I tried to trouble shoot with no success. I called Water Dogs. Jessica and Jon came out same day, and within 24 hours my pool was crystal clear with no draining required. I was stunned. 3 months later, they text me while “on the way” and my service has been superb. They have to be best in New Orleans area. Highly recommend! You will be glad you make the call/switch pool service.

Even through the busiest season with no service appointments available, Jessica still took the time out to give me the best advice possible on how to get my pool back up and running myself. She provided recommendations on reasonably priced products and step-by-step instructions. My pool was as good as new in just 3 days! This company genuinely cares about they work they do, not just for profit. If I ever need pool services in the future, they will be the first I call.

Since then each year my pool light goes out and my pool tiles/pavers are sinking in small areas surrounding the pool. The first and second year Lonnie the owner would send someone out to repair these issues. However in 2019 he has not and it’s like pulling teeth trying to get him to respond to me about the repair work. We aren’t from Louisiana, so when Lonnie tells us it’s normal for the pavers to sink and you just need to pay to get them repaired I believed him. Also, we never had a pool before, so when he tells me that I must turn on the light each day for 15/20 minutes to prevent the light from going out, I believe him. However, when we go on vacation and returns the light doesn’t work.I have been trying to get Lonnie to send someone out to repair these items since April 2019; I’ve called and emailed him weekly, then monthly and he refuses to respond to me. I don’t know what else to do but write this poor review.

However. my pool pump experience an issue in 202O and he sent someone out that day to repair/fix the issue and we greatly appreciated.

I feel I’m a good loyal customer to Pool and Spa Center. I continue to use his weekly cleaning services and I pay on time each month. I don’t understand why these issues continue to occur each year. The pool pavers sinking in, in the same area and the pool light continues to go out within 3/4 months after it’s replaced.

I’m puzzled why Lonnie will not respond to me at least to tell me something. I must mention He replied the first time we reached out saying he will send someone out within two weeks and that two weeks has turned into never / 2 years later still waiting.

Lonnie, can you please send someone out to properly repair these items so these issues will not continue to occur each year?

If anyone knows of a Good pool service company that can help us properly get these items repaired I welcome your help???

Jared A rated it 5/5: Our pool pump died on a Saturday night so we left an after hours e-mail and got a response early Monday morning from Lonnie. He had a replacement Jandy VSP pump in stock and had it installed and running by Wednesday. The technician (can’t remember his name…maybe Sean) was very knowledgeable and took the extra time to talk us through our system as new pool owners that moved in to an home with an already installed pool. Price and response time was way better than multiple other companies in the area. Email with Lonnie was the best communication as he wasn’t always at the store. They also do our weekly cleaning/chemicals until we feel comfortable taking it on and no complaints on their service.

Lonnie was very helpful and sounded very knowledgeable on our first meeting and I felt comfortable moving forward. I let him know that I wanted everything to work and I wanted to be taught how to work everything. I was given 2 days in which the work would begin. It did not begin on the 2 days he told me and I wasn't aware the pool was being replastered until I got an email the next night to say that I had to make sure that the water stayed on until full. There were 3 more times that someone came out and got some of the work done. I was not aware of 2 of them. If I had been told they'd be there, I would have made sure I was there so I can get problems addressed and explanations on how to work the equipment. I called the company several times and no one was able to help me. I was assured my number was put on the list for Lonnie to call me. Still no response. By this time, I was required to pay the final amount in full and I did so. Since then, emails have been sent with no response. Now it's winter, the slow season and I emailed a couple of times again and still no response. I want my pool to be in working order (there is still an issue with my blowers) and I want to be taught how to work everything. The replaster job was done well but the response from the company is less than desirable.

