The unit passed the inspections with the duct tester and the city with flying colors! They had to make modifications due to the new unit being a little different and they crushed it, it’s a beautiful job and works great! They also installed a new thermostat, smoke detectors and a carbon monoxide detector, they all look great and work great! I’ve done home loans for 20 years so I’ve seen a lot of good work and a lot of bad work, these guys are top notch! I refer them to everyone and can’t thank them enough from my family and I!

good gg rated it 5/5: Recently had a tech service my ac system. Initial issue was the fan was running but the ac was not working. A tech came out and changed a motor. The ac worked, but when it would turn off the fan would continue to run, no complete shut off. After much back and forth and 3 visits the tech finally was able to resolve the issue. As I under stand it, the motor from the manufacturer was defective.
Likes: the tech was very accommodating. Came out multiple times, one day stayed till the sun went down trying to fix the issue.
The tech was able to fix the issue in the end. And I even had a follow up call on the weekend to make sure everything was still working properly. This was definitely a plus for me, I really felt taken care of!
Dislike: that the new motors that were installed were defective from the manufacturer, I understand this is not necessarily something that is the company's fault. And it might not be a regular thing. But in this heat, the fact that it took so much back and forth to fix was a little upsetting.
Again, the tech did a great job and went above and beyond to make sure everything was up and running in the end. Lee's has serviced our ac in the past and any time prior service has always been satisfactory.

Lee's made it so rhat they could come earlier than expected.our guy, Efrain, did SUCH A GREAT JOB repairing and cleaning so that we could have heat again. He also educated us about our system so we know what to do now, what we need to replace so we don't have future problems. Took lots of photos if our system to educate us and show what will need to be fixed soon. Did what needed to be done today so that we could have heat in the house. My husband and I highly recommend him and Lee's- they even do plumbing! Looking forward to having him come back and serve us whenever we need him again.

Got a text saying that the tech will be there around 9:30-10:30 am so I got my brother in law to come stay at the house since my wife and I both work. My brother in law stayed until about 12:30pm because he had other things to take care of, 15 mins later the tech showed up on my doorbell camera (no text no nothing). Since there was no one there they had to dispatch someone to come out on Saturday since it's considered an emergency because of the cold weather. Tech checked my unit, parts and labor was about 1,000 dollars (no big deal considering I have children and we have no heat). Tech told me that the warehouse was closed and he won't know if they have the parts I need until Monday. Monday I get a call from the tech saying that they don't have the parts so he will next day air the parts. Tuesday comes and I planned to take a half day off so that I can be there when he comes. I called the office for an update, no update but she said she'll make sure someone calls me for an update. It's after 3pm, no call, no update and still no heat in winter. The saddest part is that we pay for the preferred customer membership.

Great warrantee (10 yr parts ,10 yr compressor, 20yr heat exchanger, 1 year labor, 3 years preventive maintenance) 4 day turnaround from purchase to install. 5.5 hour install. Very clean and professional. You don't have to go through Costco to use Monarch.
Monarch is the company contracted through Costco for HVAC services in the Central Valley from Bakersfield up to Merced extending out to SLO. They are the company that is used at the Lennox kiosk in the store. You don't have to go through Costco to use Monarch. The longest wait I had was getting the home inspection (3 weeks).

The home inspection was completed by Brent. Brent did a thorough inspection of my condenser (outside) unit, registers (vents), intakes, evaporator, heat exchanger (furnace), and delivery system (ducting). Having been a HVAC tech in a past life, I had an idea of what needed to be done, but I didn't have the tools or manpower. So, I was curious to see what Brent was going to say and/or upsell since I had already conducted my own inspection.

I was pleasantly surprised that Brent hit all the major areas and took pictures of the areas that I missed. My HVAC system was over 20 years old. My ducting had holes in it from other techs (electricians, cable techs, solar, whoever was in the attic) that got a little hot and created their own vent but didn't patch it up. Not only that, but there were parts where the ducts had pulled away from the joints, so there were plenty of inefficiencies. I wasn't getting between 25%-35% of the air that was supposed to be delivered to the inside of my home. Instead, I was cooling/heating my attic.

