The connection cuts in and out a lot.

The real reason for even having to call though? They have the habit of not picking up your trash if it's near a holiday because they forget to come down your street or just decide not to. They put out a holiday schedule but don't stick to it. I called several times this week and they assure me that it will be taken care of but it still hasn't and now we're coming up on the next weeks pickup time which is again a holiday. If I end up with no trash pick up again I'm switching services. Other waste companies were able to complete their route. It's pretty ridiculous that Rumpke can't.

They always put my can neatly in place not like others who will leave it in the street or thrower side ways in the yard! I have one who sees me and waves and places my can back up in front of the garage, now that’s great service!!

I’ve asked to talk with a supervisor and was advised that a work order was needed and that was a week ago with no call. My yard waste has been sitting in front of my home for over two weeks. The bags have been rained on multiple times so I’m sure they’re not in good shape. I have an HOA that is going to start fining me for having this in front of my house. They are expensive, customer service is terrible, and the service is poor.

UPDATE: I spoke to a manager on Thursday who told me that it would be taken care of and how it was unacceptable. They still haven’t shown up….

They missed Friday, so safe to say that at a complex of 200 units, the trash was full. I waited all weekend with trash in my apartment because I didn’t want to add to the issue. We hoped to see them the next service day, yesterday, and even called to ensure they were still planning on picking up. After assuring they’d be here by 12:10 yesterday, no show at all. Trash still sitting in my apartment. We get to today and after 3 pretty angry calls to their terrible customer service department, we finally see a truck on the property. Yay! Or so we thought. Waste Management refuses to send someone out to pick up the mess that was made due to their error, saying that drivers will not pick up trash outside of the cans (I mean cool, so send someone who will?). The driver put the cans back down on top of trash bags, threw trash EVERYWHERE while he was dumping them, and refused to even look in my direction when I went to ask him what was up. Customer service was rude and less than accommodating. This is THE worst waste company you could possibly pick.

They keep saying it will be picked up on a certain day or within 24-48 hours and they don’t show. They have been saying for 2 weeks now that they will come and replace the old cracked bins from the previous home owners and they don’t do that either. Then when you call to check on the bins they keeps saying 25-48 more hours. Not a good way to start out with a new company. Unfortunately this company is required by the HOA otherwise I would cancel services and find a new company.

James Higdon rated it 1/5: WM's service delivery has cascaded in this market recently, and it is important for Louisville residents to know before settling on their waste provider. Frustrations like ending weekly yard waste pickup without a reduction in fee and the seemingly random pickup dates are forgivable; this most recent one is not.
WM sent multiple text notifications clearly stating that the Sunday holidays (Christmas and New Year's) will NOT disrupt weekly pickup, which is on Mondays for me. I hauled regular and Christmas garbage to the street, and placed all containers neatly at the edge of the snow line (we had minor snow and freezing temps three days prior to pickup date). By Tuesday afternoon, I called WM, and after my fourth attempt to reach someone in my region, was told that the crew bypassed my home after considering the snow to be an impediment. While they clearly just didn't want to put in the effort, even if I cede that was a judgement call, the coup de grace was that the customer service agent AND their supervisor said they cannot and will not send a crew at any time between the call and regular service NEXT Monday.

When I attempted to cancel service, they said that I am paid through February, and they will not offer refunds.

It is not that the crew just outright failed on my specific home when EVERY other house on the street got service from different providers, but that customer service had neither the imagination or willingness to rectify the failure.
Juan Quiroz rated it 1/5: Do not get their services, I am currently waiting for my trash to be picked up, I have 4 weeks worth of trash sitting on my front lawn and it makes my house look like a big dirty trash house, I attempted to call multiple times but their waiting is about an hour and half, I can't get a hold of anyone I am trying to cancel services with them and they charge soo much for services I haven't received, I never had any issues with other competitors even if it's a holiday week my trash would be picked up the next day, or if it's bad weather they will still pick it up the next day. I dont care if I have to pay a little more as long as I am provided with the services I am paying for.

-Missed service
-Late service
-No communication
-Poor customer service
-75 minute wait times to cancel your service
-Refusing credits for missed service because of driver safety issues while Rumpke, Hometown, and Republic had no issues.

There was an entire 850 sq.ft. two bedroom apartment of belongings that the guys seemed to pack up in less than one hour and they sweep all the floors behind themselves to boot, talk about exceptional service. The driver called before showing up on site and had no trouble understanding where I needed the dumpster placed. I cannot say this enough. They are dreadful. They do not know how to pick up on a regular basis. They do not know how to sit the dumpster back in the corral. If they do get it in the corral, they knock the fence down in the process.

We notified them3 different times were were not happy, in writing mind you. Nothing changed. Non-regular pick ups, dumpsters sitting in the street, fences knocked over.

Then we gave notice. They now have been notified by an attorney and THEY WILL NOT PICK UP THEIR DUMPSTERS. We are going to end up in court with these jokers. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN.

DO NOT USE THEM. This company is a joke.

We also use their recycling service (which I think everyone should do) which has also been great! Anytime we need a large item removed, we simply call and let them know and set it out with the weekly can pickup and the driver will get it loaded up! Very happy with the service and we would highly recommend!

Ky40291MJ rated it 1/5: Its difficult to rate a garbage removal business that you have to call to have them pickup weekly removal then when they do they leave garbage all over your driveway. Will be looking for a new garbage removal place shortly. Shotty work honestly.
Edit: we will be stopping our service as once again my trash is all over my drive way. I guess 180k veiws on my picture and review weren't enough to get their attention and fix this issue whatever the driver has with my trash. Oh well. Buh-bye!!!
isabelle strader rated it 1/5: The company has no actual knowledge on the locations they service . Worst company I've ever had the pleasure of wasting my time. Signed up for service in December . Dropped on can next day . Never picked up trash for 3 weeks . I called every week to make sure they were still coming , which they replied they were . They NEVER did . Called yet again and had to request a supervisor because I was told the same response as the weeks before ( never ever showed ) so 3 weeks on trash piled up when service was paid in full. My address is outside their limits . As a company you should know that . 10/10 would NOT recommend.

Showed up at 4:55 and they closed window right when I was pulling up, mind you they say they close at 5:00. Even the guys in the yard were confused, smh just change the time to 4:55 so no one else will waste their time.
mckinze ross rated it 1/5: Amber lied seeing where we previously purchased a garbage can and did have the phone on hold so I heard every cuss word and the laughing,I admit I been over this whole ordeal of getting our can replaced that the pick up guys let fall in the back of the truck and be crushed, but we paid for it when we move there now it's well we don't see a purchase and it's a single family home , you can only have one trash can
