U R rated it 1/5: UPDATE – i personally unscrewed the traps and found all toothbrush covers and replaced traps with no leaks. Took me 15 minutes (vs. the 2 hours i was quoted). I also found a replacement drain cover ($22 on Amazon). Solved my own problem. I would have been happy to pay Baker Brothers if they were just genuine and honest. $800+ quote for 2 hours of work to clear two drains is INSANE. Like i said, take your business elsewhere.

Original review:

I had a technician named James come out today with Baker Brothers and had him look at our master bathroom double sink vanity. We had to remove our pop up covers and need them replaced but unfortunately until we found a replacement we accidentally dropped 3 plastic toothbrush covers down the drain. I was looking to have plumber remove traps grab them and reattach and if possible provide us with new pop up covers (which the dispatch said they could definitely do). James came out and shared that plumbing was done incorrectly and that we should have the whole thing gutted and redone. Well we've lived here 3+ years and prior owners never had any issues, were good, we just need the plastic covers removed and new covers. Well James spent an extra 30 minutes sitting down writing up crazy quotes for stuff I continually told him we weren't interested in. He wanted to charge us a minimum of $800 to remove traps, snake the drains, and reattach. I said "well if we remove traps and find three plastic covers, there is no need to snake the drain" and James replied by saying "No, I do the job the right way, I'm not a handyman". So when does fixing the problem I am looking to fix turn into a job that you want to do that adds no value to me as a customer. I understand there is no warranty on customer owned parts, and that it may leak, I'm not asking you to snake the pipes or install new pipes…! James had some serious attitude and even after repeatedly telling him we are not going to repipe or do any extra work he sat in our bathroom writing up pointless quotes for $2,400+ because he said he had to give us those quotes.

I text the same photo attached to this review to my uncle in CT who is a licensed plumber and he advised it should take 30 minutes to remove the two traps and put them back on. Why is James quoting me 2 hours and $800 minimum. This guy was extremely unprofessional and unethical and I do not plan on giving any business to Baker Brothers down the road.

  • Jeffrey Casey rated it 5/5: I was referred to Baker Brothers from the remediation company that was cleaning after the failure of my Hot Water Heater. They came the next day, replaced the water heater. In making the appointment and going over the information with the service desk, I was given a quote and approved the work. They were on time the next AM quickly replaced the water heater, politely answered my questions and the work was thorough. I will definitely use them again if I need to in the future and recommend them fully.
  • Chris Simpson rated it 5/5: These guys are great.. our AC went out as well as our furnace not working properly..they came out and helped us out and had to replace our whole system..they got the jobs done quick and cleaned up with no hassle.. definitely the expense was not something we anticipated..but I will say they have absolutely lived up to their claims and our energy bills have been cut in half to 60% and the house is comfortable…
  • Laura Chapoy rated it 5/5: Recently had 2 separate water leaks we've had to call Baker Brothers Plumbing. Andrew "Drew" Floyd was the technician who completed the last job. He is professional and kept me informed as to what he was doing throughout his day. Although there was a minor mistake in cutting the fiber optic line, all worked out well. He contacted Frontier and opened up a ticket for them to replace the line. They also will pay for the repair, which is what is expected. We'll continue to use them for service.
  • Sean Kelly rated it 5/5: Nice and fast! Samuel Banner was able to get my broken coach light back into working order. Best of all, he was able to come a day early and he completed the entire effort in under 30 minutes. No parts, no new fixture, just a nice fast repair that saved me money. Thanks!

Mikey Price rated it 5/5: Kevin kite did a great job when he came out. He was very friendly and helpful. He was able to explain the issue I was having with my water heater and even informed me that it was from 2004.
He was able to get it replaced and it was with a heater made in the USA which I really like. I will definitely be using mr rooter again. Thank you guys

Our technician, Ben Adams, arrived on time, was personable and professional. He diagnosed our problem quickly and got right to work fixing the problem. He explained what he was doing and was happy to answer all the other questions I asked. He cleaned up well – left our kitchen the way it was when he arrived. All is fixed and we are back in working order! Thank you, Ben, for your time and expertise! I’ll be calling Mr. Rooter in the future for any plumbing needs.