When we went over the cost of a new unit, I was really surprised that Monarch's own brand was much more affordable. It's not some foreign made product, but an American made product with a great warrantee:
– AC: 10 year parts and 10 year compressor
– Heat: 10 year parts and 20 year heat exchanger
– All: 1 year labor, plus 3 years maintenance

I decided to purchase the system that day.

The system I purchased improved my unit's efficiency from a 5 ton 10 SEER to a 5 ton 16 SEER which should save me about 38% in energy costs.

Install occurred 4 days after inspection and purchase. Install began at 7:15 AM and was completed at 12:45 PM. A total of 8 techs worked on my install. Tarps were laid throughout the house and at least three people carried large items (two carry, one guide) to ensure no walls were hit or nothing else damaged.

After installation, airflow as noticeably better and operation of the system noticeably quieter. It remains to be seen how much more energy efficient the system will be.

They listened to our concerns and issues we had since our unit was installed 2 ½ years ago and took it upon them to fix everything once and for all. We really like Travis as our preferred tech. He clearly explains what we need to do to maintain our unit running smoothly and avoid future issues. Also he makes sure he answers all of our questions and addresses our concerns before he leaves. Overall, we are very happy that someone finally listened to us and took the time to come to our home and do it personally. We feel pleased that everything got resolved and that they were very professional at addressing every little problem and even added extra years of warranty for our peace of mind.

When we had them come out the first time after buying the unit they try to nickel and dime us for every little thing when we try to explain to the man he said I have nothing to do with that so it seems a bit shady that they would promise you all these things to get you to buy an $11,000 unit then once you do, they don’t honor they’re promises… I’ve had a couple of coworkers and friends meeting AC services and I’m sad to say that I cannot recommend this company

Two technicians, Josh and Collin came to the house within a couple of hours, calling 30 minutes ahead of time to let us know they were on their way. They were both very cordial, respectful and very thorough. They told us everything looked good and suggested a UV air purifier for the house. We have always had great interactions with every technician and customer service person at Allbritten Plumbing and Heating. We highly recommend them.

Michael came out and was very professional and thorough with his diagnosis. He got the A/C up and running quickly! Everyone in the household including the dogs are grateful to have a working A/C again! 🙂

Specialized Air was recommended to me by another company, and so I gave them a call. They immediately sent out one of their senior employees (Taz) to handle my issue. Rather than throwing in the towel and telling me to buy a new furnace, Taz fixed my old furnace and saved me considerable money in doing so. Works like a charm now – thanks, Specialized Air!

I complained and without any fuss they replaced the panel. They have been good with their word and service. These people are so professional and diligent with their work. He gave me a generous discount for being a senior and a longtime customer. I have them service my units twice a year. Their technicians are always knowlegible, friendly, and on time. I've never had a problem with them. I highly recommend them for any HVAC needs you may have.

thomas firby rated it 5/5: My gas fireplace was not working. The service technician ( Mike ) came to my house to diagnose the reason why. He discovered that the gas valve had failed and that I needed a new one. He did not have the part on his work van but told me he would find one and get back to me soon. I received a call from him a few days later and he told me that my fireplace was made by a company that was no longer in business but he would look for a compatible valve and call me back. He called me back and told me he found a new valve and he gave me a quote for the cost of the repair. I agreed and he came out that afternoon to install the new part. Even though the service area of my fireplace was very confining, he was able to install the new valve and get my fireplace working again. I was so happy that he was able to make the repair even though my fireplace was 25 years old and the original valve was no longer available. I was impressed by Mike's knowledge and he was very pleasant to work with and I was happy that he was the technician that was dispatched to my home. 5 star rating for Mike and California Indoor Comfort !

They came at the agreed upon time, were professional and timely with the estimate and explanation of the problem. They were able to do the repair the next day. The technician was quick and the work successful.

I had issues with my ac unit turning on but then the ac inside would not blow air. PRIOR to them another company basically told me I needed to buy a whole new unit. I was sent out to find a new company and get a second quote (mind you I did loose time and money cutting my losses with this other company)

I found VALLEY AIR on Google. So I called for an appt they were able to get me in within the week. Anthony came by and he was very kind and informative. He said we needed to replace a part. A part was ordered and then a second visit was Joseph. He installed the new part. He worked quick, efficient, and answered all my questions. He rechecked the unit with his gadgets and he said it should be working!!! I'm so happy with the service!!! The service fee was affordable, the lowest in town!!! The work that was done was in a timely manner and very efficient. Everyone should call this company, great prices and great staff!!! Let's keep them in business, support Local Companies!!!

