten. After calling around for rates, Orkin had the best deal. On the phone I was told the first visit was $260 and then it would be $39 each time they came out after that; was told they came out QUARTERLY. Initial visit went well, the agent was kind and listened to our concerns and checked out our problem areas. We didn't see any more spiders. My rating is missing stars due to the fact that communication with this company is terrible! I was being charged monthly $39/mo, the first time I noticed the charge, no one had even come out to spray (I work from home). I guess they come out monthly which is not what I was told by the phone agent when getting a quote, this drastically increased the overall cost. They don't let us know before they come out. I never received a bill, contract, or email receipt until today. I couldn't even log in to my account online because I was never given my account #. Today an agent actually left us a paper invoice and I was able to cancel service. Again when I explained the error in communication, the phone agent who cancelled my service explained the payment and amount of time they come out differently. STEER CLEAR! And if you have to use them, GET A PAPER CONTRACT AND ACCOUNT NUMBER AT THE FIRST VISIT.

After several months he got promoted and things changed. I got a service person that has not been acceptable to me. I've thought him to be rude. After attempting to foster a better relationship with this man on 3 different occasions and After sadly believing this relationship is doomed to never get better, I called the company to request a different service person on a permanent basis. Julie on the phone was professional, knowledgeable and very nice. She spoke with the supervisor, got another person approved to come to my home and we made an appointment! People are not always great, or maybe certain people just clash for whatever reason… But the company is very accommodating and makes me feel like a valued customer. With employees like Julie and the supervisor, I expect to stay a customer forever!

I signed up for their quarterly spraying at my home. the initial charge, I was told is 150 to start, and after the first quarer it is supposed to bill 39 dollars each quarter. I have so far since September 27th been charged 150, 39, and they tried to charge me again yesterday for the 39 dollar quarterly fee.besides the issue with billing, customer service explanations, and the tech, there is another issue I have is the tech left puddles of spray around my home in front of my fridge in my pantry etc.. 2 stars they do show when they say but I feel as though im being taken advantage of in this instance.

They placed sticky traps in garage, under sinks and one in livingroom. I saw the mouse run into a bedroom…where there were no sticky traps placed. I called the next day and asked for more sticky traps. I was told they tried to reach the local manager but was not successful. The person I spoke with said she sent an email to 3 people and listed their names. I did not hear from them that day which was Monday. This is Thursday and I still haven't heard from them. Late Monday afternoon I went to hardware store and bought nearly $50 in supplies. Today I caught the mouse in the sticky traps (that I bought) in the bedroom that I saw it run into. I am paying a monthly fee and had to buy my own supplies??? I really don't know how to rate the service.

However, I had three different appointments (before Aaron) and no one showed up nor did they call. It was very frustrating. Finally I had an appointment with Aaron and he was exceptional.

They came to spray my house and my yard. 3 weeks after the treatment I called to get my house sprayed again because the situation had not even remotely begun to improve. I called them 3 times to come back and each time they just sent someone over to talk to me about the fleas. I scheduled a treatment for a Saturday and instead they decided to come on a Thursday when I was busy. Got fed up with their dodgy behavior and unwillingness to help so I’ve been spraying myself and the situation is quickly improving. If you want to save a ton of money just research and do the work yourself.

I want to report what I feel are unfair business practices against Alta Pest Control Company. They charged me a regular quarterly fee in early September. Later that month I received a letter in the mail stating that they were going to start billing monthly. Then in early October they charged me the monthly fee. I asked about what about the quarterly three months I had already pad and they stated that was some kind of maintenance fee?? When I asked for a refund of the October charge they stated that they won’t refund it because they told us by mail that they would be starting monthly billing. I still haven’t had anyone spray for the last 4 months? Ugh, sorry it’s so long, I’m really frustrated?