  • Dawn Varela rated it 5/5: Long review, but explains my reasons. First I have to say that Kevin is by far one of the most professional plumbers I’ve met in my life. He went far above and beyond what anyone could hope for. We started with what we thought was a clog that turned into a pretty extensive repair. To boot my daughters sweet 16 party was the following Saturday, and the Thanksgiving holiday mixed in. He was able to get the large repair done in time- the dig crews left the yard better than they found it, and my daughters party was not affected in any way. I’m grateful for the amazing service and will call them anytime I need anything plumbing related. I highly recommend.
  • Jennifer Chamizo rated it 1/5: I will never use this company again. The tech that came to repair a simple hole in a pipe ended up taking 2 hours to do it. He spent most of the time sitting in his van. We couldn't figure out why he was doing that until we saw him do the repair in 10 minutes, then we knew he was exaggerating what needed to be done and to increase the bill.
Also, without our asking him to, he tested the water pressure on our house and told us it was in the danger zone. He said it would be $2,300 to fix the pressure on the house and it needed to be done immediately. Our house was 2 years old at that time. We told him no, we wouldn't be doing that at this time as we have never had a problem. He warned us of problems to come if we did not.
Then he insisted that he needed to come inside our house (he had been in the garage for the repair) and test every plumbing appliance in our house to see if it was in good working condition. By this point, my husband and I were so skeptical of this untrustworthy man and his claims that we did not let him in the house. My husband told him he did not need to check anything and we sent him on his way. Overall he charged us $450 to do a simple splice on a tiny pipe that took 10 minutes total. Very unprofessional and upsetting!! This is a company that only wants your money and will do anything to get it.

  • Mia Craig rated it 5/5: I can't express the amount of gratitude I have for this company after my 1st experience today. Denise, was so compassionate, caring, empathic, and very human as my 1st person of contact with this company. I was overwhelmed with feelings of not really knowing what to do about my problem. Denise, contacted me back right away with a plan to get things done today! I greatly appreciated that. I had been without running water since yesterday afternoon. Daryl, a phenomenal man who was also kind and smelled good. He did his assessment and spoke to me in detail about the plan of execution to get my pipe fixed. Upfront pricing explained before any work was to be completed. He overseen majority of the work as it was being done. His crew arrived digging within 30 mins. I was amazed by their response time. They took very good care of my grass and localized the area where they dug. Blake, came in to fix my pipe. He even showed me the actual piece replaced that was the source of my leak. I will definitely continue doing business with Metro Flow Plumbing. They are licensed, professional, honest, and on The Best Picks Reports and now I know why.
  • Steven Ray rated it 5/5: Customer service was exceptional from my initial call, to confirmation call, to actual appointment. The guys (RJ and Ted) showed up at the expected time and were clean in both appearance and while working. Listened to all my concerns and then went over pricing. I called for one main concern but they were also able to take care of several other issues I had been putting off. (Loose shower handle, one new faucet, and tub that didn’t have working hot water) Really great service from beginning to end- will definitely call them again.
  • Michelle Reed rated it 5/5: Ted and crew were absolutely wonderful. Explaining to me and my mom what needed to be done and why. Giving us options and letting us feel comfortable with the decisions we needed to make on some major repair jobs. We have had so many bad experiences with plumbing companies over the years, it was awesome talking with people who were down to earth and honest. I would highly recommend them.

Greg Guthrie rated it 5/5: Norris was prompt and professional, he entertained us with conversation while he repaired the plugged up drain line. He was very knowledgeable and shared information about our system with us so we could better understand the situation. Thank your Norris and thank you Roto-Rooter!

  • Michael Palacios rated it 5/5: The Dispatch called me soon after my initial call and apologized, first, that the team was booked the day of my call and provide useful advice to mitigate the issue until his team could arrive. He scheduled my appointment as soon as possible knowing the urgency of the issue.
The service professional was experienced and knew exactly what he was doing. The work was performed with quality, neatness, and timeliness. I was treated as a valued customer and with sincerity for the urgency. I will be calling Roto-Rooter for any future plumbing service.
  • Tim Forrest rated it 5/5: They came to my house today as a follow-up service to a drain cleaning a couple of months ago. There is a warranty included with the service, so today's visit was free.

Robert, the plumber who was sent to our house, immediately identified additional issues that were still occurring. He quickly resolved these issues, confirmed that they were fully and completely resolved, and then explained them to me. The drain is now functioning like new, and the additional information he provided to me will allow me to perform better ongoing maintenance on it myself as well.

Everything didn't work out perfectly the first time when they came out, but they have proven to be a trustworthy company that has followed through on their commitment to providing quality service.

  • Alec Marvin rated it 5/5: Erik was great and very professional. I put in a request for service around 11:45 and he was here by 1:00. There was no problem for him to use the only clean out port we had and did a very thorough cleaning of the line. Everything seems to be working fine now!

  • Sean Pazoki rated it 2/5: Edit: Took my first shower, and the problem is right where we were before. I'm a little irked as we were told that they ran hot water for 30 minutes with no problems, and a 3 minute shower backed up the system like before. I notified the company and am expecting a call. We will see where this goes.

Called them at 11:00am, had Todd (super friendly and professional) here by 1:00pm as promised. Was straight forward about what was wrong (ended up needing to clean out the mainline). Told me the price up front once we agreed on the work that needed to be done ($$$ matched what my plumber family friend said the going rate is). Plumbing is expensive, just like electrician work, that's just the way it is. Regardless of who is working on your house, it's always a good idea to get an upfront all-in quote before work begins to avoid sticker shock/$$ expectations.