We changed to a heat pump from a traditional HVAC system, due to having solar. We are on propane and it just wasn’t efficient, especially with the rates of LP. We were very specific with what we wanted 20 seer or better, top manufacturer and a reputable installation company. We had two units installed. We went with a Bosch 20 seer 4 ton and 3 ton heat pump system. Nate, Angel and the crew were fast, clean and professional. From the day Nate gave me the estimate to the day the job was completed was 10 days. I would recommend this company and team any day! It only took 2 days to install the entire system!!

Martha sent out a few of their guys the next day (Tuesday) around lunchtime. Nathan the Comfort Advisor did an amazing job at communicating with us the next steps, their estimated time of arrival, and an accurate quote for our job. Overall super impressed with their amazing customer service, knowledgeable and timely techs, and the great job they did on our bathroom. It was definitely the upgrade we needed, delivered at an amazing price with kind service! We will be coming to them for any future emergencies and to upgrade our AC system very soon, definitely recommend.

I discovered Costless several years ago as it is owned and operated by a relative of a friend. Over the years, I’ve had them out for both plumbing and air conditioning issues with excellent, quick and professional service.

I’ve had three neighbors use a different company here in town to upgrade and replace their HVAC systems and have told me, “the difference is like night and day” with their comfort in the home. So, with the high cost of my last two PG&E bills, and a home energy audit from about 8 years ago that suggested I had a 25% leak in my ducting, I decided to look into an upgrade myself. My next door neighbor gave me a copy of his invoice from the other company so I had an idea of what to expect. They have a split system and only replaced the AC unit and ducting.

I contacted Costless and Nathaniel respond promptly and was out in 48 hours. He went over several options and gave me recommendations but always let me know, “we’ll do what ever you want”. There was NO heavy sales tactics at all. He answered all my questions at that time, and even more impressing, responded to all my follow up questions that I submitted via email, within hours and on the weekend too. On a Sunday, I decided what system I wanted, Monday Nate had emailed me the contract, Tuesday I took the signed contract in, and Wednesday construction began. (I just got lucky on availability) and by Friday the new unit, all new ducting, all new vents, all new registers, and demolition and removal of the old system was completed.

Rafael and Jose, the two main installers were beyond professional. They graciously put up with my asking questions through out the three day job. End of the day clean up was excellent each and every day. Thanks to these two gentlemen, things could not have gone any better. But they were not alone. Various other technicians were on the job site too. I’m guessing maybe 6-8, and all were professional and courteous.

The pricing could not be beat. Professionalism of everyone I came into contact was beyond rapport. From the owner of the company Angel Hernandez, Nathaniel, to Lyndsay in the office who let me be creative in my payment method (building up frequent flier miles) and everyone in between. I can not recommend Costless Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning more.

sdlindquist rated it 5/5: Of all days Thanksgiving my toilet seemed to back up some so before it could create major issues..I called my warranty company and they said to give it 24 hours.. I panicked and called Costless, they had just closed but the nice young lady said she would see if someone could come by. Immediately she called back and said someone would be there within the hour. I feel bad but I don’t remember the first guys name but a second guy came, Jose. Both super nice and very professional. They cleared my line quickly and all was good. The next day I called again on a line they cleared in my kitchen. Jose came back out and worked for over an hour to clear the kitchen sink line and and laundry sink line. He made some recommendations and left w no charge. Third day my sons shower backed up and flooded his bathroom. I called Costless again and they sent out Kenny and Jose again. Both very very nice and professional. Kenny was actually able to clear the lines in kitchen and laundry room but they said I have some plumbing issues under the house. Anyways…not only was their service exceptional the price they charge is what I pay my warranty company for my copay. I highly recommend them. I have them programmed in my phone and will call them first before homeowners or home warranty! I appreciate the great service from my initial call to the very end!