The first phone call went really well, and I was excited for the appointment that we had scheduled. Whenever the appointment date arrived, my tech came out and was extremely nice but could not do anything because they had failed to send me instructions saying that I needed to have everything off my counters and out of my kitchen in order to be sprayed, so my tech decided that it would be best to just reschedule. So I waited to make the next appointment because I wasn’t available while I was working and I set a following appointment for a few weeks later. I called to schedule the appointment but no one answered so I left a voicemail. Not only did they schedule me my appointment for the next morning at 8 am but they didn’t even as me if I was available at that time nor did they confirm the appointment with me at all. And so I try to reschedule but it’s too late and of course they are not answering their calls so I don’t get through to them. The next morning, the tech arrives but we’re unable to do anything yet again because I was given less than 12 HOURS notice before the scheduled appointment that they didn’t even ask if it worked with me or confirm with me. So at this point I’m a little upset. But then to top it all off, I log into the portal and realized I had been charged $250 for the initial visit + 45 for a roach treatment and an additional 250 for the following visit and a 45 dollar roach charge. So now I’m very upset. Not only has this company failed to get rid of the problems that I’m having, they have charged me well over 500+ for the services that I never received. I have called and left voicemails, I have emailed, and no one has contacted me once. I’m hoping for a refund, but so far no one has tried emailing me to come to any help. All I want is the roach treatment plan cancelled and a refund on the money that I spent that was used to help nothing at all. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. UPDATE: Now they are asking for $299 more from me for canceling. I’m at a loss for words for how incredibly terrible this company is. Hopefully people can read this review and save themselves the time/money that I didn’t. Truly terrible place.

I like that they call ahead of time and let me know how far out they are. They send text and email reminders for recurring appointments so I don’t need to go out of my way to schedule. And they ask if there are any focus areas inside that need more spray than the rest. Also want to mention their spray products and mouse traps are pet friendly! This company is fantastic, they know what they’re doing and do it very very well. I will only be using them. Do yourself a favor and give them a try!!!

Misty Breed rated it 1/5: This is going to be a long one. This past summer I had issues with gophers in my yard. The young man that came out the first time said that he talked with his boss and they were going to smoke them out and then come back every 2 months for treatment, but it would take 12 months to rid me of the gophers. Since this was my first time with the issues I believed him. Big mistake! After the first "treatment" the gophers got worse so I asked them to come out earlier. They did and I continued not to see an improvement. The receipt would say they were treating for ants and grubs, and since this was my first time dealing with the issue I assumed that they were taking care of the problem and I just didn't understand the billing. Why would they be treating for insects when I had contacted them about gophers. Finally in November (way too long, I know) I called and asked why it kept saying insects when my issues was with gophers I was told it was inputted wrong. Someone came out and treated for gophers and the receipt said rodents. I thought everything was fixed, until this week when they came out again and sprayed for ants and grubs. When I called them I was told that the rodent treatment was a one time thing. That isn't what I was told when I got the service and why did it take them MONTHS to do the service I asked them to do. I was told a manager would call me. Guess what, that didn't happen. Sorry for the novel, but I wouldn't use this service if you want to get the service you asked for. I obviously did not read my contract well enough. Don't make the same mistake I did!

He stayed late to get the job done. Would you want someone that runs though the job? He handled everything with care. I got to tell you, I am calling them from now on! I thought it important to leave a review for anybody that would need the services Of a pest extermination and control company that goes above and beyond to Satisfying a customer. They service my entire Community of over 200 tenants. Initial appointment was pushed back 1.5hrs, no big deal was apologized to very polite upon arrival. I did have to keep reaching out to get a report done but was emailed 3days after equipment was placed. Then we needed a trap replaced as it was kicked up by a mower was promised to have it replaced via text+ phone call and scheduled a time to have that done 3x no call no shows, sold the house and gave the new owners all his contact information but a month later still no response nor replacement.

Our service was started the following day by Rico and Byron, who were very responsive and knowledgeable about the service they were about to perform.

They sprayed every room in the house and even put a dust in the attic that kills spiders. I will definitely use them again. They did a wonderfully professional job. We can rest easier now. I bought a property and soon found out it was infested with those little demons. I couldn’t even go outside without a ton of preparation. Martina was super helpful and scheduled my appointment. The technician was very friendly and professional. I had an event spray done to knock out as much as possible. I can happily say I have not been bit at all since they sprayed. I’ve even been able to go outside with shorts and short sleeves on. I wouldn’t even think of doing that before the spray. I am very pleased with their service and will be a customer for life.

Charlie came out within the hour to help my mom as she could not utilize her main bathroom in her home. He not only sprayed for the mosquito's, he also found the root of the problem, a leak in her toilet. He was so kind and very professional.