Very happy with my service. Will use them again in the future if needed.

Accurate Leak & Line is a reliable and professional plumbing company that offers a wide range of services to its clients in Dallas, TX. The company has a team of experienced and certified plumbers who are experts in fixing leaks and lines. They offer a wide range of services such as leak detection, repair, and replacement. The company also offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee to its clients.

Thomas C Wright rated it 5/5: I couldn’t be more pleased with the extensive work done at my house by the team at Accurate Leak and Line (AL&L) to replace my worn-out and leaky cast iron sewer piping with PVC. They were recommended to me by a close friend from my church for whom they had done a similar project a year or so ago.

I’m in my mid-60s and have dealt with more contractors than I can count over the nearly 40 years I’ve been a homeowner. Accurate Leak and Line checks ALL the boxes when it comes to being an excellent contractor. Initial assessment, proposal, communication, implementation, and follow-up were all handled with professionalism, consistency and courtesy. They showed up each day exactly when they said they would. When my personal OCD tendencies showed up and I asked too many questions, Christian, my project manager, responded graciously and respectfully to every question I had. The excavation crew from Deanda Excavation was first-rate with every facet of the digging, tunneling and backfill. They took great care with my yard and house during each phase of their work. The team of AL&L plumbers that handled the actual replacement of all the cast iron with PVC (and it was a TEAM – I think it was at least 6 or 7 plumbers) knocked out the entire plumbing job in a single day, and did it with astonishing efficiency. Andres, who supervised the plumbing crew, was very helpful and thoughtful.
The plumbers went above and beyond in ways I definitely didn’t anticipate. For example, they installed two dedicated in-ground cleanouts that never existed at my house before for easy maintenance access at the kitchen sink and half bath drains. If there’s ever a clog, it will be easier than ever to clear. When the project was finished, my house and property were undamaged and greatly improved.

On the cost side – Accurate Leak and Line charged me the same amount that another reputable contractor had quoted – but the competing quote was ONLY to replace the cast iron plumbing under the house and did not include the long run of pipe (actually two separate runs) from my house to the city sewer service at the alley. Because of this difference in project scope, the Accurate Leak and Line quote ended up being substantially lower than the competing quote. And the job is now 100% done.

If you ever need this kind of project done, use these guys! You won’t regret it.

  • Connor Stratman rated it 5/5: We were thinking about replacing our sewer line and got an insane estimate (plus some scare tactics) from Public Service Plumbers. We called Accurate for a second opinion, who sent out Josh who did another inspection. Great guy and an honest man who advised against doing any extensive work since the pipes are working and there’s no emergent problems. You can’t buy that kind of strong character. He could have tried to take us for thousands but instead was polite, honest, forthright, and thorough. If anything does go south they’ll be who I call.
  • Todd Harper rated it 5/5: AL&L have been fantastic. I brought in 6 local companies for bids to do a complete repipe of my 70+ year old cast iron sewer system and bring it up to modern standards. Not only was AL&L the best priced of them all, but they were the only one to offer a 10 year warranty on the work, no one else came even close to that confidence in their work. The crews were helpful and competent, the work they do at the speed they do it is really remarkable and exhausting even to watch- this is hard work. I highly recommend Accurate Leak & Line.
  • Renee G rated it 5/5: A tenant reported a leak in the front yard that had been ongoing for months. I called a couple of plumbing companies to provide an estimate to locate and repair. Dissatisfied with probable cause and cost estimates to repair from local plumbers I kept searching the internet in search of 1) accurate information 2) better cost. I found Chad with Accurate Leak and Line and he was absolutely amazing. Upon his initial call to me he said, “You do not have to meet me at the property… “ that was music to my ears as the issue was in the front yard underground. Yet, on that same day after leaving Chad did come by yet another property I own and repaired a minor inside plumbing issue I thought was underground – No charge. He did inform me their business was underground plumbing only. I was literally blown away with his kindness, professionalism and accuracy. Of course, the front yard leak was repaired, the cost was far less than the other bids received and certainly ACCURATE! They scheduled the job, showed up and showed out. I have never had any more plumbing issues at that property since Accurate L&L repaired the leak. Those guys definitely chose the correct name for their business ACCURATE LEAK AND LINE. The only complaint I have is: I CAN’T CALL THESE GUYS FOR ALL MY PLUMBING NEEDS – both inside and out. They are absolutely amazing!
  • Evelyn Henry Miller rated it 5/5: I highly recommend Accurate Leak and Line. They are the best of the best. Extremely knowledgeable, professional, responsive, courteous and tenacious. I had a thorny, complex, multi-pronged issue involving pier and beam. They painstakingly and meticulously worked to figure it out, including recommending another expert when needed. Everyone one from the office manager to the techs, managers and third-party excavators were excellent. Landscaping was also nicely preserved. Highly recommend!

