  • Shari Bender rated it 5/5: I contacted Aqua Masters in a bit of a panic. My house was for sale and my existing pool service company just up and quit. I had an open house in two days and I needed the pool to look gorgeous. I contacted them on Thursday evening and left all my details. I asked them to please try and service the pool the following morning before the brokers open house and once again for Sunday’s open house. I told them I would need their services until the house sold. They sent me everything I needed via email and they completely took over and made sure everything looked amazing and worked properly. They continued to service the pool weekly, and did an incredible job. It was such a relief having them on board and it was one less thing I had to worry about. It was a huge burden off my shoulders and while they were not the cheapest, they were worth every penny. I referred them to the new owner and I would use them again in a heartbeat. Thank you Aqua Masters!

The service tech was professional and cleaned up after himself so that it looked better after he left than when he got there! There was a mistake on the invoice that was caught by Richard and he immediately made a price adjustment to reflect said mistake. I would recommend them to anyone with pool needs

They quoted me a $275 for jacuzzi cleaning — ended up charging me not on a PER JOB basis but PER HOUR — $550. They wanted to charge another $275 on top of that but said they would waive it as a customer service courtesy. First appt they came, but then left without telling me without doing the service… second appt they came and did a decent job, but broke the hot tub cover. Upon invoicing, they tack on a 3% credit card fee / or a 1% check cashing fee. I get the CC fee but never heard of a check cashing fee. Watch out.

They were extremely responsive, got it fixed right and fixed fast, gave me a bunch of useful info on re-configuring the system and maintaining it for optimal performance, and were a pleasure to work with. All this at a very reasonable and transparent price, as well. I will be using them for all of my future equipment maintenance needs. Shout out to Victor in particular for his speed and professionalism!

Their fist job was to bring an old inoperable system back to life and they have maintained it ever since. OP&SS's prices are always fair, and extra work that is not needed is never suggested. It's always a pleasure to call Tai, because I know he will come out address any problem quickly professionally.

    Just yesterday, he came out and once again repaired my 30 year old spa heater. It's now working great! If you have any issues with your spa or pool feel confident in calling OP&SS.

  • Paul F rated it 1/5: DISHONEST. Here is a list of issues that happened after I hired this company:

    1. Supposedly could not come by at the scheduled time because the pool cleaner could not open the gate. The gardener uses this same gate with the same code 3 times per week.

    2. Claimed that spa was being cleaned/maintained weekly (I paid extra for this). Never happened. I have video footage from each visit where the maintenance guy went straight to the pool and left without ever even going to the spa.

    3. Tried to get me to pay $1395 to replace my filter and grids, claiming equipment was "old and rebuilt". I just had both (and pump) replaced within the past year.

    4. Most importantly, this company added 4X times the correct amount of conditioner to my pool (44lbs in 6 months) which was extremely damaging. Too much conditioner decreases sanitation and blocks the effect of chlorine altogether. It is almost impossible to fix once too much conditioner has been added. The only real solution is to drain the pool.

    Putting too much conditioner in my pool was the final straw and I switched companies at that point. My entire pool turned green with algae.

    At my expense, I had to drain my entire pool and do a chlorine wash to remove the algae that resulted from the excessive conditioner they added.

    DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE "FRIENDLY" CUSTOMER SERVICE, THIS IS A DISHONEST COMPANY…YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

There are numerous components of our pool's systems that were either installed improperly or not installed at all. Mr. Kirby is unwilling to even acknowledge any mistakes, let alone remedy them. He actively avoids making good on his commitments. His latest tactic to is avoid even picking up the phone. In short, he is not an honorable businessman in our experience. You have many options on the Peninsula. Avoid Kirby Pools at all costs.

    I had a problem where my spa was tripping the breaker. I kid you not, for five weeks I had four different people look at it, including a general contractor, electrician, of course my pool guy, which I replaced and had another pool guy weigh in. No one could figure it out. Finally I found Pool Joe, he came out and figured out what was wrong immediately. Fixed it and was in and out in a half hour, reasonable price. Unlike so many other workers, Joe cleaned up after he was done, and to top it off made sure I locked the gate behind him. After five weeks of everyone else being stumped, I finally got my spa back. He followed up a week later by phone to be sure it was still working. Sounds like some reviews were by people who may have experienced his service at a bad time, maybe he got too busy or had family issues, you never know. But this guy knows his stuff and is super professional. Highly recommend.

  • Constance Beverly rated it 1/5: Please do not use the service. I don't think it really exist. I called sergio back several times before he even answered the phone. I told him that my hot tub still had some dirt at the bottom. His reply was is it still a heating, and working I said yes but it's dirty. The nerves to get smart. He said that he was gonna call me and also get back with me by Saturday. He did want me to be satisfied. I'm upset with myself For not reviewing the reviews first. He even tried to change me extra for filling the hot tub with my own water. Don't use this service.
  • Art ist rated it 1/5: Unfortunately I cannot recommend him. I want to start by saying that Sergio was friendly and seemed very knowledgeable at first. I was having an emergency and as I requested a quote Yelp must have shared the request and he was the first to reply (I thought he was a different company with 7 positive reviews). He came right away and fixed the problem within a couple of days. Then he kept asking me to write him a good review, which I didn't have a chance to do until now. I prepaid him $125 for pool maintenance for the month of May then he disappeared. He only came once during the month (after I reminded him) and haven't communicated with me since. I texted requesting my money back. I hope he is honest and will return it.

After you buy a new home, one of the first orders of business was to re-plaster our pool so that the kids could immediately begin enjoying their new home experience. After speaking with a couple of pool repair specialists, I found that Mister Poolman not only gave me a very reasonable price, but he was an expert in all pool-related matters not just re-plastering and tile cleaning. He inspected my heater, filter, pumps, etc. If something needed replacing or fixing, he explained the significance and provided me with options. Not once did I feel that he was selling me on his services. His work and attitude spoke volumes. I would recommend Mister Poolman to anyone who is experiencing issues with their pool and related equipment.
