The team was professional, very clean and you could tell they take pride in their work. They explained everything since this wasn't a simple patch job and they really took the time to make sure all leaks were resolved as they were performing the repairs. Then they told me that the rate was $220 per hour (gasp) and I asked if they were here for a half hour would it be $110. They said yes. The guy gets here, the first thing they tried to do is sell me a new cover. I said I really just wanted it to close properly. It closed at an angel. So he started working on it and less than 30 minutes later, told me he put some new rollers in, but it didn’t fix it. So it was $3200 to replace the cover. I said I’d think about it. He said the office would contact me. I eventually got an e mail charging my card $268.50. I called and they basically said too bad, that’s p the way it is.
No matter how bad I need pool cover service it wont be witness unethical crooks.

Kelly rated it 5/5: We’ve been wronged by 2 pool cos. The first one left a piece of our Vac-mate in the skimmer line during hook up & never said a word. We began having water flow issues & didn’t know why. We ended up firing this company for an unrelated issue – they couldn’t maintain our water, turning our pool purple & blue!
The 2nd co. did ok with water maintenance, but kept insisting our water flow issues were caused by old & faulty equipment, despite the fact that our filter was only halfway through its life & the pump was only 3 years old! They promised to troubleshoot the water flow, but unknown to us, ultimately had neither the desire nor the capability to fulfill their promise & just wanted to sell us a shiny, new filter & pump. As non-experts, we didn’t have much of a choice but to trust when they said there was nothing wrong with the skimmer line.

Long story short, after installation of new equipment, we still had water flow issues.

ProTouch to the rescue. I talked with Kevin, the owner, who was 100% transparent about their capabilities, and assured me they would either be able to help us out, or make sure they handed us off to someone who could. Lance from ProTouch found the problem right away (the stuck piece was visible) & took the time, & effort to dislodge the tightly stuck plastic piece from the skimmer line.

Please call ProTouch if you need help! Integrity is everything! They are trustworthy, patient & helpful!

I purchased a house with an older pool, hot tub, and natural rock formation fountains and Keven spent an incredible amount of time inspecting each feature to ensure it worked properly and advised on how to fix items that didn’t work. Guatay Partners rated it 1/5: Very disappointed with Discount Pool Supply. Bought a $4000 RayPak heater from them 18 months ago and has been nothing but problems. My complaint id the not the heater but when I called Discount Pool Supple to order a park they were rude and unhelpful. I called up another pool company and within 10 minutes they were able to find the part I needed and ordered it for me. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE…
LIZ rated it 1/5: Discount Pools sent us to a Collection Agency for an unnecessary, UNAUTHORIZED Salt Cell Diagnostic charge. Additionally, they didn't provide any results for this bogus money grab. I called many times, Josh told us "to not worry about it, ignore it" and he would talk to the billing department. This headache has been going on for approximately 6 months. Totally unprofessional and they are money grabbing shysters. Beware!
Update: The owner, Kyle, was kind enough to respond immediately to our problem. He apologized and assured us he would take care if it, and it should never of happened. My outstanding credit would not be effected. It sure is a relief to have this issue taken care of. He also comped us a free month of pool cleaning service. Thank you Kyle.

Payan pools has phenomenal, top notch customer service from the front office to their technicians. My pool filter of over 15 years finally had it's last stand. They came out and replaced the pool heater and the pool filter and walked me through the maintenance, how to use, and thoroughly answered all of my questions (and I had a lot). Mike and Rene were the installers and both were very friendly and knowledgeable. I had just as good as an experience with the front office folks working out the logistics. They were able to work around MY schedule which is very rare these days. Kris and Tiffany were amazing and very helpful. They don't miss anything. Payan pools is the only company I would call for any pool related issues. Top notch service and customer support.

Over the last 8 months it seems my person has been the same one. He is very polite, professional and thorough in treating my pool. Chris takes the time in the summer to do everything for our pool. The Winter schedule is different and he again works hard and does all
the things I have asked of him to make sure the pool is clean and clear. He shares with me the Cyanuric acid levels with me when I ask and keeping that down has kept the deep dark blue I like from our grey bottom color. Other service providers did poor jobs or didn’t take the job because it was a grey bottom. I have the Delux plan in the summer and maintenance plan in the fall. So far very happy with my pool service.

He also lied about what the product (a test kit) actually tests for. These people don't know about caring for pools and certainly don't want you as a repeat customer.

Pools need maintenance and they have always given great advice and service. From pool pumps to cleaners, filter, and everyday day items salt, acid, etc.. come visit these guys and keep small businesses open.
Sharlene Thompson rated it 5/5: I have been a customer of swimquip for more than 10 years. Rebuilt motor, pool sweep, chemicals, filter cleaning and pool & pool solar repairs. Victor, the owner, and his partner are both well experienced and able to explain issues and solutions well. One partner works on rebuilding equipment, while the other works in the field with clients, they also have a PT staff person who works in the store. I am well aware from Victor of supply chain issues and how some products have skyrocketed in price and some items arrive only randomly. I appreciate how well they have continued to take care of our pool needs despite these unusual times.

Prior to finding this store, I went to the other store-chains and was told that I needed more chemicals for various conditions. Folks, not true. Your pool needs Chlorine, Acid and a Chlorine stabilizer on a limited basis. Also, filling your pool with good water helps too! A good filter system that is easy to maintain is a plus with regular cleaning.

Finally, I went away from Tablets to just plain bulk Chlorine and Acid. You save lots of hard cold cash during the summer season! These guys know what they know and will tell you when they do not know. Best to all!

Mark Richards rated it 1/5: I have been buying pool supplier here for years, but today, Swimquip lost my business by charging me more than $75 for 2 replacement vacuum tires that can be purchased on-line from $16-$42 the pair. Shame on you.

About every 10 years we have a new liner because it’s a vinyl pool we went from having the original owner, and now his son, Andrew. This time we added a step to make it easier to get out of the pool. Scott Widmann rated it 2/5: Convinced my parents to purchase a replacement pool liner when the existing one was not even broken yet, it was old and we had patched it several times, but was still functioning fine and was not leaking. Also went through to do a "leak detection test" which did not source any issues with the piping which is where the leak actually was at the skimmers, then went forward with pumping all of the water into the sewer instead of the storm drain. Some states say no chlorine in the storm drains, this was relatively low chlorine levels and I don't see anything on the county website saying not to.
I'm sure the liner will look nice.

Note – installing plywood or OSB as underlayment for a pool is guaranteed to rot. Why pool fabricators use wood instead of another material is beyond me when sheetmetal or standard plastic panels, or even recycled plastic panels are readily available. There are a variety of other sheathing options including fiberglass (denslgass, glasrok, etc.) that do not rot or even stainless sheetmetal although the cost would be about 2x-3x higher with what would amount to close to a lifetime warranty if coated as well.

Don't install wood underground tight to the dirt, it's stupid and don't tell people to replace their liner because there is a leak when you have not checked the pipes for one.