They are also very prompt when it comes to their billing. Cons: Everything else. For the first year I had problems with the heater and they did absolutely nothing. It wasn't until I told the owner I was going to have another company come out and charge him for the work that he finally looked and it was as simple as that they forgot a regulator on the gas line. Need service on the polaris?
Good Luck!!! The pavers started to sink and the only way to get them out was to promise a plaster job at another location. I went to sell the house and found 2 significant issues the main one being that the salt delivery system was out. Good luck texting/calling Lonnie cause you WILL NOT GET HIM. After calling the office I finally heard back and he told me at least 3 weeks!! If they actually performed good maintenance they would have brough those issues to my attention long before I listed the house.

Danny is responsive, easy to work with and has always given me fair and competitive prices. He’s also given the benefit of his vast pool knowledge and experience whenever I have a question about anything (the idea to switch from sand to glass medium in the filter has been amazing!).
Whenever there is an issue Danny will make it right. For example, I had a pump motor burn out one month after the factory warranty but Danny still replaced it for free. When my pool plaster chipped over a year out of warranty he redid the entire plaster job for free! The best part was it wasn’t even a debate, he saw something that wasn’t up to his standards and immediately volunteered to make it right. What more can you ask for from a contractor.

I highly recommend Tropical Pools for all of your pool and pool equipment needs!

Both times they were quick to schedule an appointment, arrived on time and with everything they needed to get us back up and running! Danny is VERY knowledgeable, has excellent communication skills, and is very responsive. Danny gets as much information before they arrive, so they are prepared to get the issue resolved on the 1st and only visit! Extremely honest, hard working, neat, and efficient! I would give them 100 stars if possible. I HIGHLY recommend Danny and his Tropical Pool Service Team! (Oh, I almost forgot to add that this is Mardi Gras Day and it is 20 degrees outside – they showed up and got my pool pump replaced!!) 😁😁😁

I got several quotes from pool companies and repair people. Some of the pool companies didn’t want the job because it was too small. Others gave outrageous quotes. Summit gave me a reasonable quote and Will explained the different options for repair. The fountain didn’t have tile and I learned that tile isn’t just cosmetic, having tile actually serves as a water break to prevent the plaster from drying out and cracking. He was helpful with suggesting colors from the plaster and tile. He didn’t treat this as a small job. He did high-quality work and I was couldn’t have been more impressed. Even his invoice had a detailed description of the work he did. The weather was too damp for the plaster to dry properly, so Will came back to work on Christmas Eve. Will and his crew really went the extra mile!

Last September Will found another leak in the fountain feature of my pool and quoted me the additional cost for repair. Will needed additional manpower to help him fix it, so scheduled it another day. However, despite my constantly touching bases over the phone for over 6 months now, while saying they would finish up the job, they have not. In fact, they no longer pick up the phone when I call. I always paid the bills for their services promptly, so that is not the reason they continue to lead me on and not complete the job. If they would have said “no, we can’t fit you in our schedule anymore,” I would have understood. But the last time I spoke to Will about a month ago, he said he would come by and re-familiarize himself with the job, but he never showed. I’ve left him voice messages, but he has not returned my calls. I do not recommend Summit Pool Services because they have proven they cannot be depended on to finish a job.

James Lambert rated it 1/5: I waited a good while, 3 years, to write this review to see how the work held up. I now apologize for not writing it sooner to anyone it may have helped avoid this company. We hired Terry to renovate our pool including adding a tanning shelf, a waterfall with LED lighting, changes to the steps, new quartz plaster, and new travertine coping, I was adamant before starting that the project had to be finished by a specific time or I did not want to start it. That date was missed by about 2 weeks. The written contract had specifics about the process. Those specifics were not followed. When I questioned it, Terry said, “that’s not the way it’s done”. The initial install of the coping was a complete fail as the subs cut every piece wrong, it actually had made in Mexico stamps showing. I questioned this several times as well as poor quality corner cuts, was told not to worry it would look great when finished. Only one of the subs workers spoke English and he’d been with the company 3 weeks. It all had to be removed and completely redone which Terry did do. I had to point out that the tile was being put in incorrectly, that had to be fixed. There were big gaps in the waterfall veneer that had to be filled. There were foot prints in the final plaster that he said would go away with time. I brushed as per his direction everyday. They are still there. The quartz was an expensive add on but it was finished so poorly, I wished I would have saved the money. The waterfall LEDs began to fail before the first year was up. The grout is falling out of the tile. The waterfall plumbing is leaking outside the pool. Three weeks after they finished, my pool light was floating. When they removed and replaced it they didn’t bother to tell me the screw was complete disintegrated. They were supposed to remove pavers behind the waterfall and ready the area for planting. They were so far behind that my son and I spent a day and a half doing that for which Terry knocked off a $100. He said he had forgotten about it. To summarize, the coping is still uneven with poorly matched corners, the grout is falling out, the waterfall has to be repaired, the LED lights don’t work in one area, the footprints are still there. All in all, I feel I wasted $24,000, because I will be redoing it very soon.

