They took the lid to my personal trash bin (that I had to purchase due to weeks of missed pickups) and said that since I wasn't at the curb watching,I couldn't prove it was them… So, I had to buy a whole new trash bin…
Today they drug my trash bin down the street, drove over part of it and left it there. Yet, for some reason, Mayor Quimby refuses to do anything about it.
Melanie Riddick rated it 1/5: We recently cancelled our service (in the greater Nashville area) due to poor trash pick-up service and poor customer service. We had switched to RR when they began servicing our neighborhood because it saved us $15 per quarter. We figured trash pick-up is trash pick-up, and we didn't see any sense paying more for this kind of service. Boy were we wrong.
We ultimately cancelled because our trash was not picked up the week of Memorial Day… and then when it was picked up the following week (and we had 2 weeks of trash overflowing out of the trash can), they only took what was in the can. I don't necessarily have an issue with them having a policy of only taking what is in the can (although their competitors are happy to take extra trash sitting outside of the can), but I found it a bit outrageous they wouldn't take the extra trash when they didn't come the week before.

Calling their office is impossible. They do not answer the phone, and they do not return calls promptly (if they return them at all). I even called and left messages with folks at their corporate office since those numbers are online, but none of them returned my call. I emailed our local office and finally got a reply that way, but it was full of excuses instead of taking any responsibility for the issues we were facing.

We have switched to a competitor and are more than happy to pay a bit more for a company that 1) communicates what to expect to their customers, especially when there is a holiday, 2) is willing to pick up if you have a little extra trash outside of your can (within reason, of course), 3) answers their phone and works to keep their customers satisfied, and 4) actually picks up your trash and doesn't argue with you about it if there is an issue.

I'm not sure why it doesn't seem like they care that customers are unhappy (as evidenced by the many, many poor reviews online as well as the personal experience we had). If they going to keep conducting business this way, then all I can say is that if you have a choice, DO NOT USE THEM!
paula thompson rated it 1/5: So disappointed in the service. Signed up as new customer 2 years ago. There are frequently missed pick ups. When you call you are unable to speak to anyone. I pay my bill on time and faithfully but they are unable to fulfill their services that have been paid for. I have received a 2 week notice they will no longer servicing my area as of 10/1/19. I have paid by quarterly bill in advance of course and they have not picked up in the past 3 weeks now. I have yet to receive a refund services in which I have already paid for but they were real quick to stop picking up my trash. So nice to have a full trash can sitting on the curb smelling and swarming with bugs when you have paid for service. Good riddance and I would suggest you find trash service else where as they are a rip off!!!!!
T A rated it 1/5: Received a statement for November, same as every month. No service for 2 weeks. I call and I am told they stopped servicing my area in October. No notice, just gone. The same day I receive an email saying they are collecting empty carts tomorrow…… well the cart has 2 weeks of trash, since no one told me my service ended. Why not send the end of service notice with the statement that I received, or email me me the same way I was emailed about picking up empty carts. Oh and the website , customer portal, still says the account is active. No mention of service ending…..

It took them 2 months to pick up the empty cart that I had , very easily accessible, at the end of my street. It took four phone calls, but they eventually picked them up.

Edit 2: looking back, I had put in 3 requests for pickup during the 1 1/2 year I used them. The carts where always on the curb Sunday night, but was not picked up 3 times. I make it a routine, plus I go to work at 6:30 am (before they pick it up), so I could confirm the carts were right at the end of the street. The request to pick it up because they missed the cart was never fulfilled. The cart was just always emptied during the next weeks pickup.

Our family moved from Nashville to the suburbs about 2.5 years ago & have been consistently impressed with their service — both via email and in person with our garbage truck guys.

When my son was a newborn, I kept forgetting to set out my recycling can & one time I emailed about it. The owner (Roger) responded personally and was able to send a truck the next day & was so understanding. It was such a kind gesture for a new (very sleep deprived) mother.

These days, we continue to be thankful. The guy that drives the truck on Friday mornings Shout out to Chris!) He always beeps the horn for my son & it truly makes his day. We plan our Friday mornings around the trucks arrival so he can see it — & the guys have been waving & honking for over a year now with him, & even wished him a happy birthday over the summer. Recently, we were late to the porch & thought we missed them — the driver reversed down the street just to give a beep & wave 🙂 My 2.5 was sooo happy! Thank you Chris & Bobby!

So today they took the trash bin. My husband called, got it straightened out as the payment was applied to a previously paid statement, and was corrected. Cool. So they brought another bin. My only issue? Did they put it where the other bin always went? Nope. The put it right at the entrance blocking the driveway. They do the exact same thing at my mother's house. I started to take notice that her neighbors' bins are placed back where they were picked up, on the curb or next to the driveway, but hers…it's always put back right in the middle of the driveway entrance.
RED scoggins rated it 1/5: pick up trash only when they feel like it. drive over the speed limit in my neighborhood. and they sure don't like being called out on not picking up trash. they told me that they have NEVER missed my trash pickup. interesting how a phone keeps a log of how many times and WHEN i have called them. last time it was raining and they said that they didn't see MY trash can. maybe invest in NEON colored containers? how does CDL driver see going down the road? color blind? excuses don't make any sense. and WHY are they picking up the trash of the new neighbors and not the OLD neighbors? selective pickup? i pay annually for GOOD SERVICE. (so, people, don't TIP before you get your CUSTOMER SERVICE.) but THREE trucks driving through and then raise gas rates. WHY? do they need a #Logistics person?

Concerned rated it 1/5: What's up with this woman working there? We show up a 4:00pm and she tells us we have 10 minutes to unload. The sign says they close at 4:30pm which was more than enough time to get it done. In addition, she stands over the railing yelling at the guy directing traffic to cut the line off after a certain car. I have seen her at the recycling center off Omohundro and she was rude and refused to let me enter unless I put on a mask while in my own car! She needs to go!!!!!

I have both trash and recycling services. They are prompt and on time. I know that if I need to get trash out on the day of collection, it must be in place by 7:00 a.m. Every once and a while, I am a little late (like a minute or two) and get a chance to say Hello! taking the trash to the men. They are as nice as can be.
Recycling is collected once a month a little later in the same day as trash. Only once did they miss my pick up. And, when I have not gotten the recycling out on time and loaded it up the next month, they still took everything! Also, Hudgins continued to pick up recycling even when Metro Nashville was shut down to both collection sites and pick ups this past winter! Thanks, and way to go, Hudgins!

*The only change I would like to see would be an addition to the website with recycling added as a service and a list of the items that are accepted.

That being said, the one time I do forget, these guys got my back and will even pull it to the curb for me. Seriously! I got it that good with Hudgin's.
Work ethic and integrity and value. They are smart. They do what they can handle, do it well, and grow when they can without compromise.

Chris Demonbreun rated it 1/5: For the 3rd or 4th time this year, they haven’t picked up my trash. My trash bin was at the end of my driveway and very visible. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to collect my trash. I wish the City of Greenbrier would use a different trash collection company.

They don’t pick If you have an event at home where you have few more trash bags than usual they will pick up a couple of them and what is in the dumpster and leave the rest. Also they don’t make sure the dumpster is fully emptied before leaving it.

The driver so kindly took time out of his day to notice my son! He waved at him, honked the horn, and even ran back to give him a small Waste Pro toy truck which he absolutely loved. This gesture really made our day – and the day of everyone who saw it!

They have broken my trash cans repeatedly, and I just witnessed one of their guys punt (like a football) a trash can of my neighbors down the street. They are the least professional and/or courteous service people I have ever witnessed. I wish our city would go back to our previous service provider.
