  • Tanner Hughes rated it 5/5: We are very happy to be owners of a Kayak Pool! We have the 16×24 end deck above ground pool. We have enjoyed this pool as well as the low maintenance filtration system. We have also been quite pleased with the solar cover maintaining a comfortable water temp this season. We feel our family and pets are safe too with the nice deck, fence and gate system. We recommend this company and product to help you create your backyard oasis.

  • Michael Odeh rated it 4/5: We have recently had a pool installed with Kayak Pools Midwest. With the supply chain issues the pool was delayed for quite sometime. Also, due to weather issues, our pool install was also delayed for several weeks. We were able to get the pool installed last week. Once the install began, it did seem like the pool installation company was in a hurry to install the pool. In their rush they did quite a bit of damage to our backyard. Upon contacting Kayak, Jose in the customer service department was incredibly helpful. He was able to assist in a positive resolution to the damage done to our yard. The pool itself is fantastic! We have been able to enjoy the pool and we are looking forward to the rest of the season and the seasons to come.
  • Christy King-Mcnamee rated it 2/5: I wish i could say that I've had fabulous service. We've had ongoing issues since May of this year. We only ordered a liner install with other components to be replaced as they were old. Still functional yes but in need of replacement. Once our supplies arrived the first time, the installers came out and worked all day doing the prep work. The installers were a good group of people. At the end when it was time to finally put in the liner. The darn thing was to big. It said the correct size on the box but the liner was clearly a different size. The installer called Kayak (Shawn) or Shawna I believe. At first, the talk about was next day air or having the new one shipped out to the house immediately, where they would also pick up the incorrect liner. After a few weeks of NO COMMUNICATION I contacted Jose and the installers. Jose told me he would look into it, but he never called me back. The installers however did but they asked me if it was shipped out yet? I told the installers that I had not heard one thing from Kayak. I was worried as my inner walls of my pool had already been exposed for weeks. I had back surgery in May so I'm not able to do a lot of things at the moment until November. When the installers left their original day they did ask me if i wished for it to be covered back up but we were thinking it would be replaced soon and they would be back out -so my answer was "no".
August 18th comes, the day the installers informed us that they were Picking up the new liner and heading my way sometime later in the day. Great! Fabulous! I was at home all day and not working that day AGAIN to allow them to come and finish the job. At 5:30pm the installers call and state they weren't able to get the liner from the warehouse. All they could do was apologize. I called JOSE who then told me that they've had problems with the warehouses not allowing people to enter. They rent warehouse space and clearance wasn't given for them to enter etc etc. He stated it happens a lot to them. I told Jose I wanted to speak with someone higher up and he stated he would get the manager. I was on hold for 18 minutes. I hung up and called back three times in which Jose finally picked up and apologized again "that he was speaking to his boss about the situation" Jose stated that they are working on and to allow them to work something out and they would give me a call back.
I don't typically like to complain, I've been pretty understanding about the whole situation. However, there comes a time when people need to accept responsibility and right the wrong in a timely manner. We have had no access and my pool has been laying bare and open with numerous storms that have passed. Still with no LINER. All the prep work that was completed by the installers has dang near fallen down (the tape work, padding) and I wonder how much damage or water log has happened to my interior walls. I actually feel bad for the installers as they will have to come back out and redo all their original prep work before they can even place the correct liner. We are paying a substantial amount of money for the supplies and the labor for what we thought was going to be the best experience since our pool is in fact a Kayak Pool.
You would exceptional customer service when dealing with any department of a corporation that has been around for as long as Kayak has been around. I don't want anything free, I just really want my pool repaired and to be functional again.
I would really appreciate a call from the owner or someone higher up. Communication has been lacking and I just want this rectified with assurance that our interior walls are still okay.
The pictures below are pictures taken today. This is how it has sat for over a month.
  • Brian Ballard rated it 2/5: We put a Kayak pool in in 2020. Everything was great at first, even with delays that we expected during Covid. We talked to Kayak in the spring and didn't really hear much until our pool went in in November. About a month after the pool went in the back wall buckled and started sloping down (common thing with Kayak pools). We reached out to Kayak about the issue and delayed our contractor until the spring to do the patio pavers around the pool. Kayak never reached out so we went ahead with the contractor work because he had other projects coming up. We left the 2 ft surround hollow underneath so we could do repairs at some point. Our contractor tried to hide the "curve and slope" the best he could (see picture). The pool holds water and operates fine but the 2 ft surround is bouncy and of course the back wall is curved and slopes down. Can't even put a small basketball hoop there because it wants to slide into the water.

