The final cost was more than double what we expected based on the estimated time needed; the work seemed slow going and had to be done over two days. However, our main complaint is that after spending almost two full days, he left various issues unfinished, including several small holes in our interior drywall under the window (he patched two larger ones with putty but now there is white putty on our gray wall), and there are now nicks and scratches on our interior window sill, leaving it looking much worse on the inside than before he did the work. On the outside of the house, he painted a few inches around the window white, and our house is yellow – definitely looks unfinished. Further, he left a line of white paint in our yard all the way from the back of our house around the side yard and to the front, including on our driveway. He also left without talking to us when he was finished and emailed the invoice, so we didn’t have a chance to comment on any of these issues. Would not recommend.

The fees are astronomical just to get someone to come to your house it is $177 that’s just for the first hour they throw on all kinds of extras band charges service copies change the light fixture will cost you about $500 it is an absolute sham for working class people is nearly unaffordable. My service technician openly cussed in front of my children. I was very upset please do your research there are alternatives to Mr. Handyman

    I was very pleased with the gentleman who came to make the repairs (Mike Stone). He did a very good job and was easy to work with.
    The only thing I did not like about the project was the cost. It was probably about double than what I expected. However I knew the $98/hr rate before hiring them. Unfortunately, a lot of that time was spent waiting for drywall mud to dry.
    I also knew about the $54 charge to come out. However did not realize that would be charged each time. As my project took 2 days, they had to come out twice and charged $54 twice. I felt the 2nd charge should have been waived.

If you say you are gonna be at the job site in 30 minutes. Be there in 30 minutes. Just don’t leave the customer hanging without a phone call back saying you won’t be there.

    * Remodel an upstairs bath and add a toilet to the room.
    * Knock down a wall and move a halfbath, combining 3 rooms Kitchen sunroom and breakfast room (butlers pantry) into one.Tile-both the upstairs bath and downstairs kitchen area had missing areas of grouting or grout started crumbing soon after installation.
    Island- They were supposed to move a built-in cabinet to the middle of the room to use as an island. During demo, they destroyed it and I was left fixing/replacing the item.
    Paint- both upstairs and downstairs is not even and is sloppy. You can even see a line in the middle of the wall in the upstairs bathroom.
    Electric-They apparently do not have an electrician of staff. They agreed to lay heated floors in the kitchen without consulting a true electrician. I am not left with heated floor mats that I paid $600, and a new thermostat that was another couple hundred that isn’t even needed.
    Masonry work-Ugh. first they took out more wall then was agreed to, then when they fixed it, well it looks awful, crooked and sloppy.
    Supervisor of workers/subcontractors-
    I worked from home most of the time that work was happening at my house. I guess Buddy, my contractor, expected me to supervise his staff because I would call him about an issue and he would ask me why I didn’t stop them from doing something. I barely saw him or Leo the entire time Feb-April….
    I am a manager and staff need direction. I do not recommend using them.

They are always very responsive, professional and willing to talk things through to make sure I know exactly what to expect. I feel like they understand how important family pieces are to me and they treat them with respect. The biggest job they did for me was refinishing my grandmother’s table, chairs, cabinet and buffet. The chairs were originally built in a very fragile way, were in bad shape and had been glued and poorly repaired by others over the years. Bennett’s took them completely apart and rebuilt and refinished them along with the rest of the set. Since then the chairs have had heavy daily use for 5 years and have stood up to the challenge of my family. I will be forever grateful to Chad for helping me preserve such an important piece of family history that will now be part of the memories of my children.

They responded promptly with an estimate, then scheduled the work and completed it on time. Since the work was outside, I didn’t even have to be home at the time. They cleaned up completely and the work looks very professional. I’m glad to have the railings in place before winter weather sets in.

They came over to assess the project with two people to listen to what I wanted and take accurate measurements. I had a studio basement made into a one bedroom with an easement window and additional closets. I changed some details and Micah was responsive about them and made them without complaint. All of the subcontractors were also professional, pleasant and worked quickly. When there were minor problems-they fixed them within a day or two. I can’t say enough about how happy I am. I am having them do another project upstairs.

Nancy and her team are exceptionally great at their craft and never once treated my tiny home need as a burden or less significant than their bigger jobs (even though I know they’re so busy right now!). Barry came to replace some steps on our deck that were unsafe. He got everything done in less than two days and it ended up looking way better than the original steps! The attention to detail is amazing and the customer service was great. Everything was easy start to finish. Thank you all for your hard work!