Lion Lamb Lodge rated it 5/5: Wow, wow, wow! I called star aerobics when I needed a septic inspection on a home we are purchasing in Collin county. Greg informed me that they don’t service my area, but wanted to help how he can. He fully explained to me how septic systems work, what to look for as potential issues, what to beware of when contacting other septic installers/inspectors. He even referred me to a home inspector that was $300 less than the one I scheduled and who Greg felt would be able to assess any issues with the septic. (Has inspection yesterday and this inspector was fabulous).
Greg went above and beyond to help me even though there wasn’t anything in it for him since he doesn’t service or install in my area.
There are some people in the world who are kind, helpful, and honest just because- Greg is one of those people. I would highly recommend him based on his septic knowledge and integrity. I ran some pricing by him from septic companies in my area and Greg’s prices for comparable services were honest and significantly less. -Natalie Page

  • Travis Reynolds rated it 5/5: Greg and his team did an outstanding job on my project. My system was a complete mess from the previous owners and Greg came in and saved the day for me. The work performed was done in a very professional and quick manner. I can also say that Greg is outstanding resource for any and all questions in regard to his business.

I would recommend this company for anyone who needs work performed.

  • David Haynes rated it 5/5: I was having problems with my sprinklers putting out really smelly water after a recent Pump. Texas Star came out and was quick to diagnose the problem as an air leak and dug up the pvc pipe and replaced a joint. The previous company didn't even seem to care to look. Very friendly and knowledgeable, will continue to use their services.

  • John Parr rated it 5/5: I just bought a home and immediately had issues with my aerobic system. I called Texas Star Aerobic to come out and see what was wrong. Greg came out and showed me all the issues going on and let me decide how I wanted to proceed. He placed a temporary pump in until he could return to fix everything. He came back out and replaced the pump and corrected issues with the access holes that were obviously installed incorrectly to begin with, and pumped out all 3 tanks. One of the tanks had collapsed, but he worked until he was able to pump it and and he made a recommendation to have a great installer come replace the collapsed tank. He and his crew are top notch good honest people and really know their business. I will be using them to service my system and take care of all my future issues.
  • Justin Peterson rated it 5/5: This company SAVED me! I was facing a fine of over $400 regarding an expired contract. Greg and his team were quick to get a technician out to my location to inspect our Aerobic Septic System and get a contract started. They called the city and had our case dismissed which saved us from the fine.

I own a business and know honesty/integrity/professionalism when I see it. Greg and Tanya, thank you for doing this. You earned a forever customer!

He did exactly what he said he would do so I also decided after a long search signed a maintenance contract with him! I don't know enough about these dang things so was quite relieved to finely have a competent company looking out for what I left behind!

We also knew it had been longer than the recommended time between cleanings since we have just taken ownership of the home in the past year. They came out the same day, thoroughly cleaned all 3 tanks and resolved the issue with our pump! Excellent, professional, and fair pricing. We definitely will be using them again when the time comes!

They understood that my current contract would be expiring and they expeditiously responded to ensure it would reach Kaufman County Public Works in time. I chose them because they received excellent reviews and they did not disappoint. I wasn't at home, but they kept in communication with me . They were not all about the money, but providing good service because they trusted me to pay them later. I have been very disappointed over the years in my choice of septic tank servicers, and I feel good and confident that we will receive the best services from this company so that our tenure with them will be long-lasting.

Made a call to this company and they squeezed us in at the end of their day (same day). He quickly found the problem, gave us a reasonable quote along with a 2 year warranty on the part. He also answered questions we had about maintenance on the aerobic system seeing how my husband and I are first time home owners. I will not only recommend this company to others, but will save their contact info for future use!

Vicki Baumgardner rated it 1/5: Made appointment to have septic tanks pumped. Was stood up. No phone call, no nothing. Husband called and was told by a very rude lady that their pump was broken and they would try to be out at a later time. The rude lady called back and said they would be out at 2:00 the next afternoon. Again. Was stood up with no notice and no phone call. After an hour of waiting, I called and left a message. The rude lady called back and she informed me that she talked to my husband and told him about the pump. Apparently it's still broken and she did not feel the need to inform us!! Obviously, our time means nothing to this company and communication with their customers has become a thing of the past. I will find another company and will never use this one again!! For what they charge, you would think they would at least let us know something. I assume they only have one truck since the pump seems to be their problem and if they had more than one truck, they would have been able to make their rescheduled appointments. Use at your own risk!!!

Upon Ruiz's inspection, he informed me that the tanks did not need pumping, saving me several hundred dollars.