Have reached out to Kayak multiple times since then only to be left hanging. Phone messages and emails no longer get returned. I was told somebody would contact me to come out to my house in two weeks in April of 2022 but that never happened.

We are just looking for the "fix" for the pool. We spent 80K plus in the backyard with the pool, landscaping, pavers, new fence (not in picture), pergola etc and everything looks awesome except the crooked pool. It's actually kind of embarrassing. The back wall bowed well within the warranty and it should be fixed. Our contractor hated the work they did putting in the pool.

We are just looking for the fix and move forward. I am sure there are good people that work at Kayak but this has been disappointing.

  • Bob Carver rated it 5/5: As always the Pools of Fun team was great. Starting with Janet in the service department. She was able to locate a new heater for us and had us on the schedule the next day. The technicians arrived on time and went straight to work. Lee was friendly and had the job done within the hour. It's so nice to count on such a great company, Thank you.
  • Jeani Schultz rated it 5/5: Adam did a great job closing our pool. He is very knowledgeable about all the equipment and seems very thorough. I’d work with him anytime on pool questions and operations.
  • Brandy Brock rated it 5/5: Adam and the other technician did a great job. They were both very professional and knowledgeable about the pool and answered all of my questions. Definitely made closing easier.

  • Lynne Ralph rated it 4/5: I was told the pool closure was a blow out of the lines only for $385. To have the cover put on, the fee was over $500 per the personI who scheduled the appointment. When Adam came today, he told my husband the covering of the pool was included in the $385 with us filling the water tubes prior. There would have been an additional fee if they were to cover the pool and fill the tubes today. My husband declined. Adam did a good job. I can't blame him for Customer service not advising of correct information. I would give Adam 5 stars and Customer service 3 stars. So, I will give a final 4 stars. L.R.

Jim Hayes rated it 5/5: Perma pool was a pleasure to work . From ordering a new liner to reopen my pool. Since my pool is a much older pool we had no idea what shape or condition it would be once the old liner was removed. Needless to say the condition of the pool was not in the best shape . Perma pool went beyond my expectations to restore it. It took alittle more time but I am very pleased with the final outcome. Thanks to Perma pool for the enjoyment of the pool.I would like to thank Dan and his staff for work I received on my pool. I would highly recommend them for your pool needs.

  • Ranaye Miles rated it 5/5: Perma Pools are FANTASTIC! I purchased a pool right before COVID hit. Although installation was delayed (No fault of Perma), they continued to update me about the status. Every person I met during the entire process were friendly and professional. I will say Mark taught me so much about pools (first time for me) and was PATIENT! He took the time teach me how to make it easier to clean a pool. He educated me on so many things and SHOWED me, as he realized I was a visual learner! Dan is great too! He is VERY responsive with returning emails. I have ZERO complaints or what I think can be improved. If you want a pool-ORDER EARLY!! I also give Perma permission to give out my phone number to anyone wanting to speak about my experience.

  • Amber Kincaid rated it 5/5: Perms pools created our favorite place. Our backyard is now our family’s oasis and we couldn’t be happier. We didn’t really feel like there were too many surprises or anything in the process. The one thing I might suggest is using your own concrete people instead of using their vendors. If you know someone/have someone in mind, go for that.

