I did not sign up with this company, they gained my account through purchasing the company I was using. They immediately hiked my prices. When I called to inquire, they offered to reduce them, then proceeded to hike my price every single billing period since. Every time I was billed, my price climbed. I was also charged numerous fees that I should not have been charged. They missed several pickups. I could never get in contact with customer service. After the 6th price increase, I was over it. I didn't even care at that point what I had to pay, or if I received another pickup from them…I just wanted out from under this unethical company. When I was finally able to talk to someone, she was confrontational, rude and assuming. I requested they cancel my service immediately, and I changed companies. I was with my prior service provider (before the acquisition) for almost a decade. I never knew I could miss any company that much. Waste Connections has been a nightmare and they treat their customers terribly. I absolutely understand why so many people on social media are posting bad experiences, and bailing on them. This is the only time I have ever wanted to pay someone whatever they wanted (that I shouldn't even owe), in order to never have to be in contact with them again. I will never forget how poorly they handled my account.

While billing was less than smooth from the outset, trash/recycling service was fine for the first six years. Service quality began to degrade in 2019. Frequent pick up days were delayed or missed with little to no accurate communication provided and this only became worse through 2021…and no credits were applied to bills for missed pick up dates. Since cancelling service we have scheduled two separate dates for the trash and recycling bins to be picked up and on both occasions no one showed up to pick up the bins.

That hikes prices up with no warning and for no apparent reason. Then look no further! This company is the absolute best at putting off picking up your trash, whether you are a business or a residential customer, you are so important that they will skip your trash day, and it will happen often enough that you will be looking at this review wondering where it all went wrong! I've had this company for two years now, and I can honestly say that I have never experienced worse service in my life. They say that you are allowed to put two bags next to your trash can and they will pick it up, but they won't. They say that they are running on a 1 day delay, but it's more like 3/4 days. They say that you need to have your trash bin out by 7am, but honestly they don't come till 2 in the afternoon, so what does it matter! But seriously, if you are just looking for poor service, this is the company for you!

We received no advance notice that WC would be delaying our service a full week due to cold temperatures when the forecast indicated it would be cold for over a week. GFL had no difficulty picking up today. Might be time to find another service provider.

    UPDATE: 12/29/22 – once again no advance notice provided that collection would be delayed. Since our trash has not been collected since 12/15/22, there's a considerable amount at the curb. I have no trust in this company to provide the service for which they are being paid. I've received no reply to my request for reimbursement for failure to meet obligations last week either.

Until they were purchased any mistake would be fixed same day or the n xt day. Now I'm going on week 3 of my recycling not being picked up. I called and was told we will send someone out after their rounds to pick it up. Yup that team was tired not being paid enough and said nope. Now I'm on day 3 of trying to get any response. And guess what that isnt working.

So we waiting until 10:15. Well that one day the driver picked up at 10:02 and we missed the pickup. So I called in and one person said it would be $25 to come back. I hung up, called back and KARINA!!!!!!!!!!!! SAVED THE DAY for us since we are new customers. She asked if the other rep offered any other options which the other rep did not.   • Brian Long rated it 1/5: I’ve resided at my home for the past 6 years in which the landlord has service set up with Springs Waste Systems. We have had a few rare occasions in which they failed to pick up our trash and/or recycling bins. Over the past two months my landlord, myself, and other tenants have had to call because Springs Waste has consistently been failing to pick up. They would pick up the trash one week but not the recycling or vice versa. The past two weeks they haven’t picked either one up and all of our bins are overflowing. It is hard to get hold of a customer service agent and if you choose to leave a message, they do not call you back. On November 5th I managed to get hold of a nice lady named Rose who helped me and told me she could have someone out Monday 11/8/21 to pick up. When I returned home Monday evening, nothing had been picked up. I called again and after a lengthy hold managed to get another agent but was hung up on when I identified myself and provided my address.
    This company brings a whole new meaning to “trash service.”

    I’ve seen large Amazon trucks and fedex come in out of the area under construction very easily; so the fact that they refuse to get our trash STILL after TWO WEEKS is super frustrating because I know you can get in and take our trash. Definitely will be calling to complain because we now have stinky trash piling up in our garage because of the sheer incompetence.

We live on an alley – the trash sits on the alley all the time, but even still, I pull it to the edge of the alleyway so as not to block traffic. I pulled it almost into the middle of the alley this 3rd time so they couldn’t possibly miss it. It’s still there and overflowing. I’m DONE with this company.

More than twice when I have called to ask when they will be coming out, I have been told that the driver noted that my cans were not out. Look, I'm not perfect but due to my work schedule I have to put my cans out about 24 hours in advance. So for the driver to outright LIE and just not come by for services that i pay for is just ridiculous. Oh and god forbid you need to call them. The line is either always busy or you're on hold for hours just hoping that anyone will pick up and actually help you. This company is garbage! Do not sign up with them!