First of all, you did not fix the pool light, that is a lie. You told me about the wedge, I bought it and I fixed it. Secondly, I did absolutely express concern about the footprints, you said brush it every day and they will go away. You also said when installing the waterfall lights that the top has to be taken off the waterfall to change them out. I did not want any of your subs back out here. Next, I have the written contract. It says “holes are drilled in the old plaster prior to applying the new” you said no it isn’t done that way, it also says “cinder blocks will be used to build tanning shelf”, you dumped broken pieces from other jobs in there, no blocks were used. Lastly, it took me a long time to clean off the plaster your crews got all over my pavers and the more you look at something the more you notice. The mortar between tiles and coping has been falling out a little at a time. The waterfall started spewing water yesterday which is why I finally posted. I never called because I never wanted your guys back out here. As usual, you put the blame on the home owner, act as though they are stupid and dismiss any negative reviews. Your arrogant if nothing else.

The crew that came out and did the tile work was awesome!! They were very professional and really pleasant to be around. The quality of work was second to none. We had an small issue with our coping about 2 months after completion Terry’s crew was out here within hours to correct. Each crew that came out for our remodel was very professional. Thank you Aqua Pool Renovations for an excellent experience even at the times we may have been difficult.

I now apologize for not writing it sooner to anyone it may have helped avoid this company. We hired Terry to renovate our pool including adding a tanning shelf, a waterfall with LED lighting, changes to the steps, new quartz plaster, and new travertine coping, I was adamant before starting that the project had to be finished by a specific time or I did not want to start it. That date was missed by about 2 weeks. The written contract had specifics about the process. Those specifics were not followed. When I questioned it, Terry said, “that’s not the way it’s done”. The initial install of the coping was a complete fail as the subs cut every piece wrong, it actually had made in Mexico stamps showing. I questioned this several times as well as poor quality corner cuts, was told not to worry it would look great when finished. Only one of the subs workers spoke English and he’d been with the company 3 weeks. It all had to be removed and completely redone which Terry did do. I had to point out that the tile was being put in incorrectly, that had to be fixed. There were big gaps in the waterfall veneer that had to be filled. There were foot prints in the final plaster that he said would go away with time. I brushed as per his direction everyday. They are still there. The quartz was an expensive add on but it was finished so poorly, I wished I would have saved the money. The waterfall LEDs began to fail before the first year was up. At the beginning of 2018, I bought a house with a pool and had the pleasure of having Glenn and his wife provide our pool cleaning and maintenance. We have a very large pool with a 60 foot lap lane that can at times be challenging to maintain. The prior service did the best that they could but unsuccessfully. TK pool services addressed all the issues, coming out 4-5 times a week for the first few weeks until the water quality met their standards as well as mine!! They eliminated the black and green algae, removed debris and stabilized the water chemistry. They replaced components as necessary including my salt system. In all instances, they effectively communicated anticipated costs and stuck to their estimates!! It’s rather early in our history of service but, at this point, I cannot say enough about this great team with integrity and reliability!! I would and have already recommended them to numerous other pool owners with the highest rating!!!🙏😇