Neal, Ed, Virgil, Ross, Mark, Doug, Greg, George, Ron and Daniel have all been fantastic to work with. The team is super responsive, and has helped us even after the final check was delivered. Neal has gone above and beyond with repairs or just showing us what to do. Our dig team was amazing and hilarious. We installed a fiberglass pool so it’s one giant piece and our family was basically sitting their with popcorn watching them work. They took a bow when it was finally in the ground.

Thanks again guys! We LOVE the finished product.

  • Neal Weliever rated it 5/5: First off I want to say I’m an employee and a customer. I discovered Perma Pools two years ago shopping for a pool. I walked into the showroom and Dan Majestic welcomed me and we started talking about our family dream. We hit it off so well I approached him about possibly working there. In short order I was on the perma team. They have treated me like family from day one. Great company to work with as an employee and a customer.

After my wife “the boss” politely nudged me enough I pulled the trigger. The Perma team helped me every step of the way. We are so happy with how it turned out. THANKS DAN THE MAN!!!!

  • Rosanne Stover rated it 5/5: We love our pool! Everyone was helpful and responsive to any questions and concerns. Ron and Ed gave a thorough presentation regarding all the products and options available as well as making sure everything was the way we wanted before install. Doug, Greg, George did an awesome job digging and installing the fiberglass pool as well as the plumbing. They were nice and answered my numerous questions. Doug did an amazing job running the excavator with such precision. Aaron Sr and Aaron Jr did a great job installing the cover. Mark, Ross and Neal were very helpful and thorough with doing all the final touches as well as teaching us about our equipment and pool maintenance. Wayne is a master at rough grading as well as hand-digging to bury our downspouts where we wanted them. He even offered suggestions on improvements in our backyard to make it less soggy and more useful. I can't say enough about how helpful and patient he is. Everyone was great to work with and would recommend them to anyone who is interested in getting a pool!

  • Richard Gibson rated it 5/5: Had a hot tub that died, and searched Greater Indy for someone willing and able to fix it. Only Pate's was willing to take a look at it. Russell found the problem after quite an extensive search; it was a huge effort just to move the thing into a position from which he could open the access plate. And the contortions he had to put himself into, to reach, remove and replace the bad heater element! Oy.
He did it all with easy confidence and a "no big deal" attitude. It's been fine ever since.
Pate's services our hot tub and our pool. They're punctual and professional. I've not had a problem since. And all of the service staff, especially Lori, are the nicest people you could deal with

    I'm a big fan of Pate's

  • Carrie Keeley rated it 5/5: We lived in Indy for a couple years in a wonderful home that came with a beautiful pool and spa- having never been pool owners, we needed a company that would teach us and help service our pool. The co we had the first summer did not, so we switched to Pate's and they have been great! Lori is very quick to respond to emails and explain what is going on. Russell who handled the major parts issues (the pool was 10+ yrs old and so things started to wear out, as they will on anything) always found options for us, and responded quickly. A couple times we had issues with chemicals being 'off' in the pool, the staff were always ready to help out and make the situation better. Much of Covid we were stuck in MA, and they had no issue continuing to help us out while we were away. We have sold the house and moved permanently to MA, but have highly recommended Pate's to the new family for future service. Thanks, Lori, Russell and all for all you did for us!!!
  • Tammy Vermillion rated it 5/5: These people are wonderful. The talented gentleman were polite and kind. They worked very hard in the hot and sticky weather. Because they worked so hard, our pool was finished early! We get to enjoy it for the holiday! This is a top notch business that does high quality work. I highly recommend them! 5 stars!!!

Roger Underwood rated it 1/5: Had a really bad experience after Mudslingers installed our pool. 3 years after install we developed a crack about 10 feet long on one side of the pool. After 15 different attempts to get help, no one ever showed up. They tried to get a sub contractor to come look but never happened. 2 years later all the tile fell off one side of the wall. I begged them to come look and they blamed freeze/thaw damage. I hired a structural engineer and he agreed but not because of my fault, Mudslingers never caulked the expansion joint which allowed water behind the tile and caused the damage. Of course they take zero responsibility for anything. All 4 companies I had estimate the repairs could not believe the expansion joint was never caulked. I even paid for a 3rd party structural engineer who gave me a report stating the same. Very poor workmanship and about the worst service after the sale I have experienced. I spent a total of $12,500 to repair both the tile and have the pool re plastered.

