During the process I had a question on one of the instruction, I called and spoke with someone who answered the question satisfactorily and then also received an email answering the question with essentially the same information (what are the chances of that).

(please forgive me if I caught your name incorrectly). She was just a pleasure to speak with this morning. I called in to speak with someone in regards to rates as Republic has went sky rocket & something I am not able to afford anymore. Although I am not quite a senior, she did mention SR Rates & I just want you all to know she is so patient, kind, and understanding. She went above and beyond and I can appreciate you all having someone like her to answer the phones. Republic customer service has been HORRIBLE since I started with them and it is just delightful to call somewhere and a live person answer. Thank you again. I will be switching to Teds after my billing is up with Republic. Thank you again for your kind phone service!

Checked our their website for rates on trash and recycling and corresponded with their staff via email regarding switching over both services. I canceled my Republic service first at their recommendation then headed to their office to setup service. When I got there I was told I can start trash service but new recycling pick up is not available right now, I found that odd because neither their website nor our email conversations mentioned this. They did offer to put me on a wait list, but when I inquired about the likely wait I was told not anytime soon as they have no intent to add more recycling trucks and the wait list is already very long. Luckily I was able to reverse my cancelation with Republic. Excellent job pushing away the business of those trying to reduce the waste going to landfills.

Every time it comes due they cancel service and pick up my dumpsters. Every time I call I'm scolded by their customer service, she wouldn't stop talking for long enough for me to speak. This time her excuse was that the mail must have lost my bill every time for a year now. Then she said I didn't get my bill because my phone number was wrong. They missed my trash about 6 times recently, and missed my recycling 4 weeks in a row. She claimed it was for nonpayment, which I paid 3 weeks ago. She said I was sent to collections. For a service you pay in advance for. And that just because I don't get a bill that doesn't mean I don't owe them money. Then she said she was going to help me but because i was not accepting her excuses that she wouldn't. I was sitting with my credit card in hand trying to use their company but she made the decision to use a different company an easy one.

When KCMO bulk trash removal failed us while getting ready to move the crew a JDog came out not once but twice on short notice to remove items we were not taking with us. The soil was very nice quality and was blown in mid September and within in few weeks I had a nice batch of grass. Jim did a great job blowing it in and then advising me on how to care for it. I highly recommend this service and Jim!

I only wanted a little over their minimum delivery of 3 so I guess money-wise they chose more profitable customers. I thought at least I’d be given an email, text or a call but got no response at all. I am age 70 and feel my health issues are such I thought it wiser to have mulch delivered. I was hoping to start with a smaller estimate of what I might need but perhaps my order was too small. UPDATE: I need to update my review of their service. Abby at Missouri Organic reached out to me and apologized for having missed my order request. She explained she could not see it in their system so their must’ve been a glitch. These thing do happen! She arranged for me to get my mulch delivered the next day. I am pleased with the quality of the mulch and believe it is a better value to get it in bulk as opposed to bags. In addition, the delivery driver was very helpful and professional in placing the mulch where I needed it next to my home. Overall a very good experience that I will use again.

At first it seemed to be moving pretty quickly but I ended up waiting in line just over an hour. When I left it was almost 10am and the line was still just as long.

I had a very mixed experience this time. The staff member that took my license was very kind and helpful. The one who seemed to be in charge was curt, and asked me with an accusatory tone if I lived at the address on my license. He then stared at me for a few seconds like the thought I was lying. He didn't actually say it but a review of my dash/cab camera and I stand by those initial thoughts. Anyway, they took my old paint cans and florescent light tubes that have been piling up over the past decade and I was on my way. Plan on sitting in line at least half an hour if you go on Saturday morning. I was one of the early ones and it took about 40 minutes. I'm guessing those that showed up 20 minutes after me will be there over an hour based on how long the line got and the speed they were moving.

kc foodfunfamily rated it 2/5: It's a great facility if you can find something that they will take. Their web site says they take plastics #1-7. This actually means they take milk jugs and water bottles. Find another solution for all your other plastics and save the frustration of taking your recyclables for a car ride there and back home.

Gradually over the years they have been raising their prices, I'm assuming to pay for improvements. Last time I was there I had a small truck bed full of fairly lightweight scraps and they charged me a minimum of 80 bucks. The minimum used to be 25 or 30 when I started. How do you justify raising your prices that much for the same service? Never again.

brandon griffin rated it 5/5: Decent prices, friendly staff even had a treat for my dog who rode along with me. They stay on top of keeping the dumpsters not overflowing. Only had a long wait a few times just depends on when you go, and despite people sweeping their truck bed out directly onto the ramp and not into a dumpster the ramp is fairly clean. Gone multiple times never had an issue.
H Halverson rated it 4/5: The facility is fast and convenient for dropping off your household waste but the minimum charge as of this writing is $90.75 for up to 1 ton. So small loads can cost you quite a bit.
They do take bags of trash for $13.23 each so depending on the things you are throwing away it might be cheaper.

The hours don't support people who work a normal 9-5. Between that and the minimum load charge I rated it a 4 out of 5.

Chris Peters rated it 1/5: Very unreliable. Never know when they may be open or closed. To have a full load, go there during their stated business hours and they will have sign up saying temp closed. Unprofessional and unreliable.
Mike A rated it 1/5: Over the last 6 months they have been randomly closed during business hours. They are now closed for disposal, "equipment broke down, people not showing up for work". Call before you show up with a full load. Yuck.
