We've been really impressed with their service, which has been much more consistent and thorough then our past cleaner. On the rare occasion something was missed (maybe twice in a year, both at the beginning as they were getting to know our place), they have always offered to send a cleaner back to fix it or offered a partial refund. Cleaners have been great with our dog, and communication is easy. Though they are pricier than other companies, it seems like they do pay their cleaners better and offer a more consistent service than others, so for us that makes it worth it. We love coming home to SUCH a clean home!

I’m disappointed in our “deep clean,” but far more upset with the owner’s response to my concerns. We booked a deep clean for our mostly clean and well-organized house, just to get some additional help with the spots that don’t get as much attention (grout, corners, etc).
I came home to a floor that didn’t look to be mopped, with corners of dirt in several rooms and massive dust bunnies behind furniture. Furniture was not vacuumed, and overall, no real sense of “deep” clean.
I called the owner to discuss my concerns, and he told me that my house was “far too dirty” and “covered in smoke and soot.” Even after sending photos of the unclean corners and piled-up dust, he claimed my standards were much too high (what?). While we had some candle soot on a few windowsills, our house was not “entirely covered” – and the window edgings weren’t even cleaned. Several employees were at the house, but never told my husband – who was at home – there were issues or that they weren’t able to complete the work. I had to call in order to learn this.
When I became upset with his treatment (because someone from a cleaning company saying your house is filthy is tough to hear), he proceeded to tell me he didn’t feel “safe” sending his employees back. The owner turned my own mental health around on me, saying if he knew I had OCD, they wouldn’t have come to clean the house. And – that he had never, ever had a customer complain before me in 7 years. I don’t think I’ve ever had someone gaslight me this much.

I had two couches cleaned – both that get daily use by a dog and two boys. The amazing technician, Emir, was literally sweating from working so hard to get the dog hair off! The couch looks like a different piece of furniture, and the smell is very mellow and not chemical in nature at all. Emir arrived right on time which was super important because of my schedule that day and finished quickly and also right when he estimated he would be done. Would definitely recommend and use again. I was finding myself avoiding my couch, and now I am looking forward to spending lots of time on it this winter!

- K. Koleto rated it 1/5: I needed cleaning for two small bathrooms and a modest kitchen, and they quoted me that it would take 8.5 hours. This is without doing oven or fridge, even though they called it a “deep clean.” We had only been living here a couple months, and been keeping up on cleaning ourselves, in addition to hiring other professionals. (We’d been trying out a couple other services.)
They ended up charging us the full 8.5 hour cost for these three and a half normal-to-small sized rooms. (I say half because they also did floors in the open plan LR/DR.) There is absolutely no reason they should have taken that long. I complained about it, but the company basically just said, “You agreed to it!” I had not realized that I was agreeing to a 8.5 hour minimum; I was under the impression they’d adjust the price once they saw my home was not “condition 4” as they assumed and once they saw the actual needs. Instead the cleaners announced when they arrived that they were promised an 8.5 hour job and that they were going to stretch it out and make it take that long. I have no idea how she spent four hours cleaning that kitchen, or two hours in the bathroom. I can scrub that bathroom top to bottom myself in 45 minutes. This is one of the worst cleaning experiences I’ve had in Seattle. Never again.

The service had asked us questions about what we wanted and made an appointment; the 2 cleaners showed up right at the start of the appointment window and obviously had read the notes from us. We opted to leave while they cleaned for everyone's covid safety so they let us know it should take 3 hours; while we were on our way back they called to let us know they were finishing up. They did the extra task, which was lovely to come back to.

We contacted their team late one evening in an effort to get our store deep cleaned the following day, and sure enough they had a team at our building the following morning at 8AM! Not to mention, incredibly affordable, especially considering all the techniques and cleaning applications they applied –who know commercial cleaning was so sophisticated?! Needless to say after today's experience we secured a regular service contract with Emerald City through the remaining part of 2020. Do your employees need peace of mind? Hire ECC! We've tried other services over the past three months, none of which executed the scope of work in such detail! Booking our initial appointment only took a few minutes, and they were able to accommodate our cleaning needs in the same day! It almost felt like an Amazon service (everything you expect, killer value, and quicker than expected). Sure, we had an idea of what needed to be cleaned, especially considering the current circumstances of the pandemic, but ECC took things to a whole new level, offering several disinfectant solutions, all of which restored our employee's sense of safety working at our office. Definitely ask about a longterm service plan (fantastic value)!