  • Matt Duncan rated it 5/5: We could not be happier with our Mudslingers experience. They made our vision for a unique gunite pool, a reality. It was clear each of the tradesman took serious pride in their work. We LOVE our pool. Thank you!
  • Eric Quebbeman rated it 5/5: Mudslingers installed our pool late fall of 2020/spring 2021. Communication is consistently great, and they have always been very helpful with pool troubleshooting over the past year and a half. We noticed a tear in the liner when they finished the install in the spring of 2021 (due to winter weather) and Kim quickly patched it as a temporary fix then warrantied and replaced the liner within a couple weeks. Kim has always been great getting pool levels in line when they get out of balance and making sure the our pool features are properly working (fixed a pool light with bad connection and cleaned out our salt cell when water levels were out of wack). All in all, Kim has been great to work with from start to finish (along with annual upkeep maintenance) and I would highly recommend!!!
  • Renee Sertich rated it 5/5: We used Mudslingers in the Spring of 2022 for a Fiberglass pool install. They had great customer service! Kept in touch consistently with any updates, or workers coming to the house, and finished the pool in awesome time! We would recommend them when looking for someone to install your pool, or help with your pool needs.

As soon as you give them your “big check” for your down payment on your pool everything changes. Our fountains were installed crooked. They took no responsibility. if you ask to speak to the owner you will be told no. You will be told you can send an email only and maybe someone will get back to you. They charge $375 an hour for a service call which is nearly twice the industry standard. Awful!

  • LaDonna Dunlap rated it 5/5: This is my 3rd pool and I am very happy with Barton Pool Co. They diagnosed a problem I was having that other companies couldn't find. They have replaced my liner and chlorinator. I use their opening and closing services and this year their weekly pool service. The weekly service has made pool ownership so easy and stress free and my pool has stayed beautiful all summer. The staff are knowledgeable and professional, from office staff to service staff. Highly recommend.
  • Rob Qualls rated it 5/5: I retained Barton Pool Company after 9-years of dealing with an incompetent company who installed our 9' X 11' swim spa. We have been experiencing leaks due to cracks in the spa and only had use of the spa 3 out of 9 years! The inground spa was losing as much as 2" per day in water, making the spa impossible to use. Barton Pool Company repaired our spa and we have now enjoyed the spa, without any water loss, for a month. I would highly recommend using Barton Pool Company, Kris and Mike are absolutely the best, very good communication and response time.
  • Danielle Casselman rated it 3/5: Worked with Barton in April 2018. Extensive repairs needed, as previous owners self made a pool of metal we discovered (!?). New concrete walls and plaster placed, with new tile and coping. The cost was significant and we felt confident in the team and initially beautiful. However, starting in 2020-2021, the plaster began to erode, leaving a blue color beneath and then concrete. Despite close monitoring of the chemicals and balancing, they advised this must be our fault and warranty honors all work only for 1 year, and would not stand by their work. We are now needing to fully repair the inside of the pool and plaster 4 years later. Plaster specialist locally states he is quite perplexed at the work and states it was not done correctly, there is a blue layer beneath the white which is not standard or advised. The cost is quite significant, yet again.
Barton’s team was great to work with at the time, and created a truly wonderful pool, but would not stand by their work just a couple years after. We have another very large bill we had hoped wouldn’t be needed for quite some time. Would not recommend for any plaster/in ground work specifically. Advise finding a true specialist for your pool if this is the kind you have.
  • Brittney Frick rated it 1/5: We we're out of town and needed the pool cleaned. I called around requesting info regarding a full service pool cleaning and Barton Pool's seemed like a solid option. I ended up moving forward with them and scheduled the service for Tuesday, 6.18.