They did not call or send an email letting us know that they had not received payment. They claim that a letter was sent but it was never received on this end. The year is 2022 – I expect a company to communicate through email at the very least. One day my trash can was missing from outside the business. I had to call to let them know my trash can was stolen. That's when I was informed my bill was past due and instead of calling or emailing they came and took the can. This left my business in a bad situation. When I told the receptionist that they need to call before removing trash cans and I would have provided CC she gave me attitude and showed no remorse so I immediately canceled service and switched to another company that is cheaper and knows what an email is. Stay away from these guys. They don't value customers and it shows in their google reviews. Wish I would have looked first.

  • Greg R rated it 1/5: I have had issues with this company for over a year, but kept giving them more chances. It started with them not picking up trash or recycling. They did not answer their phone, and their online contacts did not work. When I finally got through, they did address my issues and it was good for a out 6 months. Then they recently stopped picking up again and supposedly gave me a credit for the time the did not pickup. A week later, I get a bill for the full amount. A week later, I get another bill for almost the full amount. I tried to contact them to see how much I actually owed and to see when my service was good through. Keep in mind, they bill in advance. After 3 attempts to contact GFL, and 2 weeks later, I get a bill from a collection agency for the full amount, for service that hasn't happened yet. I have been trying to get the situation resolved and they pull this stunt. This is absolutely ridiculous. I am moving services to someone who is actually reliable and responsive. I would never recommend GFL.

    Edit: Well, that was pointless. I finally was able to reach someone on the phone today. After 25 minutes on hold, out of a 30 minute lunch break due to their available hours, I was told that the 4 week credit was applied, but still due the same day, a month and a half before services started being due. Since it wasn't paid by that date, "a bill was sent by a collection agency, but the account isn't in collections." Then why was it sent to a collection agency? And they STILL haven't started the billable service yet or made a billable pickup. I am lucky enough to be able to get the unused amount eventually returned if (read "when") I canceled the service. So, I wasted my lunch time to get no real answers and am still in a collection agency for them doing nothing. I used to think GFL was close to the worst company I have ever worked with, and I work with government agencies. However, I was wrong. They are the absolute worst.

They do not work with you if you are late on your bill for any reason even if it’s for health reasons. I was late on my bill when I was recently very sick with covid and they stopped service when I wasn’t even a month behind. I was about 2 weeks past my due date. When I made my $110 payment, Lisa would not resume my service until I paid the late fee. Once I paid the late fee she still hasn’t sent someone to pick up my trash. Has told me I need to wait another 1-3 days so basically telling me to wait until my regular pick up day. This has all just been so much unnecessary stress. So I don’t recommend the headache.

    I asked that my email was updated over 1/4 year ago and it wasn't. No one contacted me and now I'm sitting with trash while still paying (I had to call and update my card). So now I'm paying for a week of trash service that I wont receive because of bad communication from the company's customer service representatives.
    This company was great when customer service were communicating with their customers. For example, my issues were resolved after hanging up and waiting for another representative. Just call me next time and I'll provide whatever you need.
    25$ late fee was refunded, but the lack of communication or actual humanity was kind of wild.

They do not work with you if you are late on your bill for any reason even if it’s for health reasons. I was late on my bill when I was recently very sick with covid and they stopped service when I wasn’t even a month behind. I was about 2 weeks past my due date. When I made my $110 payment, Lisa would not resume my service until I paid the late fee. Once I paid the late fee she still hasn’t sent someone to pick up my trash. Has told me I need to wait another 1-3 days so basically telling me to wait until my regular pick up day. This has all just been so much unnecessary stress. So I don’t recommend the headache.

    Remember when we were all singing Infinite Disposal praises?

    Well, last week, they forgot about us (for the second time) within several months of new service.

    When I called to address this today with Cheyenne, it was like talking to a completely different person. She was curt, unfriendly, completely non-empathetic and full of excuses as to why they missed us. I basically had to fish to even get a fake apology.

    When I first spoke with Cheyenne (before switching) earlier this year, she was so nice and friendly and offered to "lock us in" to a very low service rate, and promised Infinite to be way better and more customer-service oriented than those other guys.

    Well, they recently raised our "locked in" service price by nearly $10/qtr, AND rewarded us by making the trash and customer service way worse.

    Just needed to vent a bit and also be the cautionary tale that the snake oil has worn off. Turns out, they are just like every other trash service out there.

    Started great, had high hopes, and then went downhill. They failed to pick up trash more than a few times and told my husband the trash wasn’t out on time. Untrue, but unlike other customers who had their trash picked up by their garage doors, if it’s not being out was the case, the guys didn’t (or weren’t allowed to) walk 10 extra feet to grab ours where it always is. Roll out charge.. blah blah. Our previous company, though more expensive, would at least credit those pick ups or do a free pick up when they were back in the neighborhood. Infinite doesn’t give their generous stated time to suspend service, let alone give any credit. Glad there is a new person on our route. I had been picking up trash after pick ups that fell out of the bins. My husband will probably renew, but I wouldn’t.

  • PROVERB 777 rated it 1/5: Beware of this company they are very shady and they like to not do their jobs. Curb guys are lazy and don't like to pick up bags. If you put out recycling and it's not squeeky clean they will not pick it up and will screw you for a whole week. They used to be good but they are literally trash now.
