Parallel parking across the street & perpendicular (pull-in) parking up on semi-sidewalk adjacent to their fenced lot….Be careful as traffic has access from both directions now….SUGGESTION: for those who may be vertically challenged a 1 or 2 step up platform would be helpful esp. at the no. 1 & 2 bottle receiver/compactor unit. The lazy drivers they have sometimes don’t even pick up the garbage, and last month, the truck put my container inside the truck! I called them on the 28th of July and they “put an order for a new one”. Well, today 08/15/22 after 4 weeks, I still didn’t get the new container! Every time I call they say I have to wait 48hrs, but they never show up. This is so frustrating! I told them I was going to put the garbage bags outside and they said they won’t pick them up, because they have to be in a container. Are you kidding me??? Then bring me my container!

Business use to be able to dump their trash here no worries now you gotta show up 7 times to find out they won’t allow you to dump. They use the “covid excuse” they don’t have driver to remove trash. I’ve currently been sitting here since 630am it’s now 930 and I’m looking at 6 empty semi trucks and trailers waiting to haul away the garage but priority can’t get their stuff together. Staff are confused on what they are doing they are constantly arguing and rude to customers on the lot.

Got here at 8:30am to dump a load and I’m still waiting here in line behind a bunch of other people who need to dump their loads and the line HAS NOT MOVED. I called one of the customer service reps on the phone to ask how much longer the wait was going to be and he responded with, “tough luck man. Sometimes you just gotta wait.” He then hung up the phone. Poor customer service skills. Also other trucks are using another entrance and cutting the line and none of the employees are saying anything as if they are showing favoritism. I’ll never come here again. This was such a waste of time. I’d rather go to a more expensive dump and get out quicker and be treated with respect. People say to come here because it’s cheap but you get what you pay for. Terrible experience.

Detroit Disposal has worked well with us to meet the needs/wants of not only the city but for our building as well. Over the phone they're very helpful however dispatch is the one who'd schedule for driver to return and rectify the problem or not as I've almost always called while the trucks are still in the area. Their prices for commercial aren't comparable as they're considerably higher and I hope the service is much better than with residential. They've gotten a lot better with placement of the cans after they empty, I'm grateful for that as oftentimes cars would simply run into the trashcan in the street and we'd be responsible for the cost of replacing them… just as them dropping them too hard causing them to Crack on the bottom.

DOM Alexandriá rated it 1/5: I ordered a replacement can and paid for it was told 7-10 days due to low stock , came home from work last Thursday to no can at all so i called the 1800 number the representative was nice and understanding that I’m a family of 6 with 4 children and the importance of me getting the replacement gave me a confirmation number told me i should have the replacement by Tuesday (48hr ) window . So today i call and this representative was rude and even insensitivity stated that in the system it shows it was delivered. I provided the confirmation number and asked could she see notes of my previous call . She said i see what i told you and insinuated someone could’ve stole it placed me on hold and said she would send a picture where the can was sent. So apparently my can was sent to an unknown house!! And now i have to wait another 7days without a trash can ?! Unbelievably unacceptable. Also i may miss this week trash pickup.

The small crew of employees work together to accomplish their daily tasks and help the people dropping off metals and scraps. The place although dirty is actually organized and (bonus) theres a little cat that has always welcomed me as I drive to the scale. As far as pricing, they are very accurate and accommodating