I followed up with them via email the day of to make sure they had everything they needed and how to get in the backyard. They we're pleasant and told me they would add those notes to the appointment. I had our neighbor go check the pool on Wednesday (6.19) afternoon to see if it was cleaned–it was still green. I waited for a couple of days to hear anything or receive a confirmation of sorts, as I assumed they were busy.

I ended up having to have our neighbor go over again that Friday, 6.21, into our backyard and check the pool–it was still green and I hadn't heard anything from Barton Pool's. I ended up calling the office manager over the weekend (as her cell phone is in her email signature) to try and get a hold of someone–no one has called me back. I ended up moving forward with another company.

Customer service is SO important to drum up recurring business–this company is not familiar with the term. I would not recommend.

The quote was very reasonable and Gabriel and his team went above and beyond. Not only did the work exceed my expectations but the team also identified some additional problem areas that I was not aware of. They worked long hard hours to get the job done well ahead of schedule and I am super thrilled with the results. I can strongly recommend this company! Kent K.

Ann Goss rated it 5/5: I am very pleased with the Leslie's location on Keystone Avenue in Indianapolis. We took our Polaris Pool sweep in because the wheel had fallen off. Ten days later i returned to the store to pick up the pool sweep. The store representative told us the Polaris sweep had been thrown away by error. They had mistaken our sweep with one that had been in for service over 6 months ago and nobody had picked it up so it was discarded. I returned to the store today and was pleased they offered me a new Polaris to make up for the mistake. Things happen, but when the company goes the extra distance to make it right they will always get 5 stars from me and i will tell others about my positive experience. Wish i could give them more than 5 stars. Leslie's has a customer for life. Thank you.

  • Tolga Ercan rated it 5/5: Very helpful folks here! They help carry stuff to the car and know their products pretty well. No idea if price is good or not but you get coupons for $5 off from time to time and they seem to always have the chemicals I need at a somewhat convenient location (except when Keystone is under construction). I even buy some pool toys here which are frequently on sale. Overall, my go to pool supply location in mid town as there aren't too many locations for this stuff.
  • H. Yee rated it 4/5: Have been to this location sporadically for years but oddly don't recollect ever using them to test pool water. Have bought chemicals and sometimes pool accessories/parts. The personnel are usually helpful.
  • mark otis rated it 3/5: The guy seems rude there. Told me that bigger filter is not good. If you read and search online then you know that bigger sand filter is better. Not sure about their knowledge. Hopefully other Leslie
locations are more friendly to customers

  • Melissa Slater rated it 5/5: I cannot speak highly enough of Pyle's Pools. I needed a pool inspection report before purchasing a home and quickly. I swear to you, I must have called every Pool repair/maintenance/installation/anything in all of Indianapolis and no one could help me – especially with it being Winterization Season. Pyle's Pools was responsive and courteous – I got connected with the nicest lady named Tina for assistance. We were able to schedule next day. Their guys were extremely helpful and nice. I am a total novice and know nothing about pools – They were able to describe the equipment to me and give their expert opinion. I received my report via email within the hour. Once our home purchase is successful, I will 100% be using Pyle's for any pool needs. Thank you for helping this stressed out gal! I'm eternally grateful.

  • Hunter Cooljay rated it 1/5: Based off the reviews it looks like this place is in need of help. I applied here they set up a interview after doing a phone interview. Everything was set and ready to go even took off a day at work from my 2nd job when they called and said well thanks but we're not hiring anymore ? 🙃 the people in the office seem verry out of date and with all the options for more professional pool services in Indianapolis area I think you better think twice before handing this place over money. Some great pool companies are Family Leisure Indianapolis, pro service plus (actually have had them work on my parents verry professional) or Scott's pools. Take care and make the wise decision to avoid this mess. God bless.
  • Brandi Watts rated it 1/5: Paying for pool service thru my rental property and the service is horrible. They came out and removed the pool cover and dumped the wet leaves and debris in the yard from the pool cover, pump doesn't work, pool very dirty from last year. Was told they would replace the pump, it's been over two weeks pool still uncovered and when I call and speak to Tina she's very rude and unprofessional with no since of urgency. DO NOT CALL FOR POOL SERVICE!!!
  • Sakura Buckland rated it 1/5: This pool company apparently employees lifeguards @ our neighborhood pool. Last month my two children ages 12 and 13 got into an altercation @ the pool with an 18 year old lifeguard about my 18year old daughter. This life guard called my daughter multiple derogatory names on top off calling my daughter to initiate a fight . ( because drama from school)
Upon calling management or the owner if you will I was assured this would be handled so my kids could swim and feel safe because also this lifeguards older friend called my son a “faggot” for jumping off the diving bored wrong 😑
Well… almost a month later I had to call back to see if this was taken care of and guess what…. She’s still employed and apparently because she’s been an employee for years she’s able to speak and do as she pleases .
This is extremely unprofessional and really disgusting . As a business owner myself I would NEVER allow this kind of bullying to happen.
I do not recommend this company and unfortunately I will not be going to our neighborhood pool anymore because as a parent who would!?!?
I’ll be telling all my clients this story and will avoid this business as all cost

julie gerard rated it 1/5: Diversified pool installed an automatic pool cover on our in-ground pool years ago. Since then, a small hinged part had come loose on one side, so I called to make an appointment for them to come out to fix it because we were unable to open the cover. Their office called me back to set the appointment for Friday afternoon, and I had asked them to let me know exactly what time on Friday, because I would be at work. They said they would call me first thing Friday morning to let me know.

Friday morning, instead of calling, they just showed up right when I was getting ready to leave for work.

When they arrived, they said I needed more water in the pool before they could service the cover. But instead of just leaving, they started removing the cover quickly though, so I went back inside to finish getting ready. I was shocked when he called me a few minutes later to say they were done for now and were charging me $155, but I felt better when he told me it would also be for the return trip. I wish I'd had my call recorder on…They were there maybe 10-15 minutes.

So, after returning home from work, I had a water truck come and fill the pool, then opened, vacuumed and shocked the pool and Diversified back, because I wanted to be able to close the cover. Then they said they wouldn't be out until the following Monday to repair and service the cover, so here I'd just went to all the bother to clean the pool only to have to leave it uncovered for the weekend. Side note; They had also left without putting the large 25' metal cover back where it went, so I had to jump over it and over the underground trench (where it was supposed to be) numerous times while opening the pool.

When they came out that Monday, they were out there approximately 20 minutes when they called and said they were finished, and that it would be another $135!

When I reminded him that he'd told me the initial $155 was for that trip too, he denied it, so after going back and forth with him and getting nowhere, I paid them anyway, but I will NEVER use them again for any pool service. We paid them a total of $290 for about 35 minutes over two trips and I'm pretty sure they didn't even have to provide any parts, or if they did, they didn't say. I've heard there's another pool cover company on Shadeland, so thank God there are other companies out there, because I'm done with this one.

  • Angie Therber rated it 5/5: Diversified has offered personal, prompt attention for scheduling service, account inquiries, and anything else we need. We were new to pool ownership and maintenance when we bought our house 5 years ago. The company the previous owners had used was not helpful and seemed to try to financially gauge us because we had no idea yet about what pool maintenance was about. The second company we tried was the same. Pete and the staff at Diversified have educated us, helped us choose the most economical plan for maintaining our pool, and been professional and personable. Diversified helped us ease into pool ownership financially and educationally. Now that we are better able to afford adding accessories and more elaborate projects for our pool, we can reward the honesty and professionalism of Diversified by giving them more business and spreading the good word!
  • Brass Tax rated it 5/5: Brent and Mark were here installing our new automatic pool cover. Finished in three hours. Great service and total gentlemen. Thanks DPP!
  • Brian Mosey rated it 5/5: Diversified Pools installed my new liner within 2 1/2 weeks of my initial call. I was very impressed with their service and attention to detail.

The new liner looks great and I highly recommend Pete and his entire team.
